OK, so I have the positive pregnancy testS! - we have told one person, are agonising about who else to tell when, we have bought two books on pregnancy.

But what happens next? Do I just phone the doctor tommorow to make an appointment, should I wait a couple of weeks? Then what happens?

Total newbie to this, no idea what I am doing at all!

Hi all.

Jess, that is wonderful, if a bit scary news. Do you have any more scans in the next few weeks or do you have to wait till the 12 week mark?

Fio - what a strange booking appt! Problem is only the baby knows when it will arrive!!

Congrats Newdkmum - I hope you have a better pg this time. with my ds ( 23mths) i had no sickness and this time ive felt sick since week 6. I hope yours is different the other way round!!

Flossam - so pleased at your news, i hope you can start to enjoy being pg now

Ive felt a bit sorry for myself this week. ive had a stinker of a cold, and of course cant take anything, and had bad ms. Had to apologise to Dh for being a moany old cow last night - its a good job he loves me!!

Hope all with worries are ok. How are things edie and angua?

Thanks for all the congrats. I don't have my booking appt until I am 11.5 weeks so I think my next scan will be sometime after 12 weeks. I wish it were sooner.

PurpleLostPrincess · 29/01/2007 00:03

I found the thread LOL!

I think I'm due around 22nd September and I'm about 6 weeks pg. I have a DS (12) and a DD (8) and have had 2 m/c's so I'm really nervous about this one!

Hope all goes well for everybody and that you enjoy your pregnancies to the full!

Hi FioFio, sorry to hear you are feeling so pants Having a cold and not being able to treat it with a kilo of Dairy Milk because you are sick as well is just not fair. Hope you feel better soon and get a chance to take it easy today.

Hope everyone else is feeling fabulous - went to the gym yesterday as I am determined not to turn into the spherical blob I bacame when pregnant with the DTs.

My mum is babysitting tonight so DH and I get to go out together for the first time in months - must try not to fall asleep, tend to become comatose at about 9pm these days

Nettee · 29/01/2007 10:11

Hi everyone, joining those of you feeling miserable with morning sickness, really hard to get out of bed this morning and I have to work a late shift today - don't know how I am going to get through it. Although I do think the adrenaline helps???

I was away for the weekend being pampered by relatives and I know that helps with the sickness - really don't know why - back to housework this morning and feeling rough again.

Hi NewDKmum - how awful to have been sick till till the end of pregancy - hoping you have a better pregnancy this time

ZamMummy · 29/01/2007 12:31

Hello from warm(!) and rainy Zambia

Had 8 week TV scan this morning and there were two sacs
But couldn't detect embryo or yolk in either of them.

What does 2 sacs at this stage mean? Is it definitely twins or what? This is my 2nd pg and didn't have a scan until 10+wks last time.

Also my dates may be up to 3 weeks wrong, so is it OK that there is no yolk sac or embryo(s) right now?

Have got to wait a week.....(and I've never been any good at waiting) - I'm scared!

lou031205 · 29/01/2007 12:47

wow - 2 sacs!

I think if you are possibly only 5 weeks that is fine. Two sacs may mean twins, but not definitely.

Hope you are all well

I feel rubbish! Morning sickness, feel like I am about to faint at times, but hey, roll on the next 7 months.

spraklynewthing · 29/01/2007 13:56

Hi everyone,

So sorry to have posted only one or twice and then....silence. Having quite an eventful time really. Have had two episodes of bleeding and two trips to the EPU. Both scans were fine and everything looked good for eight/nine weeks so to that!

Sickness wise had a bout for a week around 6 weeks. Actual sickness has tailed off but still get 'sea sicky' feeling very early in the morning but usually goes by the time I wake up. Luckier than some, I think!

Major problem at the moment is serious tiredness, dizzyness and shortness of breath. Thinking it could be my blood pressure? Anyone else had this?

Hello to all new recruits and hello again to the old. So sorry to hear about MNers having problems especially angua .

canadianmum · 29/01/2007 14:40

Congrats to all new mums to be!!

