Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

First hope you had a nice holiday. I completely lost my appetite at the beginning, had no nausea but I just really struggled to eat breakfast or tea. Lunch was fine though.

Sodasoda · 12/03/2016 20:14

I've had a very productive maternity shopping day / stealing SIL's wardrobe. I think all events over the next 6 months are now catered for Smile

How are you feeling today miley?

Hope you had a lovely holiday first. I've had the opposite problem - huge appetite! I needed to snack all the time to stop the nausea. Not helpful so soon after Christmas!

Im definitely lumpier than I was - no particular bump - just more fat, less gym going and bloating from constipation. Delightful! Going to try and get back to regular gym going next week, I'm feeling like I could manage it now.

IndiX · 12/03/2016 20:59

First my appetite comes and goes, sometimes I feel like I need to eat just to stop the nausea. Tonight however I've been an absolute pig eating anything in sight..2 packs of hula hoops, 2 pieces of cheese on toast, bowl of fruit and fibre and a bit of soreen. I've put myself in bed just to stop pigging out. I really wanted chocolate but thought I'll 'be good'....I should've just eaten the chocolate Confused

firstgo1984 · 12/03/2016 21:00

Holiday was good thanks bunch and soda. Was hard avoiding all the lovely sodt cheese and meats on offer as well as the wine and port!

Pinklily1 · 12/03/2016 21:21

Hi ladies

First - I have the eating thing. If I'm honest, its getting worse. I eat dinner at night because I know I'm meant to. I have no remote interest in it or desire for it otherwise. I can eat breakfast and lunch though, although still around the nausea.

I think today might be the day Miley was going to Dubai, if she has managed to go.

Hi Shelb! I am 16 weeks on Tuesday and a few people have said to me this week that they can see a little bump now. I quite like it, although I still feel i'm in that fat stage.

firstgo1984 · 12/03/2016 22:11

I manage to eat, but smaller portions than normal. I don't feel hungry though. As i say, i don't feel sick so can't blame that.

Laurenrl · 12/03/2016 22:27

I'm either starving all the time of I feel sick and so I'm eating everything in sight or can't find anything at all that appeals to me. Definitely put quite a bit of weight on as have hardly left the house apart from for work and my heavy eating days! Hoping next trimester I can be healthier!!

Afternoon hope we are all having a nice weekend? I have woken up full of a cold feel horrendous Sad

Runner05 · 13/03/2016 14:49

Weekend is going ok... Although OH has advised me that I'm whiny when I don't feel good HmmI shall think of a way to punish him soon.

Hope the cold doesn't linger Nev

Thanks runner... I think our OHs would get along. Woke up from a two hour poorly sofa nap first thing he says to me "you farted so loud in your sleep it made the dog jump and go and lie by the other sofa". Delightful.

BunchOfBobs · 13/03/2016 18:52

Hi all,
Hope everyone has had a nice Sunday. That's me home from the baby and toddler show. Lower back is now killing me as is my usual pain but worth it for the 26% saving on the car seat package we got. My parents were buying us it and wanted to get the full works so we got infant seat, base and the 12 months-4 years seat. Was all set on the maxi cosi 2 way family until we saw the Be Safe modular system. Also got 16 bibs from funky giraffe. SIL swears by them after I bought her a bunch for her LO.
I want to go the the Brum baby show in May now as I know that's much bigger, this was rather small.
No more purchases for me until a week tomorrow after the scan. So bricking it now.

shelbTa · 13/03/2016 18:53

Evening all.

Haha nev that's funny. I was like a floatation device last night I was so gassy.

Any 16+ weekers felt flutters yet? I keep feeling an odd stabby type pain above my pubic bone, I'm assuming that isn't baby.

X

Pinklily1 · 13/03/2016 19:05

Hi all

Bunch, we are going to get the Be Safe too. We were also set on maxi cosi before but I really liked he Be Safe and how long it lasts.

Shelb, I get that. Is it not growing pains? Something like round ligament pain I think it's called.

BunchOfBobs · 13/03/2016 19:12

Shelb sounds like round ligament pain, I get that when I sneeze. I've been getting flutters and now pokes for the last couple of weeks (now 18+1) especially after eating, Pip loves the food!

