This one seems to be the winner, and I can't seem to come up with anything more inventive, sorry!

TinsellyRhino · 02/01/2007 22:41

sorry, really angry at the mo, with myself, I have obviously screwed her up so I'm feelinglike a complete failure and just soo tired I could and do regularly cry

Nemo2007 · 02/01/2007 22:42

TR hunny huge hugs..I have been feeling like that but it is the depression and stress. You will cope because I personally think baby being here is easier to deal with than being heavily pregnant. Just getting your body back is a god send.

TinsellyRhino · 02/01/2007 22:43

thats a good point nemo, it is exhausting and really weird to ne heavily pregnant. It would be nice to get its bum out from my ribs lol

Nemo2007 · 02/01/2007 22:47

e4xactly and you also get more sleep with a newborn rather than the anxious braxton hicks and discomfort of being 8mths pg. Honestly it will feel better when the baby is here. I am horrendous to be around for the last month or so of pregnancy..DH nearly wept with joy when we were given thurs as induction date..lol

TinsellyRhino · 02/01/2007 22:48

hmm I think dh would like to go and live in the shed, I think the fact there is no heating in it is stopping him lol

Nemo2007 · 02/01/2007 22:51

also if I remember rightly your DD2 is at that lovely age where they push all the wrong buttons[DD is just getting there] and testing boundaries which wont help. Dealing with toddlers while pg is horrible. Ds was just 2 when dd was born and I often wanted to string him up and at the min I have had visions of abandoning DD somewhere to stop the whiney clinginess...god I sell an attractive image of a mother to tots dont I

TinsellyRhino · 02/01/2007 22:52

yep nemo your right she is 20 months and soooooooooo doing the testing boundaries thing and asserting her independence and boy oh boy she really does know how to push my buttons

freedomfighter · 02/01/2007 23:03

TR, may also be that your DD is feeling bit anxious about another baby - i dont know how old she is but it may be her way of letting you know that she's still there and still needs you?

Shimmer - thanks for your comments, even more reassured, im due two days after you so ive finally met someone whos not engaged either and due same time ish as me! nothing was picked up on scans about placenta - ive just accepted now that maybe im going to go over due date and that may be one reason why head not engaged cos baby quite happy to stay inside!

freedomfighter · 02/01/2007 23:03

Oops TR just seen how old your DD is!

theUrbanDryad · 03/01/2007 07:12

morning all! well, no bundle of joy here yet - i've just woken up from the best night's sleep i've had in ages with a really sore back and sort of niggly pains though, so don't think it'll be long!! i'm so excited!! and more than a little apprehensive....

2HappyNewYear · 03/01/2007 08:35

Hope today goes well UD; any news from Jodie?
Just off to supermarket - now that's an activity my ds knows how to push my buttons during, TR, the regular tantrum at the checkout . dh got really bad man flu now, he was on call last night and was out from 9.30 until 6am, so I think he's calling in sick (or at least I presume he is since it's 8.34 and he's not up yet...) No doubt ds and I will catch it too, so I think I'd better lay off the pineapple/tea etc for now!

Morning!
Good luck for tomorrow morning Nemo - must be so relieving to know exactly when its going to all start.

I'm jealous re your sleep UD! I'm thinking of asking the Dr for some sleeping pills, I cant imagine how I'll have the energy to push this baby out otherwise!

Found out yesterday that both my sister & my mum had to have their waters broken during labour, and I've read this kind of thing is hereditory. Great. I'll give up trawling the isles at Tescos waiting for my waters to break so I can claim my free nappies!

elliepmummy · 03/01/2007 08:57

Morning just off to hospital for my pre op assesment ready for friday am hoping theyll still do the section as I have a stinking cold on antibiotics for an ear infection but they finish tomorrow so fingers crossed they dont rearrange it!