Jess, congratulations, twins are great, mine are now 4 and completely lovely and best friends. having said that, I am really hoping that I am having just one this time, as the first year with my twins was hard work and I really would like to experience caring for just one baby!!

Feeling a bit down today, there is "slapped cheek" going around the local area and I had a blood test last week, turns out that I am not immune. The risks to the baby are quite low but I still feel worried. This is the problem with being pregnant while looking after small children.

My ms is not too bad but I feel dead tired most of the time, looking forward to the second trimester for sure.......

snowpatrol · 29/01/2007 16:05

hello ladies, i am quite new to these threads have been ttc for 3 months now. Wondered if anyone could give me any advice - i normally have 27 or 28 day cycles, i am very regular and can normally predict my period to the exact day. This month we used opk's and i am pretty sure i ov'd on day 17. Today i am cd 31 (14 days post ov) with no signs of af. Did do a home test today which showed up negative. Did anyone on here have negative results after their period was due? I don't have any pregnancy symptoms except a mildly crampy tummy. Please help as it is driving me crazy!!!!

AnguaVonUberwald · 29/01/2007 16:57

Unfortunatly I am out. Had a very bad weekend, got out of hospital late Saturday night.

Good luck to the rest of you.

Can someone please remove me from the due date list, I can't quite face doing it myself.

Angua - so, so sorry to hear your bad news. I hope someone is looking after you and helping you through. It is an awful time, i have no real advice but just send you lots of hugs and support

NewDKmum · 29/01/2007 21:25

Angua, I am really, really sorry to hear your news. I don't know what to say. I hope you are able to get some rest and to rely on the support of your family and friends. I wish you all the best.

laksa · 30/01/2007 09:10

Angua, I am so sorry. Theres nothing else I can say, it really isn't fair. I hope you feel better soon. xx

Chattyhan · 30/01/2007 12:32

Hi all just wanted to let you know that with 2 trips to EPU and 2 scans everything seems fine for me. They've changed my dates a bit from 7 + 2 they said this morning i'm 6 + 4 so that may be the reason for my negative pregnancy test the day after my af was due?!

It was so great to see that little feotus and the heartbeat flickering on the screen. I also realise that i have been very lucky with my result - Thinking of you Angua xx

canadianmum · 30/01/2007 12:33

Angua, you poor thing, I am so sorry. Life really is unfair sometimes. Wishing you all the best in the future.

canadianmum · 30/01/2007 12:36

snowpatrol, could easily be that you just tested too early, try again first thing tomorrow morning and maybe you will get a BFP. I tested the day AF was due and got a very faint positive, the next day it was a strong positive. I also had a very crampy tummy for a few days before I did the test. Good luck!

TinaLC · 30/01/2007 13:39

Hi everyone, i have been quiet since my one and only post but have been keeping up with eveyones posts. I am looking for some advice. I have what I think is a really bad stomach bug for the last 3 days. cramps, vomiting, diarrhea (sorry TMI!) I am 5 wks 3 days and am sure this can't be morning sickness. Has anyone else had this as MS and also if it is a bug could it harm the baby and should I do to the doc's or will he send me home with a "there's nothing I can do"?

Angua, also wanted add how sad I am for you . My heart goes out to you and wanted to send you a big hug.

canadianmum · 30/01/2007 14:47

tinalc, you might want to call your GP, saves a trip in case he/she doesn't think it is serious. I don't think a tummy bug can harm your baby but best to get a professional opinion!

Thanks Canadianmum and Fiofio, I will call the docotor and see what he thinks (didn't even know you could do that....thought you always had to go in!) Normally I am quite sane individual but every twinge makes me paranoid... I think it is not knowing what is normal.

EdieMcredie · 31/01/2007 20:03

Does anyone just feel really RUBBISH at the moment? Im being sick 2-3 times a day and just feel generally shit.

Still, as long as the baby is OK I can't grumble!!...
