Hello ladies! Haven't been around for a few weeks - not even lurking. My last three weeks at work were just so hectic I barely had time to breathe, and the last thing I felt like doing when I got home was spending more time on the computer!
Am now 38+2 so bubs could technically arrive any time now. I hope he/she decides to be a bit early so I don't have to go to 40 weeks (or more!) as am fairly uncomfortable now. All is still well - saw midwife Friday and baby is 3/5 engaged and cephalic; also has its back to my stomach and is apparently in the perfect position. Just hope it stays that way now! I'm still feeling really well and managed to walk 2 miles into town this afternoon (although I did get the bus home!) I seem to have been very lucky in this pregnancy as I've had no problems with iron levels, nose bleeds, piles, fatigue, backache, swollen hands/feet and have just carried on as normally as the bump has permitted. Am a little uncomfortable now but I guess at this stage it's to be expected. Midwife said appointments are usually every week at this stage but as I'm so well and everything's fine she didn't see the point in dragging me in for an appointment this week. By the next appointment I'll be 39+4 so pretty close to my due date (if I get that far!)
Hope everyone has had a good Valentine's Day. Am beginning to think from reading back over a few posts that I have a model husband - as well as a gorgeous card this morning which he left with a single red rose, I was also surprised with a delivery from Interflora of the most beautiful bouquet. The words in his card were lovely too - brought tears to my eyes. I'm cooking us a special meal tonight (well, M&S are!) so I guess I'd better go and get on with it as he'll be home soon.