Pink nice to hear someone else agrees. We've gone for the ocean blue, it was lovely in real life. In so much happier with their whole set up with the shock absorbers, extra cushions in the older seat and the 5 point harness rather than 3. The sun canopy works much better too. It looks pretty snazzy IMHO Smile

shelbTa · 13/03/2016 19:17

Thanks ladies, I'll give it a Google.

Oohh what you talking about, car seats??

X

IndiX · 13/03/2016 19:18

The talk of all this baby equipment gets me excited! I can't wait to start buying after my 12week scan and when I announce it properly to everyone.
I have those stabbing pains too when I sneeze or get up too fast.

BunchOfBobs · 13/03/2016 19:32

Yup Shelb, Pink and I seem to be going for the same one, we bought ours today.

Jesus I was really enjoying my hypnobirthing book until I saw this .... Hmm

Nevlet · 13/03/2016 19:43

We have gone for cybex as got a good deal at london baby show. We talked about a longer lasting system but by the time baby is out of infant carrier we hope to have another on the way and would need a second seat anyway... We got a delivery date for car seat and pram ordered at baby show last month yesterday... Feels slightly more real now!

Pinklily1 · 13/03/2016 19:44

Bunch - that is scary!

Shelb - yes, talking about car seats. We went to look in John Lewis at the MaxiCosi Pebble Plus but the Be Safe brand one was lovely and really good with all the safety requirements. Bunch, i've only seen it in black, but will have a little Google at other colours.

LisaTheGreek · 14/03/2016 07:35

Morning everyone! Can people help me with a question, please? (I've also posted this on the October board, so apologies if people are on both).

I'm going for a wee ALL THE TIME. From about 5-6 weeks I was going about 6 times every night, and several times during the day. However, it's been getting worse recently.

The last couple of nights have been 8-9 times (I wear a Fitbit so it tells me what I'm doing), and I feel like I need to go all the time. And when I get to the loo, it's nowhere near a full bladder (which I could understand if I'm drinking loads), but sometimes just a teaspoon or so).

My question is, is this still normal, or could it be a sign of a UTI?

I've never had an infection before, so don't know what one is like. This just feels so far beyond what I expected and what the books say. Thanks

Nevlet · 14/03/2016 07:44

Morning lisa i went through a phase a few years ago of recurring UTIs and this sounds very similar to how they started does it also feel like you still need to wee as soon as you have been? If so then definitely sounds UTI like... However I have found since about 7 weeks I am weeing all the time too but that I do actual need a wee each time ie relatively full bladder. It may be best to get checked out as quite a few of us have found we have had UTIs in first trimester with no symptoms at all!

LisaTheGreek · 14/03/2016 08:03

Thanks Nev, yes that's exactly it - as soon as I've gone I feel like I need to go again.

Sounds like I need to get this checked out. Or can I just flush it out of my system?

Nevlet · 14/03/2016 08:07

I would get it checked the ones i had a few years ago didnt even respond to antibiotics (not surprising given they stay in my stomach about three minutes) and needed hospital treatment... Had one at 9 weeks in February and managed to get rid of it just with epic amounts of water! I would say get it checked to be on the safe side

Mileymoocow · 14/03/2016 08:13

Hi ladies, I did in fact end up in hospital on Saturday morning Sad I'm home now and feeling a bit better (maybe because of the nutrients pumped into me?). I go to Dubai on Wednesday and am convinced it's going to be hell. Anyway, 10 weeks today..m can't be for much longer surely!

BunchOfBobs · 14/03/2016 08:21

Lisa definitely sounds like a UTI. I had all the symptoms of one but nothing showed up in any tests, I still had to take the antibiotics just incase. I'm up weeing 2-3 times a night at the moment and in thirsty all the time, drinking 500ml of water overnight- this time they think it's GD, should get my results back today -fun!

Miley you poor thing, it sounded as though it was what you needed. Fx it eases in the next 2 weeks. Dubai May suprise you. I'm a huge believe in mind over matter and some times that massively needs a change of scenery. I'm not for a second suggesting you can think your way out of MS but if you're in a happy environment surrounded by loveliness it can only help your mindset into helping you feel better. Try to think positive about it and know you'll have a lovely time. I can think myself into a broken ankle I swear!
