scans I tended to get whenever I saw a consultant, which by the end was monthly last time. It varies.

I rang the hospital today to see if my scan had been booked in yet; 12+3 now, I wanted to have the NT screening too but been told I probably won't get one until I'm around 15 weeks :/ she said she would call me back when she looked into it. I have a private scan booked for 4 weeks today

Haven't posted much as I don't like to think about the pregnancy too much in the early stages, but I had a scan today as part of the Harmony test and there's a baby with a heartbeat in there! I'm 10+2 so due date 20th September. It wouldn't turn side on so we only got to see its back so the pictures aren't too clear, but I don't mind about that. Still waiting to get a booking in appointment scheduled...

Please may I join? New to mumsnet I am 9w4 with first, due 26th September (not had dating scan yet though). I've got horrid nausea and vomiting which seems to be getting worse, had to have today off as so bad last night, hoping it will pass soon!

Hi, new to thread, I had my booking in appointment today, this will be DC3 but I've been in denial hence the lateness! I had a private scan yesterday which puts me at 10w+5 today. Due around the 18th September am now awaiting the flurry of appointments.

My BMI is high, much higher than if this had actually been planned so I'm quite worried, but hopefully everything will be ok. Looking forward to joining you all 😃

Wornoutboots hope you are ok. I had bleeding a couple of weeks ago and panicked, convinced it was all over but a scan a couple of days later showed a heartbeat. Try not to panic (I know this is a stupid thing to say)

I've been on the October thread up to now but went for a scan today and I'm due on 29/09. Baby had a Lovely strong heartbeat and I'm 9+1 pregnant.

I'm enjoying looking through your scan pics and seeing what those who are a couple of weeks ahead are up to.

11 wks today and just heard the heartbeat on my Doppler for the first time. It was most unexpected as I thought it was too early and was only trying to confirm that, iykwim. Got a bit emotional. So far I've been all about how shit I felt but this was the first time I actually became aware of the baby as a little person, working away in there all on its own.

Gah just wrote a whole post and lost it! Oh well I probably waffled anyway. I posted on the first thread but haven't been back since so hope it's ok to come back. I've been feeling utterly miserable and so so unwell which is why I've not been around much. Got my scan on Tuesday and until then I'm not going to relax. I've been putting every ounce of strength I have into jist keeping things going for my 2 year old at the moment. Just really want this sickness and exhaustion to go away now i feel totally drained.

Hi all. I'm back. I was on this thread when it first started but took some time out from mumsnet generally as I was getting a bit over anxious. I've been feeling very ill and still am at 13 + 3. I haven't had my scan yet it is on Tuesday. I've been feeling very detached about the whole thing (not sure if that's the word). Basically I just can't think about this being a real baby until I've had this scan. And all my energy has been going into keeping going as normal for my 2 year old dd which has been a struggle when I've felt this unwell. I hope that when I've had my scan I start to feel a bond with the baby and some excitement and I hope to feel better soon too (please!). It's just so different to my first pregnancy when I was excited from day one despite my sickness. I can't explain it well but needless to say I feel very guilty because I do really really want this baby.

AnnaRose we're baby buddies! I'm 11 weeks today too. Got my scan at 12+5 and, even though I had an early scan at 8 weeks, I don't think I'll relax until then.

Foxes sorry to hear you've been so unwell. I think I've been fairly lucky sickness wise but still could not imagine having a 2 year old to look after over the past few weeks. You're a superhero

Same! I had a scan at 8 wks but although I was relieved it was alive, it certainly didn't reassure me for the future as people lose babies between 8-12 all the time. My scan is March 7th.

foxes are you me??? I have a 15 month old and have been feeling very disconnected, ambivalent (even though it was much planned) and therefore: guilty.

I have been much sicker and DS still has sleep issues and I've just been a slightly tearful zombie. When I have felt anything about the pregnancy it's irritation.

Hearing the heartbeat today gave me a start - for the very first time I felt the merest twinge of protectiveness. I'm going to listen with DH later and try to talk about the baby as the little squishy bag of wet sand that it will be.

Hoping the scan will help bond too.

I never in a thousand years thought I wouldn't be excited yet but I'm trying to give myself a break - 9 months is long, I'll get there.

I'm also struggling to get excited. I've had my first scan and all was well but I get ovary pains all the time and it just feels like a MC could happen at anytime. I know the percentage is now 2% but that doesn't reassure me. It's my 1st as well which doesn't help. I honestly don't think I will stop worrying until the baby is born. It's all a bit frightening and it wasn't planned in the slightest (I thought my boyfriend might not be able to have children as we tried for a few months, a few years ago and nothing happened). It doesn't seem real, I guess it's because I can't hear or feel it!
