Those that went to the baby show... What sort of discounts did you get? There's one near me in April. We need a few things... Bedside/small crib, cheeky wipes and another couple of things. I just don't know if it's worth going or not! As it's second baby we don't need much but if the savings are really good...
I went to pregnancy aqua aerobics last night, really enjoyed and might swim tonight as feel ok at moment and have done virtually noting previously as been feeling so shite in pregnancy.

jbiscuits · 02/03/2016 18:24

laughing I agree about the boots bag. Ours is still going strong 20 months on, and the only reason I'm thinking of replacing it is because I'm bored with it. It's not huge compared to some bags, but I've never found it too small. If you just want a basic black bag, I'd definitely look into if they still do it.

MollieRos · 02/03/2016 19:18

strawberry I think you said you'd found a pram that fits in your small boot? What did you get? My friend was going to pass hers on to us (or whatever you call them- travel systems? one with a chassis, car seat, pram etc) but I've tried it out this evening and it won't fit in either mine or my DH's tiny cars, aargh!! I'm so disappointed, I'd hoped to avoid having to go pram shopping!

Or does anyone else have any recommendations for prams for tiny car boots? We have a corsa, which isn't exactly generous on boot space.

jellybelly85 · 02/03/2016 19:21

Urgh, is anyone feeling really rubbish all of a sudden again? I had to take 7 weeks off work during my first trimester due to ridiculous nausea. For the past couple of months I've been really productive at work and aside from the odd spontaneous burst of sickness, have been ok. But this past week I feel like the nausea is coming back again... ergh, not sure I can deal with going to work tomorrow :-(

Belleboo23 · 02/03/2016 19:36

Jelly i felt so sick this morning was sure I would throw up but thankfully it passed. Its definitely worse if I don't get enough sleep so having a very early night tonight!
Can't remember who had the icandy peach but do moses baskets fitted sheets fit the carrycot I want to get all the bedding sorted this weekend.
Had a scary thought today I'm exactly 10 weeks away from the point my dd was born, just hoping I bake this one longer. Guess I'll find out in 6 weeks if it's looking likely again!

strawberrypenguin · 02/03/2016 20:06

mollie yep, found one! It's the Graco Evo Mini stroller.
www.mothercare.com/Graco-Evo-Mini-Stroller--Harlequin/690141,default,pd.html&q=Graco%20Evo%20mini&loadMoreCurrentStatus=1&returnCgid=&returnSrule=null&start=&returnScrollPos=0
We had a Graco travel system with DS1 and it was great (just too big for my car now!) so I'm hoping this one will be the same! Really easy one handed collapse too. I've got a Suzuki Alto so a very small boot (do need to take the parcel shelf out to get buggy in) so I don't think you'd have any problems with it in a Corsa.

MollieRos · 02/03/2016 20:24

strawberry brilliant, thank you! I'll have a look at it.

jellybelly oh no, sorry you're feeling sick again. Maybe it's just a little blip rather than nausea properly settling back in again. Fingers crossed.

nehagarg · 02/03/2016 20:44

Mollie try the armadillo flip or flip xt as well. We got it because of its tiny fold so we could fit it under our bed. Should fit a corsa.

mollie I have several friends who love their baby zen yoyo- it folds down to Ryanair carry on size, so should fit in most boots!
My MacLaren quest fitted the tiny boot of my mum's panda, but wore out so I wouldn't recommend it that much.
jellybean I have just started Aqua aerobics and some fairly intense small group Pilates. I hadn't done anything up to a few weeks ago, and was feeling so physically knackered, I reckon I need to take some action if I am going to be in any shape to make it through labour!! I walk a lot generally, but it's getting so knackering!

bikingintherain · 02/03/2016 21:35

belleboo I think it was me who said I had the icandy peach. But I was having a baby brain moment, I have the icandy cherry! I'm sure it's pretty similar, I always used a Moses basket sheet on mine for the carry it if that's any help!

