\aaah .. loads of right hand lovers here. Smile ...

Jelly dont have leaky boobs yet but did feel hiccups a couple of days ago. They were very light rhythmic taps which went on for a minute or so. I am assuming those were hiccups because his kicks are much stronger and have no pattern whatsoever.

We also have a wedding this summer - it's our first wedding invitation in about 6 years and is when I'm 8 months pregnant!

JellyBaby26 · 03/03/2016 15:23

cautious beware of people touching your bump at said wedding. Especially as folk get more and more intoxicated!

You may not mind it though I suppose, personally I hate it !

cautiousoptimist1 · 03/03/2016 15:29

Oh yes jelly I hadn't thought of that! Might need a big do not touch badge to go with the maternity dress and flat shoes!

Mrspopper · 03/03/2016 17:06

Pot I still don't know. Bed nest, snooze pod or chicco. We have a sleepyhead that was great before. Decisions decisions!!

MollieRos · 03/03/2016 17:46

Thank you for the pram recommendations, I'll have to do some research!

homeboddy it's a lovely feeling Smile

nehagarg I've had that too occasionally, as you say I think it's just the baby in an uncomfy position. Braxton hicks as I've experienced them is different- all-over tightening of your bump for about 30 seconds, and it all goes very hard and round. My baby's also a fan of the right hand side- he's been kind of diagonal for a while now, head down towards the left (so he can easily headbutt my cervix Hmm ) and feet up by the right side of my ribs. At least that's what both the midwives who've seen me recently have said... I have no idea how they would know which end is which!!

jelly I started with leaky boobs the other day and the baby's had hiccups a few times. It's such a strange sensation, like a muscle tic- rhythmical and goes on for a while. At least, I'm assuming it's hiccups!!

Belleboo23 · 03/03/2016 19:54

Ive felt hiccups recently didnt last long but was a definite pattern rather than just a boot in the cervix/bladder!!

Anyone heard of these summer infant slumber buddies it looks really nice and found a good offer, seem to think people were talking about something similar?

jellybelly85 · 03/03/2016 19:56

My baby seems to be a lefty! Well that's the side I'm feeling the kicks most often. Also heard and felt the baby hiccupping yesterday at MW appointment (25 wks) over the monitor - very weird. Still finding it hard to distinguish different feelings as different movements though.

nehagarg · 03/03/2016 20:28

Thanks Mollie. I have no idea of braxton hicks so far. My tummy goes tight when I walk but that lasts the duration of the walk, not just 30 seconds. I think it might have been a combo of baby in bad position and the tight jeans. In pyjamas now and feeling much better though not 100%

Nehagarg I've had similar when I wore tighter bottoms I think it could be baby having a mini protest! I've noticed she does it if I get in to certain positions aswell or when id been crouched down a while picking up toys

bikingintherain · 03/03/2016 22:20

I'm sure in my pregnancies I must have experienced the hiccoughing

bikingintherain · 03/03/2016 22:24

... Didn't finish that let me try again.

I'm sure I'm must have felt the baby hiccoughing (sp?!) baby but never could distinguish it. I couldn't even work out what a bottom or head felt like!

I have my glucose test tomorrow, urggghhh. And it did not get off to a good start this evening as I lost my notes with all the paperwork I needed and the address if the place. After an hour and a half DH found they had fallen down the back of a cupboard. But at least I know where to go now and the fasting isn't for nothing!

nehagarg · 04/03/2016 07:23

Good luck with the GTT today biking. Smile

belle definitely feels like it. I can feel bubbles at the waist line when I wear my maternity jeans which I dont feel otherwise. Sounds like a protest to me. I'll try and stick to looser bottoms

Thanks nehagarg. It's not so bad, the first 45 minutes I read the Jamie Oliver magazine in Dutch so feel somewhat virtuous in my language learning.

But am now resorting to watching the BBC pride and prejudice that I downloaded onto the iPad.

nehagarg · 04/03/2016 10:45

Good that you have a few things to do. The 2 hour wait can get really boring. The uncomfortable chairs dont help. I was wishig for a sofa the whole time.

Found this really interesting article on fetal position, belly shape and how it influences labour.

Thanks for posting Nehagarg! Even yesterday, my bump felt big and round as if bubs was about to break through and I felt less movement but today it is much flatter and high up with a dip by my belly button.

Eastend - the reason I went looking was because my bump looked a bit different today. Quite fascinating info in that article.

Havent had the baby move much today. Had a couple of lazy wriggles at around 7 AM and almost nothing since. He is usually quite active during the day.

Tried sitting in the sun (he always moves) and playing music that I know gets him moving. Had some cold juice and chocolate 30 min ago and lay down on my left. So far, nothing substantial. Wondering how much longer to leave it before calling hospital?

laughingGnomette · 04/03/2016 14:07

nehagarg - I'm sure everything's absolutely fine but do call for advice. Baby may well be in a position where you may not feel movement so much but it can't hurt to double check. Xx

nehagarg · 04/03/2016 15:16

Thanks laughing. Hospital has asked me to come in. Its most probably nothing. My belly looks a little dofferent today so its most probably just the baby having changed position and having a lie-in but wont forgive myself if I dont get it checked out. On my way in now.

GrubbyWindows · 04/03/2016 15:29

Good luck nehagarg! I'm sure you are right, and the hospital is being super cautious- and you will shortly be happily reassured. Thinking of you!!!

Eastend2015 · 04/03/2016 15:32

Good luck, fingers crossed!

emma85x · 04/03/2016 17:16

How did you get on nehagarg you absolutely did the right thing going to get seen. Let us know how you both are.

Jellybelly Thank you for the discount code. I'll definitely use it, I really regret not getting one at the Baby Show!

MollieRos · 04/03/2016 17:37

Hope it went ok nehagarg, I'm sure all was fine but definitely best to get checked out. That article is really interesting. My bump is reasonably well-rounded, though it's kind of flat at the top above my belly button (my bump is almost like a wedge shape, with the fat end of the wedge at the bottom!). Wonder what that means!

nehagarg · 04/03/2016 17:45

Thanks everyone. Hooked up to the monitors right now. Baby went crazy a few minutes after they were put on and kept trying to kick them off. Then he rolled around and now I think the monitor is only picking up my heartbeat because baby has settled in another corner.

So far so good.

Tha said, sounds like someone is giving birth in the cubicle next to me. Since this is triage, its scary to have to listen to the poor woman as the baby is probably very early.
