Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

lauren I'm in bed too. Seems to be my routine atm - get up around 9 if I have to walk the dog or 10 if I don't (after vomming of course), try some breakfast, back to bed with snacks and water, up around 1 for lunch then laze on the sofa until 6, walk the dog again then shower and bed. It's genuinely all I can cope with right now.

Pinklily1 · 10/03/2016 19:56

Sorry to hear about the fibroid issues Runner. On the plus side, at least you will get more monitoring - much better to be over monitored than under. Fingers crossed it doesn't cause you pain though and that potato stays snug until he/she is due!

Miley, your scan is on the same day as my 20 week one! I'm also counting down the days.

Bunch, sorry if I have missed this but what led to the physio referral? Was it something back related?

I'm a combination of you all when it comes to poo! Blush I feel constipated for ages, but can't go, then I'm desperate and its diarrhoea like. Sorry, I do like to share such lovely stories when it's dinner time Grin

BunchOfBobs · 10/03/2016 20:12

Indi it happened at 13-15 weeks, noticed a lovely cone done on my abs when they were engaged. Figured it out and spoke to midwife at 16 week appointment. She confirmed it was. It's not supposed to happen until 28 weeks if at all. "It's normal but it can become abnormal and can cause issues with pushing" super yay Hmm

Pink I've been getting sit bone pain since 8 weeks which has gone into my pubic and tail bone so GP finally referred me when I told her I needed something done as it was getting worse. We didn't assess it at all today so will see what Physio says next week.

Miley sorry to hear your day ended badly .

Sodasoda · 10/03/2016 21:44

runner sorry to hear your consultant appointment wasn't as positive as you'd hoped. I had a pretty negative appt with a consultant a couple of weeks ago (warning about prem birth amongst other things) to the point I asked if I should be really worried about baby / me. He looked surprised and said 'oh no, of course not, we're just taking extra care'! I think medics sometimes forget that we need a bit of reassurance sometimes. Hopefully it's just extra precaution and as you say, you'll get lots of extra chances to see baby!

bunch that sounds really painful. I hope the bandage helps things.

I'm definitely feeling a lot better and more energy - I've been out with friends for dinner tonight which was nice. I might even be able to have a poo, that would be a nice end to the evening! Blush (sorry - thought I'd follow pink on the TMI Grin)

Thanks for 20 week scan reassurance dates. I'm not buying a single baby thing until after that. Partly because our spare room is a tip currently! And we will need to spend time making it look nice and nursery-like but until we throw things out there isn't any room to put baby stuff anyway. On the other hand, I'm not holding back on maternity shopping!

Co5mo · 10/03/2016 22:07

I hope no one's eating their dinner... Pink you might have overflow diarrhoea. Look it up and if you think that's the problem I'm afraid a trip to the GP is on the cards to get something decent to clear you out. I spend a least some of each day at work talking about other people's poop but it's not very often I take this part of my work home with me. Shock

Pinklily1 · 11/03/2016 07:57

Cosmo, that sounds delightful! I will look it up!

Happy Friday everyone! Thank god it's almost the weekend Smile

IndiX · 11/03/2016 14:08

How's everyone getting on today?
I actually feel slightly human today and have managed to get to the gym, put a wash on, clean my kitchen and about to take the dogs for a walk. I feel like i have to make the most of my good mood/non sickness incase it strikes back tomorrow.
Is anyone doing anything nice this weekend? DH has his work night out tomorrow night so I'll be watching ant and Dec with the dogs and having an early night I imagine. Oh how my Saturday nights have changed!

Mileymoocow · 11/03/2016 15:01

indi I'm the absolute pits today. Strongest nausea I've ever had so OH has cancelled his night shift over time to look after me. He keeps fetching me stuff to snack on (so far nothing has stayed in) and he's telling me to phone the doctors as I might need to go to hospital Sad I think ant and Dec is probably as exciting as my weekend will get too!

IndiX · 11/03/2016 15:33

Oh Miley I'm so sorry, are you holding down water?

LaraG13 · 11/03/2016 16:51

Hi all!

miley that's horrendous. Do think about going to hospital if you can't hold down water.

indi glad you're feeling better today! I hope it continues!

I'm getting so fed up of sitting around feeling nauseous. It's hard not to feel sorry for myself, even though I know others here have it much worse. I think it's just being stuck in the house not working or going to the gym or anything. I feel like I'm in my own little dreamworld of sickness!

Runner05 · 11/03/2016 17:24

Aww sorry there are so many people feeling sick right now :-(

I think I'm going to have a quiet weekend too. OH wants to do something tomorrow but apart from that I just want to sleep. I just ache all over Sad

I managed to find a medical journal today about fibroids and their effect on pregnancy. It actually was quite reassuring. Basically said most likely I'm going to be in pain but miscarriage is only slightly more likely and early delivery is only 10% more likely. There is the possibility of other complications but I'm only slightly more likely to get them than a normal person. Also I looked up early delivery and after 26 weeks the outlook is actually very good which I find reassuring as it's only 10 weeks time and while ideally I want to carry to term I'm happy to read anything that will make me feel more positive.

Hi all

It sounds like we are having a ropey day sickness wise, which is rubbish.

