This one seems to be the winner, and I can't seem to come up with anything more inventive, sorry!

Thanks for the binbag tip Wilkie - our bedroom is in the front of the house and it certainly can't look any worse than it does with scaffolding up! Hugs to all you girls who are suffering - it seems like time is slowing down towards the end, slower even then waiting to get to 12 weeks at the beginning!
I recommend a Cadbury's Caramel as a pick me up - I have just had one and feel much better!
I am supposed to be working (I work from home) but I simply cannot concentrate. All I want to do is clean (nesting??) but when I am not working I don't seem to want to clean then.

Lizzzombie · 03/01/2007 14:46

I'm loosing the plot.
The pampers website just made me cry.
Whats happening?!

Galmum · 03/01/2007 14:53

Can hardly keep up with all the talk! Very excited that more babies seem to be on their way or imminent. I'll be beside myself by Friday evening!

Have really hurt groin lifting my leg up to dry it after the shower! How pathetic does that sound. About to retreat to bed with a cup of tea and some treats - had enough of this but EDD not till 27th!!

Mumofmonsters - I'm not sure if I've got the wrong end of the stick, so sorry if I have, but remember another MN meintioning that she was thinking of you at xmas time. I got the impression that you had had a mc. Thanks for popping in to say hello and wish everyone the best - very kind and thoughtful - not an easy thing to do.

elliepmummy · 03/01/2007 15:22

Hi everyone appt at hospital went well had bloods, got antisickness tablets and all ready for friday. DH and I have to be in the ward between 6.30 and 7am and we are 3rd on the list so probably be nearer lunch time before she arrives! Midwife asked if we had a name for her yet for her wristbands but we are still undecided over jessica alice or charlotte alice and may randomly end up calling her something completley different so her wristbands now say Baby P***.

Can't believe its less than 48 hours to go am excited but also apprehensive over how its all going to work when we get home with Ellie. DH not bringing her in to see me and baby till saturday afternoon as I would have had all my drips removed and had a shower so look like mummy. Presents are all wrapped up from the baby but dd has just said she hopes baby gives her new teddy so ma have to emergency shop tomorrow!

MIL having dd from 3.30pm tomorrow so kinda upset its my last night with her as my only baby and shes poorly so feel extra guilty going to try and be extra patient for next 24 hours and lots of love and attention. Right better get to the doctors with her wish me luck as she hates drs and especially hates them looking in her ears think I'll have a very dd in a bit

Any updates from UD or Jodie??

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 16:25

Lizzz - thought it had been very quiet your end and convinced you had gone in to labour! I have had a day of crying today too (feel a bit daft), tried to do some sorting out of a few cupboards but found that kneeling gave me cramp and bending over is impossible as my bump is like a football stuffed up my top.

Have also had LOADS of tightenings today and am SICK TO DEATH of tyhinking 'Is this it??' when it blatently ends up not being.

Grrrrr - pissed off and mardy

RGee · 03/01/2007 16:35

Hi All!

Just a quick message to say Pippa Holly was born on New Year's Eve at 10.17pm, wieghing 6lb 15oz. An absolutely cutie!

Full gorey details to follow, but a quick taster - mild contractions early afternoon New Year's Eve, hospital at 7.30pm when 4-5cm dilated, pool and gas and air at 9pm, 9.5cm dilated at 9.45pm and still in pool so waters broken by midwife, toes appear out of fanjo at 9.50pm, all hell breaks loose at undiagnosed breech, came out of pool and to another room where consultant tried and failed to push foot and leg back up (all pain relief now removed by the way), wheeled to another room and put under.

Hope all well with you all, and good look with the forthcoming c-sections/births.

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 16:38

Congratulations RGee!!!! So pleased you have your little bundle if not extremely xxxxx

Hattie2 · 03/01/2007 16:46

Many congrats RGee!! All sounds a bit scary, I've never heard of undiagnosed breech. Hope all is going well, am extremely as you had same EDD as me, it's not fair

elliepmummy · 03/01/2007 17:15

Glad all went well if slightly traumatic look forward to seeing some pics when you can xx

freedomfighter · 03/01/2007 17:19

Congratulations rgee, hope you and baby recovering well...all sounded very mellow until the undiagnosed breech! again, congratulations

Lizzzombie · 03/01/2007 17:33

Congrats RGee - Holy f**k at no pain relief though!

Have just been sent this birth story by a mate of mine, whose bosses friend gave birth a couple of days ago:

It was her second and with the first she had had an epidural so she wasn't sure how regular/painful the contractions should be before she went to hospital. Anyway, waters broke and she was on her way there with
husband screaming down the phone to the hospital to get ready for her as the head was coming out whilst he was driving! When asked her how she knew the
baby's head was coming out - and she said because she could see the bulge in her leggings!!! She got to the hospital gates but it was too late and the husband had to go and get the ambulance men who were hanging around outside smoking to help. so, goes to show it can happen really quickly.

