Been having contractions since 5 am! Don't seem nearly as painful as last time though so I think it will be a while yet.

My nephew is going to be so disappointed. It's his birthday today and he asked me yesterday if I could try and make sure he doesn't have to share his birthday unless it is a boy

LastOneDancing · 26/03/2016 07:27

Oooh Sunny!! How exciting! Have things progressed at all since 5am? I hear a bath is a good way to either get things going or stop a false alarm.

Shirkingfromhome · 26/03/2016 07:58

Yay Sunny hope things are progressing and baby is here soon!

She's here!! Amazingly quick and straightforward labour after the last time. Arrived at hospital at 8.30 got into the pool at 9.30 and baby arrived at 10.30 - 60 hours quicker than her sister took 3 years ago Shock

Little cutie though. She's called Beatrice which is my mum's middle name.

Fraggleyourock · 26/03/2016 14:57

Well done Sunny!!!!! Congratulations!! That's fantastic news! I'm beaming for you! And I love the name Beatrice, I wanted it as a potential for my little one but a friend beat me to it Grin
How much did she weigh? Thanks

Shirkingfromhome · 26/03/2016 17:33

Fantastic news Sunny, congratulations! Absolutely love the name Beatrice, my best friend's little girl has the same name (named after her grandmother). Flowers

Just me left to waddle to the finish line...Grin

AHHHHHHH!! Only just seen this! Massive congratulations Sunny! Beautiful name and glad all went quickly for you. Hope you are recovering well x

All eyes on you now Shirking!! 😜

Fraggleyourock · 26/03/2016 20:59

We are all here to cheer you on shirking!!

SunnyL · 28/03/2016 14:05

Well I have to say life with 2 isn't going too badly.

We were let out of hospital on Sunday with a referral for kidneys and hips to come in the next few weeks. Kidneys we knew about but the hips thing is new - they are a bit floppy plus my brother wore a brace for the first 6 months of his life so they want the physio to check them out.

She's sleeping beautifully right now on her daddy which is a bit different to last night when she decided she could only sleep on me with a boob in her mouth.

For fear of upsetting you - any news Shirking?

Shirkingfromhome · 28/03/2016 15:35

Good to hear you're home Sunny . Really hope there are no problems with your dd's hips or kidneys but it's great they are on the ball so you're not waiting for appointments.

No news! I'm well practiced at waiting, DS was two weeks late! Have a midwife appt on Tuesday so will get an induction date then. This baby will have to come out one way or another!

Hope you've all had a lovely Easter and everyone is ok!

Fraggleyourock · 29/03/2016 17:13

My Easter was lovely thank you, shirking! No good for my diet though! How are you all doing?

Shirkingfromhome · 30/03/2016 11:13

Still here. Being induced on Monday. Had a sweep yesterday and having another on Friday. Have been bouncing on my ball like a mad woman to see if we can advance on 2cm but nothing yet! Had a bit of a scare yesterday as babies HR kept dropping so had to go in and get monitored. All fine though. Was half-hoping they'd whip me in for a section!

Hope you're all ok and enjoying the sunshine, spring is definitely on it's way!

Fraggleyourock · 30/03/2016 17:30

How scary for you shirking! I'm glad all seemed well with baby now though! Fingers crossed you'll go before Monday! But at least you have the finish line in sight now!

SunnyL · 30/03/2016 19:36

Here's another one hoping all these sweeps will work for you. The thought of still being pregnant makes me shudder.

Well after DD refused the moses basket completely and only wanted to sleep with us I've caved and spent big bucks on a co-sleeper which arrived today. Let's see if we get any more sleep tonight - I know others are happy co-sleeping but DH and I have never been comfortable with it while they're so small and vulnerable

Fraggleyourock · 30/03/2016 20:59

I'm with you sunny, I have always thought that if something horrific were to happen while I was sharing a bed with my baby, even if it was pure coincidence, I would blame myself. Please let me know how you find using the co sleeper, and if it's good, which one? I would like a third one day (no time soon) and a co sleeper is top of the list!
How are you doing with your latest addition?

SunnyL · 01/04/2016 08:34

Well I can report the co-sleeper is brilliant. Little girl settles quickly in it with little fussing. It helps that I can lie with my hand on her tummy which I struggled to do with the moses basket. The best bit is I can sleep while doing it.

I got the chicco next to me co-sleeper. It was 150 quid but I had a look on ebay and I reckon I can sell it on for a decent price once we're finished.

How is everyone else? I had a brief look at the March babies board but didn't think I could keep up with all their posts.

Shirkingfromhome · 01/04/2016 13:32

Still here twiddling my thumbs! Induction booked for next Wednesday (was told Monday but they're full, even though I've opted for outpatient). Think I've lost a bit of plug today (sorry tmi!) and have another sweep this afternoon so hoping this gets things moving.

So pleased the co-sleeper has worked for you SunnyL - I must admit I'm tempted to get one if this one doesn't settle in the crib. DR still sleeps in with us and I don't feel comfortable with a new baby as well.

The March board is busy - can't keep up! Hope everyone is OK and you're all enjoying your baby cuddles.

That's the co sleeper I was thinking of getting for next baby sunny, I'm glad it's proving to be a good buy! Fingers are well and truly crossed for you shirking!
Can't believe my little girl turned 15 weeks yesterday! Where did that time go?! Shock

Shirkingfromhome · 01/04/2016 21:45

Oh my goodness fraggle she's beautiful! What a gorgeous smile. 15 weeks already? Where has the time gone?

Had to go in and be monitored again this evening; for such an uneventful pregnancy and easy labour I had with DS I'm getting a bit fed-up now! Have consoled myself with a Chinese takeaway and a shandy!

OP posts:
Fraggleyourock · 01/04/2016 23:26

Thank you shirking! I agree that she is beautiful (but then I would Grin), her eyes really light up when she smiles so I find myself melting on a daily basis! Sorry you needed to be monitored tonight, a Chinese and shandy does seem the perfect way to cheer yourself up though! I hope it was delicious!

SunnyL · 02/04/2016 08:13

Look. At. The. Size. .Of. Her. Eyes!

Wow she's adorable.

A Chinese sounds like perfect reward for being strapped to a monitor all worried. Seems bizarre they don't induce you early given the concern

Shirkingfromhome · 02/04/2016 08:37

They debated it yesterday but the delivery rooms were full. If I have to go in again then they said they will. Hoping to go naturally though as bump feels really low and some mild contractions after yesterday's sweep but they haven't amounted to anything yet.

OP posts:
Brindler · 02/04/2016 10:56

Ahh fraggle hat an absolutely gorgeous little girl! She looks so happy!

Oh Shirking I really feel for you! You must be getting really fed up now. Did you say you were being induced on Monday If nothing happens before then?

More doom and gloom from me I'm afraid. Have now got tonsillitis! Ds also seems to be really suffering with his little tummy. Got a feeling it may be silent reflux so trying to go dairy free for a few weeks to see if that helps before I cart him off to the docs
