This one seems to be the winner, and I can't seem to come up with anything more inventive, sorry!

LadyTophamHatt · 03/01/2007 19:06

wilkie....apparnetly it's more effective orally.
digested through the stomach IYSWIM.

You're start raving bonkers to be even concidering it(let alone actually doing it!!) so I thought this little snippet of info might be useful to you.

And if my DH thinks I'm doing that he's got another thing coming....I will cut the bloody thing off if the thought even enters his head.
It's that thing that got me in this state in tne first place....I don't think I'll ever be able to touch it again without recoiling in utter terror.

Christ..I just remembered....He had the cheek to say "Do you think you'll ever want sex aagin?" the other day.

He really has NO idea, does he??

Daisypops · 03/01/2007 19:08

ROFL at the last 3 posts! LTH you seriously crack me up.

Science project!!! LMAO! Head first into the fire place! Eeek!

The other day I was in the bath and DP just stood there and looked at me. The look on his face was shall we say disgust! don't think he meant it but y'know when you can just see it!

I can't wait to be slim, sexy and have sex again. I hope I don't stay off sex

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 19:09

Bleurgh - NO WAY - I don't do that when I am not pregnant so there is no way on this earth I am swallowing the stuff??!!!!!! Nasty Nasty Nasty

As for your DH, he needs some 'quality time' in the bathroom on his own and leave you alone!!!!!!

Hope you are OK after your fall xxxx

I take it nothing more happened after your attempted sweep?

LadyTophamHatt · 03/01/2007 19:10

Ohhh god Hattie, theres no way he hasn't sorted himself out.
yes, of course he has.

he just wants me to do it for him too!!!

Not.A.Chance.In.Hell.Boyo!

TinsellyRhino · 03/01/2007 19:10

my dh came home fomr the pub on xmas eve rolling drunk and said " I really love you even though you've let your self go"

bastard, but I'll let him off cause I do look awful and he was too drunk to remember not to say it lol

Daisypops · 03/01/2007 19:12

LTH-I tried it that way but getting up when I'd finished was a bit of a nightmare, DP had to pull me up, which kind of spolit the moment I think! TMI soz! LMAO!

DP has said he wants the snip after bub is here dont think he can cope with me shutting up shop for so long again!

LadyTophamHatt · 03/01/2007 19:17

I'm glad you said that wilkie. I was beginning to worry about you

Theres desparate for labour to start and theres desparate for labour to start

If it get to June 2008 and I haven't had the baby then I might concider the oral method...otherwise I'd rather suffer.

Nothing much has happened with the sweep, had some blood streaked discharge stuff and lots of painful BH's but nothing else.

elliepmummy · 03/01/2007 19:45

I have just logged on from doing dinner, bath bedtime etc and pissed myself at the last few hours posts!! My DH is is the same situation as many of yours as thats the last thing on my mind!

Did dd bedtime felt quite sad that was the last time it'll just be her, read an extra story gave an extra hug and even sat in her room for 5 minutes after she nodded off just looking at her, stupid really as most nights can't wait for her to go to sleep

Right ladies need your help we have a real dilema with naming this baby what are your thoughts on the following names

Jessica Alice (had from the beginning but go off it in phases)

Charlotte Alice (thought off half way through pg was fairly convinced that this was the one now not sure)

Hattie Alice (dh found this in baby book tonight and really likes it and dd kept saying hattie to my bump)

Lexie Alice (dh likes this not sure myself)

Any other ideas our surname is Parks

Daisypops · 03/01/2007 19:52

I like Lexie Alice. Jessica Alice will have the initials JAP?

elliepmummy · 03/01/2007 19:55

Oh god hadnt thought about intials thanks for that Daisy (saying that none of the intials are fantastic JAP,CAP,HAP and LAP!!)

theUrbanDryad · 03/01/2007 20:53

evening all! well, there's still no baby here yet!! midwife did a sweep on me this adternoon, but nothing much been happening. was having contractions every 4 minutes while DH was out at my mum's picking our dinner up (isn't she awesome??) and was waiting for him to get back before phoning MW, then as soon as he came back they stopped. now very irregular, not at all painful, and all in all a right pain in the arse. MW says it's very common for first babies to do this, but because my waters have gone i'm booked in at the labour ward tomorrow morning at 9:30 so they can put me on a drip and get things going.

argh! why won't this flipping baby come out????

Debbsyandson · 03/01/2007 20:54

love your title lol never a truer word spoken lol again

Tillypup · 03/01/2007 21:28

I'm delighted to announce that at 5.30 this morning my little baby girl arrived in this world, at 39weeks exactly.

