Little girl, 8lb 13

Contractions started at 4ish yesterday morning she arrived just under 24 hrs later.

hufflebottom · 27/02/2016 10:56

She's got dark hair looks gorgeous and is so content just to lie there.

Can't wait to see how long it lasts. :)

Fraggleyourock · 29/02/2016 00:24

Ahhhh! Huffle!! I'm so happy for you!! Congratulations! I hope you're enjoying every second of the bliss filled mummy bubble! A lovely thing to open the thread and see! Thanks xxx

hufflebottom · 01/03/2016 08:37

We're doing good. We were home 12 hrs after. Mum went home last night and dd1 was taken to school by one of her friends this morning so today is first time just me and dd2. Shock

But we should be ok

Shirkingfromhome · 01/03/2016 08:43

Ahhh, so pleased you're home. I hope you're enjoying your newborn cuddles and that today is ok for you. Bet your Dd is excited to be a big sister.
Congratulations again Flowers

My bump is really hard, starting to worry it's all baby! We're down at my sisters this weekend in East anglia and I'm not sure if it's such a smart thing to do as I'm 37 wks (I live near Manchester). I'll pack a bag and take the car seat, that'll be fine won't it?!

Hope you are all doing ok, are the rest of us on the last few weeks countdown now?

I'm not sure I'd risk it shirking, I went into labour 37+4, with no warning!
Huffle! I hope you're enjoying your first day alone with your beautiful new addition!

Fraggleyourock · 01/03/2016 10:59

Early send!
Nice special bonding time for the two of you! Just relax with lots of cuddles!

LastOneDancing · 01/03/2016 15:58

How's it going Huffle?! I hope you're having a lovely day together.

I had a scan yesterday to check the placenta after a second episode of reduced movement - all fine but baby is measuring at about 8lb 2 so is expected to be a biggun'. They're happy I'm booked for an ELCS which has made me more settled with my decision too.

shirking I think I'd go too but I'd be on constant alert and imagining every twinge was labour!

Brindler · 01/03/2016 16:27

Yes hope your day has gone well huffle and you're enjoying your new baby girl and getting some rest too!

I'm feeling very paranoid today. Total tmi alert but it's all looking rather mucousy down there. Got a funny feeling I'm not going to make it to my due date

SunnyL · 01/03/2016 18:37

Ooh Brindler that should mean things kicking off in the next few days.

And Lastone reduced movement sounds a bit scary but nice that you got to see little one again. Definitely good baby is coming out of the sunroof too at that size!

Have had my first day of mat leave today and it's been lovely. Hoping I have at least a week without babyarriving as DH is taking me away for a mini baby moon to a spa hotel Grin

Shirkingfromhome · 01/03/2016 19:51

Had a midwife appt today and she said heads free so I think I'll be ok to go.

huffle and fraggle hope you both had good days with your babies!

LOD pleased everything is ok, sounds like baby is running out of room in there! Smile

Ooo brindler how exciting! Could this be the next baby making its entrance? Hope you're feeling ok.

Most envious of your baby-moon Sunny hope you've enjoyed your first day of mat leave.

I'm working up to my due date and regretting it a bit now!

Shirking - have you booked any annual leave or anything to give you a bit of a break before your EDD?! Although tbh I have done most of my jobs now & feel a bit in expectant limbo.

It was a bit scary Sunny, virtually no movement from the early hours until 3PM when i went in but as soon as they put the monitor on the pressure of the pads sent the baby into a frenzy. They do it on purpose I'm sure.
Enjoy your break - im very jelaous!

Everything crossed for you Brindler- how long to your due date?

Brindler · 02/03/2016 19:00

Due date is 12 March LOD so still 10 days to go. After my panic yesterday ive not felt so paranoid today or like labour is imminent. Midwife tomorrow. Head wasn't engaged last time so wondering if it is now!

hufflebottom · 02/03/2016 19:42

We've done ok the last few days. Midwife is coming to see us tomorrow and health visitor is next week. I still can't work out what day of the week I'm on.

Oooo Brindler you could be the next one.

Brindler · 02/03/2016 20:43

Ahh glad all is going well for you huffle

Would I sound completely crazy if I said I still can't quite believe an actual little person is going to come out of my stomach?!

Shirkingfromhome · 02/03/2016 20:51

I haven't LOD I only work part time and I work in the community so it's not stressful but the tiredness has hit me again. Only 3 weeks left.

Grin Brindler not at all. I see my stomach wriggling away but I can't quite match it to a teeny human being in there!

Pleased you're doing ok huffle I forgot how first few weeks go past in a blur of midwife visits and HV appointments.

Hope everyone else is ok!

SunnyL · 02/03/2016 21:22

I went to visit a friend today who is 3 weeks behind me. When we hugged we reckoned our babies were hugging too as they were kicking merrily away Smile

LastOneDancing · 02/03/2016 21:29

Glad it's going ok Huffle. How has the rest of the family taken to her?

Brindler I'm with you - Im finding the whole thing odd. I feel really unprepared but not motivated to find out what else i need, and cannot get my head around the fact that our baby is arriving before lunchtime next Thursday. Its like we've ordered them off Amazon or something.
It freaks me out.

SunnyL · 03/03/2016 08:29

Did you go for Amazon Prime option LOD or do you have to pay postage and packaging Grin

LastOneDancing · 03/03/2016 11:04

Ha! I wish I'd gone for Prime Sunny! Next day delivery would suit me right now - im waddling like a penguin, my fanjo hurts!

Fraggleyourock · 03/03/2016 16:24

Jealous of your babymoon sunny!
So pleased you're enjoying your days just with just the 2 of you, huffle!
Shirking, I hope you don't get too exhausted working until baby comes!
LOD, I think it's kind of exciting knowing exactly when you will meet your little one! And you can be totally prepared! (Well, as prepared as you ever could be for a baby!)
I found that although both mine were so small, they still didn't look like they could have fit in my tummy! The whole thing is incredible, really!

SunnyL · 04/03/2016 19:40

So our baby moon sparked a bit of a panic in the ILs! MIL texted me to say happy birthday on Thursday but I didn't have much phone signal. She then phoned me on Friday to check I'd got her message but I was in the spa getting my nails done so didn't answer. She's then phoned the house phone and left a message but of course we're away at the hotel.

Then she phoned my mum at lunchtime to see if I was in hospital having baby.

Still not entirely sure why they didn't call DH - surely when it comes to it he's more likely to answer the phone than me Hmm

Brindler · 05/03/2016 20:41

Oh dear Sunny! Hope you had a lovely time though. I went to a spa a few weeks ago and it was so nice, made me wish I could go more often!

Baby feels like he's trying to break free today - has not stopped wriggling all day! I did go for afternoon tea today though so could very we'll be all the cake and tea setting him off!

Brindler · 05/03/2016 20:42

Oh and my dh appears to be nesting! Hes not stopped cleaning all evening! (Not at all complaining about this!)

Shirkingfromhome · 07/03/2016 22:30

Any need anyone? Must be due another one soon!

DH has started faffing about around me too brindler it's driving me mad! I should be grateful really.

Sunny Grin hope you had a lovely break!

Hope all the new babies are thriving too.
