Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

Mor, I mentioned aqua natal classes. I love that Asda costume, but its sold out in my size. I'll keep an eye on it though.

Pinklily1 · 16/03/2016 21:00

PS Congratulations to the new BFP'ers!

RaeSkywalker · 16/03/2016 21:05

Thanks for the advise all.

I'm not sure about telling my parents. I would definitely tell them if something went wrong but I don't want them to be excited and then have bad news, if that makes sense? I'd rather have the scan first basically. Insight sound her out and see if she'll be ok...

RaeSkywalker · 16/03/2016 21:18

Sorry for my appalling spelling above- I blame predictive text and a super long day at work!!

Danni89 · 16/03/2016 21:20

Welcome and congrats newbies!!

Just a heads up for anyone that shops on ASOS, they have a 20% off offer on maternity wear when you use the code MAT20

IndiX · 16/03/2016 21:58

Congrats newbies!! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months xx
Thanks danni! Shame I ordered some maternity jeans the other day without the code, never mind gives me an excuse to get other colours in them Grin

Sodasoda · 16/03/2016 22:36

Thanks for the code danni, love a bargain!

I've been babysitting my nephews (aged 1 and 3) tonight on my own and I'm knackered! Youngest one poo-ed in the bath! Lucky my nausea has subsided now Grin

LillianFullStop · 16/03/2016 23:14

Hello checking in after a busy week! 9+1 now and the nausea is wearing off but bloated/tired/gassy/hangry all the time. After making it through the wait I've got a few appts coming up finally - booking in next week, 10+2 scan (private) after that then 2 weeks later my 12w NT scan with NHS. Counting down!

Laurenrl · 17/03/2016 00:03

Pooed in the bath hahaha! So funny soda, Oh the glamorous lives we have ahead of us :) (can't wait) x

Newmrs22 · 17/03/2016 06:55

ooh Mor thanks for the swimming costume link. I was thinking I should start swimming.

I know what you mean about the anomaly scan. It's terrifying. I don't have mine until 21 weeks which seems ages to wait.

Haha the poo in the bath story is hilarious. I'm sure we'll all have lots more stories like that soon!

Pinklily1 · 17/03/2016 07:13

Morning ladies

Hope you are all well this morning.

The poo in the bath made me chuckle! I had a similar experience with one of my nephews when he was younger!

Yesterday my midwife recommended getting a Count the Kicks app. Has anyone found a good one? And for anyone using Pregnancy +, is it working ok? Mine reflects how far gone I am but the daily articles are stuck on 14 weeks and it says I have to subscribe to see more. So irritating!

Thanks for the ASOS code Danni. I bought some Seraphine under the bump jeans yesterday and they feel super comfy. I'll be checking out ASOS for all the other bits though!

Laurenrl · 17/03/2016 08:20

Been getting feelings like popcorn popping in my stomach, am I feeling my baby? (I'm 12 weeks now) didn't think it would be this early! Always when I sit after being active

Runner05 · 17/03/2016 08:34

Pink with Pregnancy+ you only get the first trimester of articles etc. free. After that you pay about £3 to unlock everything else. I think it has a built in kick counter too.

So I have a cold Sad it's not bad but what little energy I had has been utterly sapped and I just want to go back to bed! Not happy at all.

Haven't felt Potato for two days now. I know that's normal at 16/17 weeks but it's still very distracting. I keep stopping what I'm doing to concentrate on whether I can feel him or not.

Runner05 · 17/03/2016 08:35

Sorry, I was wrong, it's a contraction counter that comes with Pregnancy+

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 17/03/2016 11:38

Lauren I think that's too early to feel. They say super earliest is 16 weeks I think.

Pink I paid the extra for pregnancy+ so I have the count the kicks app on there, I'm not using it yet though.

Runner I didn't feel Pip all last weekend. Really distracted me too. I find it I'm moving around a lot I don't feel him so much.

The kick counter is under the baby tab on pregnancy+ Runner

Pyxie · 17/03/2016 13:22

Afternoon ladies, hope nobody is feeling too poorly today!

After some worrying spotting at the weekend I had an early scan this morning and I got to see a heartbeat. I'm only around 6 weeks (6+2 by my dates) so it was amazing to see it flickering away on the screen. I'm still being cautiously optimistic but I'm hoping this will let me relax a bit!

Runner05 · 17/03/2016 13:35

Aww... I'm sure that was a massive relief Pyxie

So today I've been having light headed spells and sparkly dots in front of my eyes quite a bit (I've had it happen a few times over the past few days too) looked it up online and saw something about high blood pressure. I know the midwife was a bit concerned about that last week but I can't get through to the midwife team to ask.
What do you think I should do?

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 17/03/2016 13:36

Phone the midwife Runner. Best to be safe.

RaeSkywalker · 17/03/2016 13:51

Can you call your GP Runner?

RaeSkywalker · 17/03/2016 13:57

Glad you're ok Pyxie. Must've been a lovely, relieving moment!

Sodasoda · 17/03/2016 14:30

I'm glad I amused you with my nephew poo story. The memory of me trying to scoop out poo with a cereal bowl will stay with me a long time! Blush

I had a lot of spotting around 6-7 weeks which carried on for about 3 weeks off and on pyxie. I ended up having 3 scans at early unit and all was fine. I think it's quite common but scary. A heartbeat is a great sign though.

I'd keep trying the midwife runner. My ovia app does say in second trimester you're more likely to feel dizzy and lightheaded so it could just be that? But best to be safe.

BunchOfBobs · 17/03/2016 14:33

So I'm an idiot and clearly didn't read your post properly sorry Runner. I second calling your GP.

Runner05 · 17/03/2016 14:50

GP only sees you if you call first thing in the morning (stupid surgery) it's passed now so I might wait and see if it happens again. I think I might just be a little over sensitive to stuff after my consultant appointment.
I also keep getting a twinge about where my fibroid is and wondering if it's the start of red reduction. I'm sure it's just muscles aching though. I always feel really achy and dreadful when I work in the office at the moment. I've asked for a new chair with better back support but although my manager has agreed the department who orders the chairs are being fussy and saying I don't qualify or that I have to have an assessment which will take months... I've only got 16 weeks left at work Hmm

Sigh, just a meant old day.

Runner was your BP high at your last appt? Mine is low and I get dizzy everytime I stand up and have the weird eye thing too. Have you been eating enough? Low blood sugar can cause you to feel light headed too. Hope you're feeling better soon and get through to your midwife at some point to put your mind at rest.
I'm having one of those 'eat everything in sight' kind of days..anyone else have days when they can be really good and then other when they want to eat EVERYTHING in the fridge and cupboards?? I've just made a great discovery too that smoked salmon and Philadelphia cheese IS allowed during pregnancy, ive been craving a bagel with soft cheese and salmon for days. Can't tell you how happy this makes meGrin

LisaTheGreek · 17/03/2016 16:52

Indi - WHAT?? I thought we couldn't have smoked salmon!

Have I got that completely wrong? I would effing LOVE a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel right now.

Do you deliver to my work?
