Body weight in diamonds? You're pregnant so take advantage of baby's weight.

If not chocolate will work.

hufflebottom · 21/02/2016 16:57

Update: still nothing. Booked in for a sweep on Saturday. Midwife doesn't think I'll need it though. But we'll see

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 21/02/2016 21:26

Hello ladies

Just stumbled across this thread again and nice to catch up with everyone who seems to be in exactly the same boat as me!

38 weeks tomorrow, huge, exhausted, still suffering from heart burn and the heavy undercarriage - oh the joys!! Having some mad braxton hicks when I've overdone it in the day; they lasted 4 hours on Wednesday and I thought that was it, I started timing the contractions and everything but fell asleep and when I woke up they were gone!!

Anyway, let's hope more babies start to pop soon!

LastOneDancing · 21/02/2016 22:00

Ugh my DH has just returned from a stag too Sunny (it wasn't Bath was it?!). He's off tomorrow do he will be in charge all day if I have my way Smile

Oh no smirking, I'd be gutted to have started counting contractions only to have them disappear - how cruel!

SunnyL · 22/02/2016 13:08

Close LOD - he was in Bournemouth but had to fly to Bristol.

I keep getting Braxton hicks when i walk the dog and I was musing to myself how he'd get back if I went into labour since Bournemouth is about as far from Edinburgh as its possible to be whilst still being on mainland UK Smile

What really peed me off this weekend is neither my in-laws (whose dog I've looked after for the last week) nor my DH thought to buy me a toblerone from the airport. Surely there should be some unwritten rule - 8 month pregnant woman = toblerone.

Brindler · 23/02/2016 20:28

Well that's work done til next year! Feel a bit strange about it all and still totally unprepared!

Shirkingfromhome · 23/02/2016 22:15

Sunny no toblerone? Shock how rude!

Brindler I was just about to type 'no more early get-ups for a few weeks' and then remembered that we all have dc on here. Hope you can take it a little easier!

I still need to sort a hospital bag out, and dig out all baby bits I packed away. How's everyone else? Hope you're hanging in there huffle , I went +12 with DS.

Slight rant but Im already fed-up of not being able to bend properly now; DS keeps tipping toys out on the floor and it's a massive pita tidying up every night. Doesn't help I seem to dropping every single thing I handle to; money, keys... Angry

I'm still hanging in. My poor dm just got a phone call from asking about the cramping I'm getting at the moment. Last time I was stuck on a drip and monitored with an epidural in so not quite sure what to expect.

Also don't really want her to arrive tonight as my hospital is closed to visitors (so going to give me away but I don't care) so no one would be able to see her. Sad

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 24/02/2016 14:20

I would like some Toblerone now!

I am trying not to get fed up and firmly fixing in my mind that I'm going to go over but I really do want this baby now - I can sympathise on the bending down front shirking and yes I drop everything, it's like I have a higher centre of gravity around me! I have to crawl on the floor on hands and knees cleaning the toys up at the end of the day!

Starting to see lots of babies being born now and my emotions are all over the shop! Excited, nervous all at the same time!

hufflebottom · 25/02/2016 09:26

Went shopping yesterday. Couldn't find a toblerone for you smirking.

Feel like I'm carrying a baby elephant around now.

SunnyL · 25/02/2016 11:30

DH came home with a Toblerone on monday with a comment about how subtle I was aka Facebook posy about lack of Toblerone.

It's taken all my willpower not to eat the entire thing in 3 seconds. Heartburn has been my only reason to slow down Confused

Shirkingfromhome · 25/02/2016 13:03

Aldi do a great ciytoblerone

Just caught up! My tiny one had her injections today! I feel traumatised all over again! That meningitis B one is a proper bastard! She's really not happy!
How is everyone feeling today! Poundland always has Toblerone!

hufflebottom · 25/02/2016 17:02