My waters broke last night at 8pm whilst at my sister's house watching a recording of The Vicar of Dibley. I went up to the hospital to see one of the midwives who confirmed that it was indeed my waters rather than me peeing myself I had a quick scan which confirmed the baby had moved a long way down the pelvis and was then sent home with an appointment made for 8am Thursday morning. Contractions started coming whilst on the way home (but I was told to expect this)whitlst at home the contractions got stronger and more regular until at around 2.30am i decided that perhaps it was time to go back to the hospital! By this point they were coming every two mins! got to the hospital and things died down a little, I think the midwife was preparing to send me home until she did an internal exame and discovered that I was fully dilated! The contractions then slowed down to around once every 4 mins but were getting bloody strong and painful. I had some gas and air for a while but the midwife took that off me as I was concentrating on breathing that in rather than pushing! Then she got me to stand up and push, very dignified! After a while I had to lie down for a bit, 3 or 4 more contractions later the head "popped" out but because my contractions were coming quite slowly they got me to push the rest of the baby out before the next one came along. The last couple of contractions/pushes were agony, but the midwife kindly pointed out that there was no going back so I just had to persevere! I only swore once (though did moan rather a lot!)and it was all over within 2 1/2 hours.

The baby weighs 7lbs 6oz and we are calling her Isabella Elizabeth (after a nan) Vary (old family name).

we got sent home from hospital at 1pm as they were so busy on the maternity ward and we've all been chilling out/sleeping ever since. Now off to bed with a lovely house brick of a maternity pad between my legs!

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 21:33

CONGRATULATIONS Tillypup - you make it sound so easy. Love the name too.

Urban - bless you, that Bubba is obviously too comfy!!!

EPM - LOVE the name Charlotte Alice

Right, am off for a bath, nipple tweak and some sleep.

xx

annieapple7 · 03/01/2007 22:06

Congratulations Tillypup - you lucky thing! Love the name too. Congrats to RGee too - with my EDD on 28 Jan it will be just me and TinsellyRhino left, with the rest of you mums clutching your newborns off on some post natal thread!
Elliepmummy - I like Charlotte and Jessica - do initials matter unless they spell something like PIG or BUM?
LOL at the posts about sex (or lack of) luckily my DH isn't keen on any action either, I can't think why!

Wilkie - are you mad?!
I couldnt physically fit my DP in down there (if you read this darling that is NOT what I mean)
There is too much baby stuff going on down there to accomodate any man bits.

I have been told by 3 people now, not to let DP go down that end during labour/birth to have a look, as it may put them off ever going near you again. Does anyone else have any experienence of this?

Tilly - Congratulations! - I want your labour! It sounds nice and quick! Scary about being home on the same day though. I guess its the norm now. We have been warned that Brighton often ask if you want to leave about 6 hours after the baby comes. OMG!

theUrbanDryad · 03/01/2007 22:59

i don't want to go into hospital at all!!!! i hope they send me home nice and quickly!

congrats tillypup - you make it sound so easy! blimey, we're popping out all over the place aren't we??

elliepmummy · 04/01/2007 06:03

Congratulations, Tilly, and another lovely name. dh and I still haven't got a girl's name we agree on. So who's going to start the post-natal thread??
Good luck today, UD and Nemo.
ds now got rotten cough, but at least dh has gone into work so I only have one to look after (though think dh hoping the boss'll take one look at him and send him home again, lol! But at least it means sex is the last thing on either of our minds!
Any word from Jodie?

suppose it's time to lose the festive name now.

theUrbanDryad · 04/01/2007 09:07

morning all - well things started to happen in the night! was getting contractions ever 4 mins at about 3 this morning, so called out the midwife who did an internal and said i was 3cm dilated! so i don't have to go into hospital! happy dryad!!

we got some sleep and i phoned my regular MW; she's coming over in about half an hour. feel a bit shaky and sick - is this the hormones? also feel a bit high, but think that's the rescue remedy!

anyway, hopefully we'll have some good news for you soon!

good luck to all of you going in/c-sections, can't remember who as head not really working properly.

Sorry to crash but just wanted to wish you all, especially Laughalot, a load of luck for this month, my DS2 is 4 weeks old today, and I am already trying to convince myself that we do have to wait a little while longer than 4 weeks for no.3!

Seriously Lota, you have been a great friend and great support all the way since we were all TTC, I really hope everything goes well and it happens soon for you hun, can't wait for your news, TC xxx

Good luck everyone
