Brindler I went dairy free with DD1 - be aware it takes 6 weeks to clear your system. I'd suggest going to the GP earlier therefore. Gaviscon was the wonder drug for us and it meant DD started putting weight on rather than just puking everything up. She went from the 75th percentile to the 11th until gaviscon meant she started maintaining and then putting on weight.

LastOneDancing · 03/04/2016 09:05

Oh Fraggle, your DD is gorgeous!
Many congratulations Sunny! Sorry they're a bit late - life is busy here!

Any progress on yesterday's contractions Shirking?

Fraggleyourock · 03/04/2016 11:22

thank you all so much! I'm quite smitten Smile
Sorry to hear things are a little difficult for you at the moment brindler! Silent reflux and tonsillitis don't sound like a fun combination to me! I hope you are all loving your slightly larger families and that you're fitting nicely into a routine! Thinking of you shirking!

Shirkingfromhome · 03/04/2016 11:56

Flowers brindler - that sounds tough. I have no experience of reflux so can only hope things improve for you soon.

Nope - absolutely nothing! Really hope baby is this chilled when he finally makes an appearance Wink

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Sounds to me like you have provided the perfect incubator in there, he's too cosy to want to leave!

Shirkingfromhome · 05/04/2016 13:57

Still no baby. On the plus side this one will probably be starting school by the time he does arrive so I get to skip the teething and colic!

How are you getting on brindler ? Hope the tonsilitus has cleared up and baby brindler is responding well to being dairy free.

Hope everyone else is ok? Cake and Brew for us all.

Brindler · 05/04/2016 20:47

Oh Shirking! I just checked on to see if there was any news from you! When is/was your due date again? Do you have a date for induction??

Dairy free doesn't seem to be having much effect here (other than keeping me from finishing off dd's Easter eggs!). The little man just doesn't seem to be very happy unless he's being held and he has now caught the sniffles too. We've got a docs appt for Monday though, going to try and get him on some gaviscon although have been reading that can cause severe constipation so could just be swapping one problem for another!

Fraggleyourock · 06/04/2016 08:33

Oh brindler, I'm sorry to hear that! I hope the dr has some answers and some helpful advice for you!
Shirking, is it today you're being induced?

Shirkingfromhome · 07/04/2016 00:02

He's finally here! Managed to have him this morning before I was induced. 7lb 13, quick labour no time for the pool but not in the car park either! No stitches and home by lunch time.

Trying to breastfeed but will have to get his latch sorted. And he's already peed everywhere (forgot you have to be quick with the nappy)!

How's everyone else?

Fraggleyourock · 07/04/2016 09:29

Yay!!!! Congratulations shirking!!! So thrilled for you! And chuffed that he decided to come before the induction! Well done! A great weight too! Thanks

Brindler · 07/04/2016 12:15

EXCELLENT NEWS!! Huge congratulations Shirking!! So happy for you (and very envious of your stitch-free birth!). Ahh that's really brightened my day!

So that's a full house then! We should keep this thread going otherwise I'll miss you guys!

SunnyL · 07/04/2016 14:01

Oh fantastic Shirking - I've been checking back but didn't want to ask you how it was going. And yay to no stitches! Hope you guys are settling in well with your expanded family. Is there a name??

Shirkingfromhome · 07/04/2016 16:47

Thank you! Was starting to doubt there was anything in there. I had loads of stitches with ds so I think he cleared the path for this one!

Still deciding struggling on a name. We know lots of boys too so it's making our task impossible.

Agree Brindler would be nice to keep the thread going.

I would also like to keep the thread going! I luckily escaped stitched with both of mine (only just with this one), but I did have quite little babies, I don't know if that actually makes any difference though Grin

Fraggleyourock · 09/04/2016 16:32

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

LastOneDancing · 09/04/2016 21:30

Congratulations shirking! Sounds like a fab birth!

I can't believe my Leo is already a month old - he's changed loads already. I had sworn this was my fail complete but I can already feel a little twinge of 'just one more...?' starting.

LastOneDancing · 09/04/2016 21:30

*family

Fraggleyourock · 09/04/2016 22:15

I know how you feel LOD, I definitely want another haha, no question about it... Not yet though, don't want another 11 month age gap to contend with!

SunnyL · 10/04/2016 10:26

Oh my - the thought of another one is definitely not on my agenda. Actually the thought of doing what it takes to make a baby is definitely not on the cards yet Shock

DH has already started looking into the snip. I know I'll shed a tear when he goes for it but it's not that I want another child. Just that it seems so definate.

Brindler · 10/04/2016 11:16

Hi everyone! Hope you're recovering well Shirking. I know what you mean about names, took us days to decide and then we practically let dd decide anyway! I was too tired to argue at the time!

I'm also brooding for another already! Feel quite sad that I'll probably never have another one. But in a 2 bedroom house with 2 children already and not much prospect of moving in the foreseeable future it's probably not such a great idea!

Shirkingfromhome · 11/04/2016 10:33

Hello everyone. Hope you're all well? I feel great, it's very bizarre I keep forgetting I had a baby less than a week ago. Microshirking is so tiny compared to minishirking; minishirks is like a giant when I'm getting him dressed.

Absolutely no more babies here; two vs two is just about manageable I think! I haven't broached the subject of the snip with DH yet but I think it's time he sacrificed something considering what's happened to my pelvic floor Grin

Brindler · 11/04/2016 21:38

Shirking that's so strange as I was only saying yesterday to my sister about big dd now seems since I've had ds! I keep looking at her wondering if she's had some humungous growth spurt or something!! Glad to hear you're doing well. Hope everyone else is too!

Fraggleyourock · 12/04/2016 11:40

I've said the same, went into hospital and ds seemed so small, came out and he looked suddenly enormous! Bless him

SunnyL · 13/04/2016 09:47

Well I cracked out the breast pump today in the hope that DH might be able to do one of the night feeds. Only the 2 year old has declared she also needs a breast pump otherwise how will she feed her dolly?

I've given her an old breast pump and now she's gone to Granny's house with it. Oh the embarrassment!

Shirkingfromhome · 13/04/2016 10:19

Sunny that's hilarious! Bet she's got it down to a T too!

DS plays 'poo or no poo' when we change microshirking's nappy. Who knew nappy changes could be so entertaining.

Hope you are all ok!
