Cool think it goes nice with the rest of their names too. Would have Samuel, Jacob, Seraphim (phin), Jonah and Hugo (Hugs) and Digby.....hmmmmm......methinks i like it. Hope dh does too

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 16:45

Jasper's nice, Was it you lg&t that liked jasper but too many J's?

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 16:46

Not convinced Dh will like it lgt? Not that I know him of course, but it's quite different to the ones he liked that you didn't, isn't it?

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 16:47

MKG love Cassidy and Jasper, would be having a Jasper if i didnt have soooo many J's already! You can shorten it to Spurs...how cool is that! Someone else use it i love it so much.

12weeks what?

ShowOfHands · 04/01/2007 16:48

I love Digby, it's very Rupert

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 16:48

Am doomed if dh names it, he wanted Brutus, caesar and Montague >

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 16:49

Love Rupert too, Hugs was Rupert all through my prg but nasy ex was having none of it. Dh likes it but it's another name for a naval officer so he wont have it

ShowOfHands · 04/01/2007 16:49

But Monty's fab!

ShowOfHands · 04/01/2007 16:50

I know a very sexy Rupert, known as Roo to all his friends. Very dashing.

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 16:51

This is my boy list Monty (not montague or montgomery), Teddy (ted), Digby, Sonny, and Wilbur

ShowOfHands · 04/01/2007 16:51

Obviously meant Monty as short for Montague.

Having Finegan for a boy but love Seth, Barnaby, Bartholomew and Arthur.

I'm going for Matilda if it's a girl and I quite like Luka for a boy but the jury is still out on the boys name

Problem is half the job is getting the first name - then you have to agree on middle names and all the boring ancestral names DH wants to use

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 16:53

Oh my god, what teribble news about ggg. I just can't imagine what she and her family must be going through. Hell I'm sure! Just shows there are always far worse things happening to people somewhere. Poor ggg

MKG · 04/01/2007 16:54

Digby gets my vote.

ShowOfHands · 04/01/2007 16:55

We're having Mathilda Beatrice for a girl!

cinnamontam · 04/01/2007 16:56

I told someone Vlad the Impaler the other day as a joke and she bloody believed me

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 16:56

Have also begged for Arthur but dh having none of it, love the name finnegan you could have a phin like me! Barnaby sooo cute too. Is your dh in agreement?

SOH i love the name Monty but fear that dh would want to call it Montague and shorten it. Poor child going through school with that. I could have a Capulet next and maybe a Mercutio....aaaaggghhhhh!

ShowOfHands · 04/01/2007 16:56

Think Creena likes Matilda too so we could have three on the May thread. I picked it aged 5 when my parents read 'Matilda' to me. It's mine!

Surprisingly, me and DH in total agreement over names!

haven't hear a bad one from you ladies yet - they are all great.

My brother gave me a book called 'Cool names for Babies' - there are some absolute corkers in there

Frenchsmallfry · 04/01/2007 16:57

I just can't think about first names yet! I haven't got a clue. Have a family tradition on dh's side that the middle name starts with a J so I try to sort that one out first. I like Joja for a girl and Jorge for a boy, but they would have to be middle names as I don't want to have another JJ in the family, dh's nephew is JJ.

largeginandtonic · 04/01/2007 16:58

Vlad...am sooo not saying that to dh he would love it. Have i said before the kids call me Matilda if i refuse to answer to mum! I love the name, if it was apink variety then it would have been Dulcie, i love it. Gonna save it for next time though..

cinnamontam · 04/01/2007 16:59

Yeah - I've always loved the name Matilda. I picked it about 6 years ago long before I was thinking about babies

ShowOfHands · 04/01/2007 17:00
