Need - news!

OP posts:
Brindler · 08/03/2016 09:08

No news here but due Saturday so could be any day now! LastOneDancing is it tomorrow you are booked in??

SunnyL · 08/03/2016 12:05

Hmm an hour ago I'd have said no news but feeling a bit funny at the moment. I think it might just be babyfinally dropping but also getting low level ache in my back. Still 2 weeks to go though so could be nothing.

Brindler · 08/03/2016 20:27

Ooooh how are you feeling now sunny? Any developments??

SunnyL · 09/03/2016 08:13

Bump has definitely dropped which is giving me a sore back. Otherwise just feeling a bit naseous but that could be lack of sleep (been awake since 3.30 am) or because baby hasn't stopped moving. Think it might be trying to turn round from back to back but from feeling my tummy it doesn't seem like it's having much luck.

How's you Brindler? Any sign of your plug?

LastOneDancing · 09/03/2016 11:06

Hey all. I tried to post last night but MN doesn't like my phone much!

Sunny exciting developments! Have you tried that weird standing sort of on your head thing to give the baby room to turn?

I thought I was in labour this morning. Proper frequent period type pains but I had a bath and it's all stopped. So looks like tomorrow is B-day after all!

Feeling a bit emosh about it all. Trying to enjoy my lovely DS on our last day as a 2 some but he's got the devil in him today! 2 proper tantys so far!

Brindler · 09/03/2016 17:35

Ahh good luck Last! Must be so strange knowing your baby will be here tomorrow! Keep us updated x

I thought baby was coming last night! But think it was some very low down movements. Enough to wake me up in a shock anyway.

No sign of plug Sunny but didn't have a show with Dd until a few hours before she was born!

Shirkingfromhome · 09/03/2016 20:33

Good luck tomorrow LOD this time tomorrow you'll be enjoying new born cuddles!

All these rumblings - I think there'll be a flurry of babies by the weekend!

OP posts:
SunnyL · 09/03/2016 21:49

Ah that would be nice. I certainly wouldn't be bored anymore!

Brindler · 10/03/2016 21:51

Hope all went well for you today LOD! Been checking all day for news!

2 days til official due day for me! I'm soooo scared now!

LastOneDancing · 11/03/2016 01:49

Hi all! Im in the maternity ward from hell having my sheets changed - as you do at 2am!

Our boy arrived safe and sound at 11.27am weighing in at 8'3 (so not the 9lb they predicted at all!).
He's doing great and feeding like a monster, which after DS is just amazing.

ELCS was definitely the right choice - Calm, positive and we got to see him being born and discover the sex for ourselves which was really special.

He looks just like a Diddy version of his big brother and im in love already

SunnyL · 11/03/2016 06:40

Oh fantastic LOD many congratulations Flowers

Also serious sympathy about having to stayon the maternity ward. Fricking horrible places. I have requested that DH backs his car up to the maternity unit with the engine running the minute this baby pops out so I can make a running dash for home. No way do I want to stay in that ward again

Shirkingfromhome · 11/03/2016 07:19

Ah congratulations LOD he's beautiful. So pleased you had a really positive experience too.

Changing sheets at 2am?! I'm the same Sunny hoping to be in and out! Maternity wards are the stuff of nightmares.

That's amazing news LOD!!! Thanks Congratulations! He's an absolute stunner! Sounds like you a lovely and really positive experience! I hated staying on maternity too, lots of interruptions and it's so hot!! It's nice for you to have some time with your little boy before descending into the chaos of home life though! So happy for you! A really nice catch up of the thread! Looking forward to everyone else's good news now!

Brindler · 11/03/2016 09:01

Ohhhh he's so cute!!! Huge congratulations LOD and hope you are both home very soon xx

SunnyL · 11/03/2016 12:38

Oh and in other news went to midwifes today. Don't have another appointment for 2 weeks when they'll do a sweep for me. 2 weeks! Baby is also still back to back.

Also just found out baby will have to have a scan when it's 2 weeks old to look at its kidney. A bit miffed I wasn't told earlier. Apparently it's been on my notes for weeks but no one had told me.

Shirkingfromhome · 11/03/2016 16:09

How many weeks are you now sunny ? I've got my 38 wk appt on Tuesday (although I'm 39 on weds). These last couple of weeks are flying by. Hope you're feeling ok.

Understand being a bit miffed about the scan although at least they've got it booked in rather than having to push for it after. DS had to have a hip scan at 6 wks and it as ok to be fair.

Hope everyone is ok. LOD are you allowed home yet or do you have to be kept in for a few days?

OP posts:
SunnyL · 11/03/2016 21:44

39 on monday so pretty much level pegging with you Shirking. Race you? Wink

Shirkingfromhome · 11/03/2016 22:01

I think you'd be favourite; I went 2 wks over with DS Grin

OP posts:
SunnyL · 12/03/2016 07:15

Oh I dunno - DD was 1 week over. The race is on!

LastOneDancing · 12/03/2016 09:06

We are home! Asked to be discharged yesterday & they were happy to let me go as I'd been marching about (slowly), showered etc. So got a decent night in my own bed - bliss.
MW should be along today to see how Baby no name is getting on. I'm interested to see his weight as he's fed like a trooper.

Are either of you doing anything to speed things along?

Shirkingfromhome · 12/03/2016 14:17

Hooray LOD great news. Hope you're all enjoying lots of cuddles! Nothing like being home in your own bed.

Not this time round! I fell foul of curries and epic heartburn last time and unsuccessful, unromantic, uncomfortable unsexy time with DH Grin . Think I'll just stick to the birth ball for now!

OP posts:
Brindler · 12/03/2016 20:53

Excellent news, glad you're home LOD. Make sure you take it as easy as poss.

Well today is my due day and no signs yet. Sunny and Shirking you could well beat me to it at this rate! Really thought I'd be early this time!

Fraggleyourock · 13/03/2016 20:09

So glad you're home LOD! How are you feeling? Are you healing well? How was your little bundles weight?
Sunny, shirking and Brindler, any of you feeling any signs of imminent baby arrival?? Sorry you weren't told your little one needs a scan, sunny! It's really poor that nobody bothered to tell you, I'd be a bit pissed too! I hope everyone else is doing ok!

SunnyL · 13/03/2016 22:51

No major signs this weekend except I appear to be nesting. DH is on night shifts so spent my evenings making presents for friends babies that are due in the coming weeks.
