So sorry Grumpel it's a truly heartbreaking thing to go through Flowers.

missybct · 04/03/2016 17:36

Oh Grumple, I'm sorry. Much love to you and yours Flowers xxx

Tomkat79 · 04/03/2016 17:40

Well grumble that's just shit. I'm so so sorry xx

Tomkat79 · 04/03/2016 17:43

fuzzy so strange to read your post about your MC. As soon as I fell pregnant with the baby we lost I knew it wasn't right. I felt so wrong and when we MC at 8 weeks part of me was glad it was all over as well as being distraught. And like you say the next pregnancy was an anxious time but I didn't have the same sense of impending doom that I'd had previously, so I trusted that instinct and all was well with my DD.just goes to show how powerful an intuition can be.

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 17:45

Really interesting you were the same Tomkat. I am anxious again but in the same way I was last time which is really reassuring because I am able to trust (hopefully correctly) that feeling.

SimileMilly · 04/03/2016 17:46

So sorry to read your news grumple. Hope you have lots of RL support, be kind to yourself Flowers

fuzzy and tomkat I felt exactly the same with my MC. Struggling to relax this time but not the same sense of dread if that makes sense?

Has anyone else got lots of stretching like pains? I'm 9+5wks

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 04/03/2016 17:56

Sorry Grumple, horrid news Thanks

I seem to have dropped off the list again, can I please be added? Due 14th Oct with #2 x

Tomkat79 · 04/03/2016 17:58

Yes totally the same here! How bizarre!
Would hate for this to bite me on the arse tho Shock
But I will remain positive Smile

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 04/03/2016 18:40

So sorry grumple.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Lovely to see all the scans. I really want one but DH wants to wait to the 12 week scan, and given that the cheapest I can find around here is £99, and I have no reason to want one other than my own paranoia, I think we'll wait.

I'm 6+3 now, and have been dizzy and nauseous for a while, though nothing too bad, so I can't really complain. The most difficult thing for me is dealing with non-sleeping DS. His bed is being delivered tomorrow so we might have a difficult few nights ahead.

BigPigLittlePig · 04/03/2016 18:51

So sorry grumple Flowers

Someone mentioned aaages ago (I was being a lurker) about horrid taste in their mouth - pineapple chunks. Honestly. A revelation folks.

Schnitzel we have had the WORST sleeper here for 3 years (she briefly slept in her own bed in jan, er hum Blush) so you have my sympathies. Mostly now we just bribe her. She's 3.3 so she gets that Grin

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 04/03/2016 19:55

Bigpig it's hard isn't it?! DS is 20 months, so a bit little for bribery yet. I'm hoping he's sleeping better when the new baby arrives - I'm not sure what I'd do with two awake at different times!

MyBreadIsEggy · 04/03/2016 20:02

So sorry to hear your bad news grumple Flowers

schnitzel I've looked around at private ultrasounds too, and the cheapest I can find is £99 and DH said no because I'm just being impatient!!

MrsMermaid · 04/03/2016 20:05

So sorry Grumple Sad

Feeling grey and exhausted today as per usual. Is anyone else experiencing aversions to almost all food? The only guaranteed safe foods for me are fruit and cereal. And to whoever mentioned the involuntary retching in a previous pregnancy, I totally have that! Retching but not actually being sick.

Saying all that... I feel really lucky and blessed to be feeling all of these symptoms.

leoniethelioness · 04/03/2016 20:23

Thinking of you, grumple. Look after yourself.

pod100 · 04/03/2016 20:33

So sorry to her that Grumple. Hope you are doing ok xx Flowers

BigPigLittlePig · 04/03/2016 21:36

Schnitzel I think just get a big big big bed. Chuck them all in together, you can sort of sprawl in the middle. Relegate dp to somewhere else. Sod rods for own backs and all that malarkey, most sleep for the most people was our motto and then bribe them when they're old enough

Afreshstartplease · 05/03/2016 08:38

Dd who is nearly three is usually a great sleeper

But then once a month or so she will have me up a few consecutive nights and it kills me

Literally

clank2 · 05/03/2016 08:56

Hurray, hit the 9 week mark....time is going so slowly. So yesterday I went to my GP as I had been feeling dizzy a lot, having palpitations and having trouble swallowing. I've had problems with my thyroid before so want to get it checked. She was terrible, didn't check my blood pressure, wouldn't do anything apart from tell me to get my blood tests done. She was going to get bloods done that midwife would do, but when she saw there was a questionnaire with it she said ' oh I can't be bothered to do that, the midwife can deal with it.'! So I will have to have another set of bloods done because she couldn't be bothered. It amazes me that when you see a GP they don't ask you anything about how you are, what you eat etc. She didn't check on my health regarding pregnancy or anything like that. Getting really cross now; oh, and it's 5 weeks since I filled in pregnancy form and I've still not been contacted re my booking in appointment... Has anyone else at 9 weeks not heard anything at all? On the plus side...yesterday.... No morning sickness, taste buds coming back and more energy...yay!

Afreshstartplease · 05/03/2016 09:00

8 weeks today and was sick earlier

Now just drained

I need to glow

Planeteer · 05/03/2016 09:27

Clank your message makes me so angry on your behalf!! Your gp sounds totally useless! Did you complain about her at the practice? I would have been tempted!

5 weeks is a long time to wait without hearing anything. I know each hospital is different but I'm 7+2 and have had my appt dates through. ( although I had to ring and change them as they'd sent me scan dates well outside the screening window. Sigh) Can you contact the midwife direct? Sounds like some gentle chasing may be in order in case you've slipped through the cracks. Hope you get some answers soon x

pinkbuttons · 05/03/2016 09:43

So sorry to hear your sad news grumple xx
Clank I have booking in appt tomorrow at 9+5, can you try and contact the midwife directly? I would probably chase up referral after 5 weeks though I know some places may just be slower.
Huge sympathy to those with night wakers! My Dd is 2.5 and has only just started sleeping through a few months ago (very good timing) came as a shock to me as DS who is 5 was always an amazing sleeper. Hope they decide to sleep before new babies arrive!
Lovely to hear that baby number just 3 fitted in fresh. :)
Still struggling with sickness here despite meds, I missed DS' Mother's Day tea party at school yesterday as couldn't stop being sick. My mum went instead which he loved but he came home asking where I was and that he'd been looking for me. Made me cry :(
I am so excited for this baby but really struggling with not managing my normal mummy duties, feel very guilty and overcompensating with treats most likely...

LisaTheGreek · 05/03/2016 09:45

Morning everyone, hope people are doing well

Grumple, I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you're going through. As others have said, be kind to yourself and give yourself time. Thanks

Clank - what a bloody joke your GP is! Definitely make a complaint if you can, that's just ridiculous.

I had my early scan last night. Was really scared but DH was good at distracting me. All fine, just one baby and we saw the heartbeat. Measuring just one day ahead of where I thought I was (9+3 today), so I won't change my dates for now.

Now just a few weeks to wait until the NHS scan at the end of March (when I'll be 13 weeks).

LillianFullStop · 05/03/2016 11:18

So sorry grumpel Flowers

evs34 · 05/03/2016 12:12

Happy weekend all! So good not to have to use my brain at all. Drinking fresh lemon, mint and ginger- going down a treat and really helping nausea! Early scan on thurs night was all good so feeling relieved. Xx

LisaTheGreek · 05/03/2016 12:16

Great news on the scan, evs!
