Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

Evening all! Welcome to new people!

planet I'd be really annoyed by that. I think it's totally your choice and you shouldn't feel at all guilty for not telling her sooner. I don't think her reaction is very fair at all.

Sorry you're having a rough time miley

Yay for your milestones pink and soda

I am so unbelievably hungry it's crazy. I just can't satiate my hunger!

IrregularCommentary · 01/03/2016 20:51

Bloody hell Planet. I cannot believe you didn't tell someone your personal, huge, scary/exciting news sooner when they were having a few rough days at work. I mean, selfish much?!

Planeteer · 01/03/2016 21:02

Haha Irregular I know right? There I was thinking that it was my choice when to tell people. Urgh. Am not hugely surprised, she's often quite difficult, but still, an early page in the 'What Not to Say to Hormonal Women' book.

Finally caught up. Miley you poor old stick, so sorry little bean is still giving you hell! If it's true what they say about sickness being a sign of a healthy pregnancy then you're due a tiny human that basically glows! Hope your scan tomorrow is a lovely treat.

Good luck to others having scans tomorrow - who else is up for them. indi and Lisa...is that right? Look forward to seeing some pics Smile

Mileymoocow · 01/03/2016 21:20

planet just read your post! Bloody hell nothing like you making your own decisions as an adult 😂 I won't lie I'm quite nervous it's twins. I consulted the googles and it does say extreme morning sickness and earlyish bfp could be signs. God help us if it is, I only ordered one!

nev your curry sounds delicious! Even to me!

Runner05 · 01/03/2016 21:44

Lara I have the same stupid hunger but if I keep eating I get over full and feel ill and bloated. Increasingly feeling as if pregnancy is one big practical joke.

Planet in my experience sister and rational are two words that just don't belong together Hmm

Miley just keep focused on the fact that it will get better after 12 weeks. I know it seems like forever but honestly, towards the end that thought was the only thing stopping me from sobbing constantly.
Oh, and sever morning sickness doesn't necessarily mean twins. My singleton seems to delight in making me poorly!

Feeling like an utter balloon today! I'm huge and the stretch marks are multiplying. I just can't believe how big I am already and because I know the baby is tucked down low I feel like a real fraud. It's all bloating, displaced organs and fibroid Angry
Might have to use my scanner to check on the Potato tomorrow. I'll be glad when I start to feel him as every now and then I just feel very unpregnant Confused

Wow, lots to catch up on!

Morning everyone.

Miley - hang in there, it does get better honestly. Are you still signed off?

Planet - yeah I've had a couple of people who've clearly thought 'why are you only telling me now'!

Well so much for glowing second trimester - I'm exhausted and feeling barfy again, but now the added extra of a headache! Anyone else gone back downhill???

X

BunchOfBobs · 02/03/2016 08:52

Lots to catch up on for me too.

Welcome to the new joiners and congrats.

Planet that's ridiculous of her. Ignore her, she'll get over herself soon.

Shelb I'm still waiting to glow. My face is still falling off and breaking out. I have super greasy hair. Can't go a day without washing it. And I appear to now be enormous. I'm struggling to do up my coats. The last two days my bump appears to have massively popped, it should be a shock to DH when I see him tomorrow.

Tmi alert. I have the worst wind today. And it's so eggy. I've driven my poor DM out of her own living room!

Runner05 · 02/03/2016 08:53

Shelb I know exactly how you feel. I think the feeling good in the second trimester thing is a myth Hmm

Had a little listen to Potato this morning (he's still there) I think the placenta (which I think is at the top of my uterus) is definitely higher than last week although Potato doesn't seem in any great rush to move upward. His heart beat is really strong though. I'm so hoping I'll feel him wriggling soon.

I've also weighed myself again and I've started putting on weight. About 3lb in 2 weeks. I'm not sure I'm happy about this. I do however look like I've swallowed a lumpy beach ball Hmm

Haha, bloody hell bunch!

Runner - hearing ya, I'm putting on weight now when I get on the scales, it's normal though, apparently 1 pound a week is normal!