Miley, I know hospital isn't very appealing but do call the doctors if it gets worse or go to hospital. At least they would be able to rehydrate you through a drip if needs be. Hopefully tomorrow will be one of your good days though SmileThanks

We are having a quiet night in tonight, then tomorrow I am wedding dress shopping and then we have friends over. I plan to sleep most of Sunday!!

IndiX · 11/03/2016 20:26

How are you getting on Miley? Any break in the sickness?
Lara I know what you mean, I feel bad moaning about the nausea but when it's constant you just don't want to do anything.
I'm so glad you're feeling better about your fibroid runner, I'm sure everything will be fine and at least the doctors are keeping an eye on you.
After a quite productive start to the day, the nausea and fatigue hit about 3pm. Not the worst day I've had though and at least I managed to be semi-normal this morning. Currently in bed waiting for gogglebox to start at 9pm.

Runner05 · 12/03/2016 07:46

Morning, how is everyone feeling today?

I'm 16 weeks today ant Potato is now the size of an action figure. My back has started hurting right on schedule Hmm and I'm desperately hoping to feel Potato kicking soon.

OH still hasn't decided what he wants to do today so I'm hiding in bed until he makes his mind up Wink

Hi Runner, sorry to hear about your back. I assume that's only going to get worse rather than better?

Great news about being 16 weeks though. That feels so far gone!

I'm 10+3 today and have to quickly pop to the hospital to give more blood. The midwife called me last night and left a voicemail saying it was about my blood and could I ring back asap. I already know I've got a blood disorder so I'm completely freaking out, and then she tells me they 'misplaced' my last samples and can I pop over to give more.... Hmm

So... You've lost my blood. Super. All looking really competent and efficient so far....

Runner05 · 12/03/2016 08:31

I know I shouldn't Lisa but that did make me giggle.

I've come to the conclusion that the midwife team is very hit and miss. I just can't believe that some of them have actually managed to qualify Shock

Morning all.
I hope people are feeling better than they did yesterday. Managed to make myself I'll yesterday by erm getting sunburned....... It's March Hmm
It was a gorgeous sunny day so I had the back door open and I took my lunch outside and hypnobirthing book and settled down for a vitamin d session. I was in leggings and a hoody for most of it. Yet started to feel a bit rough later and spotted a sunburned face. So bizarre. Did not feel well from it either. Think I got too warm.
I'm 18 weeks today and have a sweet potato/dragon fruit very bizarre as I've had some tiny sweet potatoes and some the size of my head! Pip is moving more and more and I'm getting more and more nervous for my scan a week Monday.

Today is a general chore day, food shop, tip run, de winter the garden, rotate seasoning wood, re stock the log shed, wash the dog blankets and Hoover. Anyone else up to something more exciting? Tomorrow is the baby show which in looking forward to.

Sorry to hear your back has kicked off Runner, mine has its moments. I'm so itchy today, I can't stop sneezing.

Sodasoda · 12/03/2016 09:25

Morning all,

Hope everyone is feeling better than yesterday.

I used to love lying in on a weekend but now I wake up at 7.30 and can't get back to sleep - really annoying! Anyone else like that?

I have a nice day ahead of me. Heading to SIL - she had a baby in September 2 years ago so we're going to dig through her maternity clothes, have a nice lunch and then pop to the shops to get anything else I need Smile

I'll be interested to know what the baby show is like tomorrow bunch

shelbTa · 12/03/2016 09:29

Hi everyone

How are we?

I've missed loads! Work has been so busy.

Runner - you're going through it aren't you, glad to hear you are in the system now so to speak with your fibroid?

Good effort in March bunch!

Hi pink!

Miley - how are you feeling? Really feel for you.

Well I now officially have a little bump I think, 16 weeks on Monday.

X

Planeteer · 12/03/2016 09:53

Morning all, sorry I've been so quiet. DH back from France but needing lots of tlc, which coupled with my nausea and exhaustion has left me feeling fairly brain dead!

Sorry to hear so many of us are suffering with sickness. I've definitely got it mildly in comparison but it doesn't half tire you out even at this level. Miley, Lisa and others who've had it really badly I have so much respect for you guys!!

We were supposed to be having a long weekend in Vienna but DH has been told he's not allowed to fly, so today we're going for a gentle mooch to one of the potential places we might move to, to explore and make sure we like it.

Happy Saturday all.

Laurenrl · 12/03/2016 12:33

Does anyone on here have the link to this thread please? My best friends just told me she's pregnant and cos I'm on my iPhone I can only share to my Facebook wall not just get the link!

LisaTheGreek · 12/03/2016 12:56

Thanks Planet, you're very sweet.

I don't think I've been as bad as Miley (hope you're ok, Miley!). But I sure do hope the sickness goes away soon.

I've found that sea bands really help, and cereal bars seem to be the best things to nibble on. Roll on the second trimester!

Laurenrl · 12/03/2016 13:09

Thanks Lisa! Hope everyone's having a good day. Have spent the morning in bed which has been lovely!

firstgo1984 · 12/03/2016 19:44

Hello all. Lots of catch up on. Been on holiday for a few days so missed a lot!
I'm 6+6 today I think. I have so far managed to get away with no nausea or vomiting at all! Still have sore boobs though and I did a sneaky scan at 6 weeks and saw a tiny fetal pole with a heartbeat so I assume all is well and I am just very, very lucky.
I have had zero appetite though for the last week or so and have to eat because I should do rather than because I feel i want to.
Anyone else had this???