Got to take dd back to drs at 3.50 as took her to emergency dr on NYD as she has had a nasty chesty cough and cold for a week he says its sorting itself ut shes still coughing like mad and think she may need something to help shift it & on top of that she ha got conguntivitous (sp?) poor thing doesnt know what to do with herself.

Good luck UD and Jodie hope things progress for you today and all goes well tomorrow Nemo and hope you are ok LTH read your other thread about possible show from your attempted sweep?? Looks like we will have a few new babies to add to that list by the middle of next week yippeee!!!!

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 09:23

Morning all - record lie in 9:20am - lovely!!

Good luck UD and Jodie - thinking of you both.

2Happy - v impressed at early morning shopping!!! I am in dire need to a cuppa dn totally forgot to get milk yesterday so will have to trundle out in a second....honestly, anyone would think I was on maternity leave....!

Q for all you heavily pregnant ladies out there - does anyone else find that their bumps can be quite painful in the night? Mine ends up feeling really hard and bruised and turning over can be painful (even with a supportive cushion). Got a bit worried last night as it really did ache.

JodieG1 · 03/01/2007 11:54

Just updated on the thread on chat but basically waters went during the night and had it confirmed at the hospital today. Booked in for induction Friday morning if I haven't gone naturally by then! I hope I do because I'm terrifed of being induced and all the assocaiated risks.

muppet3 · 03/01/2007 12:27

EDD tomorrow but no sign of much except lots of lower vack ache and painful BHs Do you think it would be ok to push for a cervical sweep at tomorrow's 40 week appointment? Am going out of my mind and getting no sleep thanks to PUPP rash all over my body and there's nothing more the dermatologist can do until I've delivered ...

annieapple7 · 03/01/2007 12:27

Just caught up on this thread - good luck all you ladies who are about to pop...I am really envious! I can't wait to read about all these new babies!
My due date isn't until 28 Jan, and despite being 8 days early with DS2 I have a horrible feeling I am going to be late. I am waiting for my raspberry leaf capsules to arrive so I can get stuck in and get things "ripened"! I never drank the tea - ugh - capsules are the way to go! Luckily I love pineappple too, but 7 a day might be a bit much.
Although I shouldn't wish for an early birth really - last week discovered the chimney of our house needs to come down (damp in the baby's room where the chimney breast is) so I don't have anywhere to put baby yet anyway until it is sorted. I know the baby will sleep in Moses basket with me at night, but I was hoping to get the regular naps sorted in the day with the help of the blackout blind....the curtains in our bedroom are as thin as tissue paper!

wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 12:40

Annieapple - could try taping bin liners to the windows for nap time - very chav but cost effective

laughalot · 03/01/2007 12:45

Just thought id try and get my point across about wanting this baby, lol sorry dont know what happened

2HappyNewYear · 03/01/2007 13:04

Are you getting fed up, laughalot?!! Hope you feel better soon.
Good to hear from you, Jodie, fingers crossed everything gathers speed. My waters went with ds at 40+12, and went into labour naturally about 36hrs later.
Hope everything ok UD's end too.
Sorry to hear about your chimney probs, Annie, hope they get sorted.
muppet, your rash sounds like a good reason not to let you hang around for too long after your due date.
Nemo - all the best for tomorrow
EPM - hope your appt today went well, and all on course for friday.
Wilkie - do you mean it;s sore-tight like a BH or something different?
dh off sick, so am running around trying to keep him and ds happy - not sure who's the harder work

OP posts:
wilkie50 · 03/01/2007 13:35

2Happy - just feels tight and achey. When I hurl myself over in the night onto one side or the other, it feels like a balloon ready to burst. Like pressure I suppose.

Lizzzombie · 03/01/2007 14:26

wilkie - I just dont move in bed anymore. Its too much hassle to get the momentum up for turning over. I'd rather just be in an uncomfortable position, seeing as how that is what every single position I lie in is anyway!
ugh. I feel so shit today. I am so pleased its not long to go, I seriously don't understand how some women can actually enjoy this experience.