Homeboddy49 · 02/03/2016 21:37

Felt the baby kick for the first time yesterday morning. Not a super strong one but enough for DH to feel it. Movements are getting much stronger now which I'm so pleased about (23+3)

Belleboo23 · 03/03/2016 07:09

Thanks biking I'm sure they be ok need to ask in mothercare which are best for the next to me bed I'm not paying chiccos prices!

iamdivergent · 03/03/2016 07:48

We have a Graco Blox - got it for £99.99 including the car seat in a fab sale at Toys R Us. The stroller itself is on sale there atm but don't know if you still get the car seat free. It's a bit basic but we'll probably move onto a MacLaren at about a year old.

Grapefruitforever · 03/03/2016 07:54

Great news homeboddy - same for me the last few days 😀

nehagarg · 03/03/2016 13:05

Quick one ... Is it normal to have a dull back and lower tummy ache at this point? I am 27+3 now and feels like my period is due to start any minute (I really thought I had a break from this feeling) ... Its not painful really. More of a dull ache in my back and right under my bump. Braxton hicks? Isnt going away though.

Sorry, first timer so I question every niggle Smile

Oww! PGP has really kicked in today and I'm walking like a cowboy. I'll raise it with my MW.

homeboddy - great news!

mrspopper - with regards to the baby show, unless you are buying some big ticket items or lots of smaller things, I don't think the savings are outweighed much by the price of the baby show ticket to be honest (unless you get a free or heavily discounted ticket).

GrubbyWindows · 03/03/2016 13:22

nehagarg I get that every so often, and just assumed it is the baby getting herself into a particularly unhelpful position for a while (which can be weeks, or was with DS at one point. I could barely walk, until he thankfully found a new place for his head!)
But if you are worried mention it- you might be able to get a physio referral if it's been going on for a while, even if it's nothing sinister.

nehagarg · 03/03/2016 13:28

Thanks Grubby ... Its only started this morning. Could also be down to the tight maternity jeans I have on and the fact that I haven't had time to leave my desk today. Will go for a walk now and see I can get bubs to move. He seems to love hanging out on the right side of my uterus. Loving the pgp I am getting as a result (NOT).

I'll keep an eye on it. Its just a dull ache at this point. More a nuisance than anything else

mrspopper .. I agree with laughing. I found great deals elsewhere. The baby show wouldn't give anything less than 20%. Handy if you are planning to buy lots of little things though. Was particularly useful for me as a first timer since I go to see everything in one place. But that's not an advantage for you, I suppose.

laughingGnomette · 03/03/2016 13:43

nehagarg - another right hand side dweller here too! It's amazing how far around the kicks and movements reach.

Mrspopper · 03/03/2016 13:44

Thanks for the responses. You've helped made my mind up not to go. Am picking up bits as I see them on offer so should be ok. Don't think I'd be able to handle to crowds whilst very pregnant!

laughingGnomette · 03/03/2016 13:55

It's mid May isn't it mrspopper? I think it might be hell on earth to go whilst so heavily pregnant! Out your feet up instead SmileCake

laughingGnomette · 03/03/2016 13:57

*PUT your feet up instead!

Eastend2015 · 03/03/2016 14:22

Yep bubs is hanging out on my right side too after being on the left for most of the time til now. Also been feeling like I have a bruise on the right side of my lady bits, almost on my knicker line which is weird...

JellyBaby26 · 03/03/2016 15:05

Finally used the cross trainer this morning. Apparently did 5k in 20 mins. Not sure I believe it but it felt good to do some exercise for once! Going to try every day/every other day from now til the end. Have a wedding in October and and I don't want to look like a chubby mummy!!

My baby seems to love my right hand side and likes to stick something ( praying it's not a head) into my ribs when I slouch.

Has anyone experienced hiccups or leaky boobs yet?

Potkettleblack2 · 03/03/2016 15:10

Mrs Popper what are you looking for? I've decided to get a chicco next to me, even though the Moses basket and cot worked well last time-but we've moved house since and our room is smaller so I'm not sure a cot will fit in.

Jelly you have given me a kick to move-I'm bridesmaid at the end of August and I really really really want to look good for it! Time to get moving!