I too am struggling I hold in tum, exciting though!

IndiX · 02/03/2016 10:10

I'm so happy ladies! Just been for my early scan at EPU and everything was fine!
They found Bean straight away and there was a good heartbeat and they said Bean was healthy in there.
They said the brown spotting looks like it was a small clot outside the sac which is nothing to be concerned about.
Can't wait for my 12 week scan now Grin

Lovely indi! X

LaraG13 · 02/03/2016 10:22

Yay indi I'm so pleased for you. Was thinking of you today. Beautiful scan of a beautiful bean!

Planeteer · 02/03/2016 10:27

Hooray Indi!! Lovely news

Sodasoda · 02/03/2016 10:59

Brilliant news indi!

Off for my 12 week scan this afternoon - wish me luck!

Still coming to terms with the news that ovia won't put me in the second trimester for another 2 weeks! She was a pain when I was TTC but she's really p*ssed me off now!!

That's really annoying planet, some people are just so self involved.

Laurenrl · 02/03/2016 11:17

Yay congrats indi, see we all said not to panic :) (and all know that's impossible)

I've been stressing all night because at my midwife appointments yesterday she had to class me as 'single supported mother' because me and my partner (who own a house together and have known each other since 16) aren't married. It's really annoying me and I'm not sure why!

Danni89 · 02/03/2016 11:20

Lovely pic indi!

Good Luck Soda, got mine tomorrow ConfusedSmilex

LisaTheGreek · 02/03/2016 11:45

Congrats Indi, that's a beautiful scan! So glad everything is ok.

Lauren, that's really weird. I saw the the screen for my midwife at the booking-in appt and she ticked the box that said something like 'married/living together', so even if I wasn't married I would have been in the same box.

I can definitely see why you're pissed off to be in the box she put you in! Madness

Mileymoocow · 02/03/2016 12:05

shelb Yeah I'm signed off until 20th March but I might have to go back on Monday as we're flying to Dubai 2 weeks today! I'm really not comforted by you ladies saying the easy 2nd trimester is a myth!!! Haha. The only way I can deal with it is to sleep immediately after I've eaten, it usually but not always works

indi how lovely! You must be absolutely thrilled to bits!

lauren I'd be pissed at that, too. I'll let you know what they put me down as but tbh I see having a mortgage together as big of a commitment as being married! It's becoming old fashioned to get married before you have a baby because the price of weddings is absolutely ludicrous and a lot of us are refusing to pay 10s of thousands!

IndiX · 02/03/2016 13:40

Thank you everyone, I'm so happy and relieved. I cried with relief at the scan! Good luck to anyone getting scans this afternoon Thanks

LillianFullStop · 02/03/2016 14:16

Wow indi congrats on the happy scan! You must be so happy to see your lovely bean doing well :)

Bugmuncher · 02/03/2016 14:33

indi how lovely to have that reassurance. When's your 12 week scan?

IndiX · 02/03/2016 15:13

Bug it's 1st April so not too long to wait!

Co5mo · 02/03/2016 15:53

That's not long at all Indi. I'm hoping mine will be around the same date.

Booking appointment went well yesterday. I was expecting to be classed as an older mother but I'm not apparently so that's good. I was also pleased to be spoken to like a human and not patronised. Lauren the single mother thing is just for martial status stats. Annoying when you don't consider yourself a single mother but I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.

And in other off topic news, I got a promotion today. I've worked so hard for it I just want to curl up and go so sleep now but alas I'm stuck at work until 7pm.

Laurenrl · 02/03/2016 15:54

Congrats on the promotion Cosmo!

Sodasoda · 02/03/2016 17:32

Just back from my 12 week scan and it was fab Smile. 12 weeks exactly today with due date of 14 September. It's amazing the details you can see.

The nuchal fold was 1.6mm which they said was fine. Apparently if I'm high risk they will phone me in 3 working days so fingers crossed for no news!

Congrats on the promotion cosmo

I don't think they asked me about marital status at my booking in appointment, just if I'd experienced domestic violence! Hmm
