I saw a girl coming out of tesco with a baguette as I was on my way to buy lunch so of course I bought the sandwich I wanted, a baguette and a tub of butter. I didn't look pregnant before but I sure do now.

Our hospital doesn't allow children to attend scans so hoping ours is in the day time

Ours doesn't seem to care figgy - it looks like something from a third world country complete with cobwebs, duct tape holding things together and bin bags in middle of corridors

Esj I have exactly the same feeling and on what I refer to as constant knicker watch. Just in case it is anything more than discharge, I am wearing light coloured underwear as well. But it is perfectly normal. I also think you get an increased blood flow down there which causes a bit of achiness. Again, it really doesn't sound like anything to worry about. That said, I am totally incapable of listening to my own advice and worry about everything so it is understandable if you are as well. Is this your first?

I suffered from The Rage as I call it last pregnancy Missy but it sounds like you have a really justifiable reason so not surprised by how you feel.

My last hospital used to say children couldn't attend scans but lots of them appeared to based on the waiting rooms. I will have to take my DC to the booking appointment and probably to the scans as well, but she is 9 months old so won't understand. Having gone through a mmc that was picked up at my scan, I wouldn't take her if she was old enough to realise.

Hi fuzzyowl- yes it is my first - totally unplanned (polysistic overys and on the pill) but am over the moon and DP is coming round to the idea :-) The main problem I am finding is that I don't have either parent and therefore can't ask stupid questions and get reassurance

Glad that you are also on constant knicker watch too - think I just totally paranoid now on run up to scan #2 on Tuesday DP says it all got to be ok coz I wouldn't be feeling this sick, irritable and have ever increasing boobs if there was something wrong ... Hope he right

Feel free to ask me any questions, no matter how silly you think they are Esjaye. My first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage which was only found out at the scan and whilst some women do continue to have symptoms, I had very few at the time of the scan but I did have an absolute feeling of certainty that something was wrong. With my second pregnancy, I was terrified and also had few symptoms or mild ones that would come and go but despite all the constant anxiety, I didn't have that same certainty. I can't really put my finger on it but worrying is normal and your symptoms sound like you have high levels of hormone which is really good and it indicates a successful pregnancy. Thanks fuzzyowl I think it just knocked me for six when at my early scan two weeks ago they could only see a yolk and sac not the heart beat I was expecting in line with my dates so they decided my dates were two weeks out and now nothing feeling certain anymore

I see and completely understandable. Are you going back for another scan?

I'm sorry, you already said you were going back! I am really not with it. Hopefully everything on Tuesday will be fine. You do sound like you have lots of good symptoms and I know I always ovulate at least a week later than normal.
