H&m do those style vests!

bikingintherain · 20/03/2016 14:08

Good find jelly.

One thing I would say, is avoid clothes that button/popper at the back. They're a nightmare. There is a really cute Peter rabbit range at Mothercare now, but all the things I was looking for were fasten at the back. I was disappointed when I realised.

MollieRos · 20/03/2016 20:21

I think mine gets hiccups maybe once or twice a day, though often not at all during the day. They tend to be a couple of seconds apart and last about 5-10 mins. I have no idea what's normal though!

Pelvic floor exercises... has anyone found a good routine to follow that isn't on an app (I'm not very technological!)? At the moment the only time I regularly remember is while I'm drying my hair every morning which takes about 5 minutes, and I'm thinking I probably need to get a bit more on it to give myself the best chance of some bladder control later on!

I'm feeling very sorry for myself today as I've pulled a muscle in my back/shoulder which is making moving around very difficult. I'm sitting with a heat pack on it at the moment and going to have a bath later, but it's so painful! Annoying too as my DH and I have the day off work tomorrow to try and make some progress with the decorating, but I'm not going to be much help if it's still like this tomorrow.

Eastend2015 · 20/03/2016 20:38

You can download the squeezy app in the App Store if you have an iPhone but basically it reminds you to do 2 sets of exercises (one fast and one slow) 3 times a day. The slow ones, you do 10 lots of squeezing for 4-5 breaths then releasing for the same amount of time. The fast ones you squeeze then release straight away ten times.

Mindful for workwear, I am mostly wearing Seraphine jersey dresses smartened up with an open jacket (non maternity), heels (not sure how long for!) and some chunky jewellery or a scarf so I at least look like I have made an effort. I have a pair of Seraphine jeggings too but they are a little snug for work. Seraphine have a few shops in London or do free returns.

I have some mamalicious jeans bought second hand and a mamalicious coat from eBay I couldn't live without as it's keeping me very toasty. I have a few Seraphine ruched long sleeved tops too which are good all rounders but have gone a bit bobbly in the wash. I still wear a few of my normal clothes held up with safety pins!

Gym stuff just seems to have stretched with me but I've seen a few recommendations for fitta mama. Good luck!

LouLou030783 · 20/03/2016 21:28

Place marking again totally lost touch with this the past few weeks

MindfulBear · 21/03/2016 02:36

jelly excellent!! Thanks. Such a good find. Am going to order some!!

MindfulBear · 21/03/2016 02:43

Thanks eastend. I think I will go to seraphine in town and see what I can find.

I usually wear lk Bennett tailored dresses and as I lost loads of weight last year I was still wearing the 16s & 18s from my wardrobe. However my boss told me she ruined some clothes by wearing them whilst pregnant as they stretched in odd places and never went back to their original shape... Lk Bennett is too expensive to replace if that happens so I have retired them for now - who knows what size I will be by the time I return to work, I might need those!

Only just retired a pair of coast trousers as they were great all day but getting a bit snug by the time I had to catch the train home. Not the most comfortable time of day at all.

Gym gear is stretching at the moment but playing tennis the other night I was a little concerned my trousers might roll down Blush
Last time I had a great pair of trousers that I used for gym, Pilates, etc that had a roll down band which meant they felt snug and secure from mid pregnancy all the way to the end. They might have been pineapple but from tk maxx.

Insomnia.... Anyone else suffering? Have been fine all the way through until this last week. It's a killer.
DH is snoring and now the birds have started tweeting..... Aggghhhhhhh

JellyBaby26 · 21/03/2016 02:57

I'm suffering from dd related insomnia. Suddenly started waking in the night which is hard work!

MindfulBear · 21/03/2016 03:36

Oh no jelly. How old is DD?
If only our almost 4yo DS did wake up.... Then he might not wet the bed so often!!!

17caterpillars1mouse · 21/03/2016 03:56

Not insomnia but I work from 4am - 9am so get up at 2:50 every morning and feel your pain! Always makes me so sickly, especially as its a physics job :( 4 weeks left!

17caterpillars1mouse · 21/03/2016 03:57

Physical

JellyBaby26 · 21/03/2016 07:27

mindful she's nearly 10 months. She seems to have gone from a heavy to light sleeper these past few nights. She has stared new medication so I think it's that.

I have to bring her into our bed and we just have a standard double so it's a bit cramped. Have woken up this morning and my hips are so painful. Everything I moved she woke up so I was in a fixed position 😐

Eastend2015 · 21/03/2016 08:55

Sorry to hear people are having trouble sleeping- I am sleeping like a log lol! It's DH who is suffering though as apparently I snore and am taking up much more room!

Mindful yes LK Bennet and lovely but rather slim fitting!

MadrigalElectromotive · 21/03/2016 09:39

My sleep has been terrible throughout pregnancy - I go off with no problems, but I wake up really early and can't drop off again. Really annoying! Angry Much sympathy to the other non-sleepers.

I have reached the 30 week mark today - it is all starting to feel very real, and like there isn't that much time left. I'm also finding the weeks are ticking by more quickly now, which is good, but also makes me feel a bit panicked about getting everything ready in time - I've still bought barely anything! Confused

nehagarg · 21/03/2016 10:20

30 weeks today too! Time is going by quickly now. Though I am sure it'll begin to slow down as I get more and more uncomfortable.

Anyone know where I can buy mattress protectors for the chicco from? Tried mothercare, they didnt seem to have any. Nearest I can find is on Amazon for £14.95.

MadrigalElectromotive · 21/03/2016 11:06

Yes, I keep thinking it'll slow down again so I'm trying to make the most of it while they whizz by! Smile

JellyBaby26 · 21/03/2016 11:30

Nehagarg I don't use one as it's wipe clean. I wasn't aware you could get them....whoops 🙈

MollieRos · 21/03/2016 13:34

I'm 30 weeks tomorrow and I'm also feeling like suddenly there's no time left! I keep thinking too that we've been working on an assumption of 40 weeks, but actually if he's early then we won't have as much time. There just seems like so much to do before the baby gets here!

Belleboo23 · 21/03/2016 14:29

I'm 27 weeks tomorrow so bit behind the rest of you, don't want to scare you but at 30 weeks last time I was blissfully unaware that dd would be with me 4 weeks later!!

nehagarg · 21/03/2016 14:44

yep, that hit me like a pile of bricks this morning too belleboo ... Got my hospital bag list ready because of the panic and going to start packing over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks Jellybaby .. Wasnt aware that the mattress is wipe clean. I have waterproof sheets too but last thing I want is a mess in the middle of the night so trying to be over-prepared Grin

DH arrived home today after being in the UK for the last 5 days. He has brought a lot of baby stuff with him, so now I have to work out what we have and haven't got anymore. The flat looks like someone just barfed baby stuff all over the place. But overall I'm pleased we can start to get a little more organised.

Belleboo23 · 21/03/2016 15:08

Think I'm going to get my hospital bag sorted by 31 weeks I have my scan on my cervix just before then which will tell them if my cervix has thinned and if another early birth is on the cards! Really don't know when to finish work at the minute and need to finish my forms off