This story should scare everyone into packing their hospital bag if they havent already!

Lizzzombie · 03/01/2007 17:35

Wilkie - Wish I had gone into labour! I've been asleep most of the day. Bad night last night so I'm zonked out totally!

2HappyNewYear · 03/01/2007 18:01

Oh congratulations RGee, what a beautiful name, what a scary labour!!!!

I've just typed out a massive long rant about DH, but it's so ridiculous I've deleted it.

I thought he was rubbing my back this morning because I felt so rough, because I'd had such a shite night sleep, because I had back ache.....

Wrong!!

He wanted his end away.

I felt like cutting the bloody thing off with a blunt knife.
If I can survive without sex why can't he?? I really couldn't care less if he sorts himself out, infact I'd be glad that he did.

I just thought you selfish inconciderate bastard when I realised why he was being so nice.

Congratulations to all you ladies with new babies...but OMG I'm jealous. I fucking hate this PG lark.

Hattie2 · 03/01/2007 18:11

at that birth story Lizz - you're right, I really ought to go and pack my hosp bag!

Hattie2 · 03/01/2007 18:16

at your dh LTH, they really don't have a clue do they?

Like you, I am sooooo at everyone who has their baby already. Even though I'm near the top of the 'due' list I know I'm going to be near bloody bottom when the 'born' list is complete.

Daisypops · 03/01/2007 18:19

PMSL laughing LTH but and too!

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 18:43

Sorry LTH but I abslutely PMSL LMAO LOL at that story - MEN!!!!!!! Ha ha ha ha sorry but that was sooooo funny and typical.

I had nookie again last night in the hope that it brings labour on although TBH, I feel like getting him a cup and a turkey baster cos I'm not doing it for the pleasure, just his magic potion Told him this and he was most indignant!!!! Do they really think that at this size and stage we feel sexy???

Ohhhhh bless them all

TinsellyRhino · 03/01/2007 18:44

I'm the very last on the due list because I'm not actually due till 3rd of feb
will I be here all on my own whimpering about STILL being pg

Daisypops · 03/01/2007 18:51

Wilkie I do wish you wouldn't keep mentioning you having nookie, your making me feel like a a right meany. I will be embarassed when me and DP finally do it again. I don't think I could even face doing it just for his potion, infact I think I'd probably chunder! I'm with LTH on this one!

TR-can just picture it...you answering your own posts!!! We'll still be around, but not sure where we go? Is it the parenting topic?

LadyTophamHatt · 03/01/2007 18:54

I physically couldn't have sex now even if I wanted too TBH. My pelvis hurts so much.
Even turning over in bed has me wincing in pain.
OK so I could manually relieve him...but why the fuck should I?
He's got 2 perfectly capable hands himself and FFS he can see how miserable I am right now. The least he can do if suffer a teeny weeny bit of discomfort from having bollocks that ache because they haven't been empited.

and to make it worse I tripped over the babies carseat this morning when I was chasing ds3 out of my bedroom.
The little bugger has thrown a watch in temper and it had hit my on the head. I was so pissed off/anrgy/tired/in pain that I got us to chase him out and tripped.

It now feels like I've been hit with a sledgehammer down there because I had to move so awkwardly to stop myslf hitting the deck.

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 18:55

Daisypops - I probably shouldn't keep doing it because TBH I absolutely HATE it but I am so desperate to bring on labour I will try anything

I want to feel slim, sexy and attractive and ENJOY nookie again.

DH doesn't really want to do it - I asked him the other night if he still found me sexually attractive and he pondered for about a minute and then said....'Erm, probably more fascinating than sexy...' Well cheers, love you too!! What am I, a frigging science project?????

Hattie2 · 03/01/2007 19:00

oooh that sounds painful LTH, I did a similar thing this afternoon. Tripped over one of dd's toys and had to do a very awkward a painful move to stop myself going headfirst into the fireplace! Have managed to spend most of the afternoon on the sofa though so god knows what it's going to feel like when I try and get up.

Are you seriously saying that you're DH won't be 'emptying' himself anyway?! I thought most men did that as a matter of course anyway, regardless of whether or not they were getting satisfied any other way? That's what all my male friends have told me!

Hattie2 · 03/01/2007 19:04

Wilkie - 'fascinating' isn't bad you know

DH says to dd 'look at mummy's tummy, isn't it huuuuuge?'. 'Yes' replies dd (3.5) 'she's eaten too many mince pies'. I wonder who prompted her to say that??
