4 more sleeps!!!!!

Echy - how annoying you'll have to chase Sad

nailsathome · 08/02/2016 09:27

Is anyone else getting headaches? I'm in so much pain!

Sausage2229 · 08/02/2016 10:55

Hey finally called the midwife. Can't lay on my stomach now - feels like a bladder infection to me!
ANOTHER scan tomorrow at EPU! I feel like a drain on the NHS! I'm 10 weeks on Thursday and it will be my 3rd scan to date! Will see what's happening in there, fingers and toes crossed!! Smile

genome · 08/02/2016 11:35

I'm craving gherkins, I feel like the world's most typical pregnant woman 😂

OP posts:
0hCrepe · 08/02/2016 12:23

Sausage, you're not a drain, that's their job! Really hope it goes well.
Yes I've got a headache too. I have to keep eating to feel more normal, hate having to eat so much I never fancy anything. Just ate 2 massive sandwiches though!

Sharesinpampers · 08/02/2016 12:25

You're not a drain sausage, you've legitimate reasons for getting checked. Hope the third scan goes well.

Nails, I'm getting headaches too. I'm wondering if it's too much sugar in my case. Have been popping fruit pastilles to try and help with nausea (and my BP is a bit low). Today I'm trying to eat other things more regularly though I appreciate crisps are no better and more water.

I'm at work today, not sure how to get through without a nap

Annarose2014 · 08/02/2016 12:30

I'm glad sausage.

My GP has referred me for an early reassurance scan. Of course it still could be two weeks before I get one, but better that than 5 weeks.

She also advised to stop the Crinone as it was causing me such distress and possibly giving me worse symptoms which were so debilitating like the terrible fatigue.

Went to her in worst possible state after night from hell with toddler, so was like a tearful zombie. She was quite alarmed. In fairness, the constant sleep deprivation is like some twisted Japenese torture at this stage. I badly clipped a curb driving there I was so destroyed. So she also advised to cut DSs naps down to next to nothing immediately as she said the sleep deprivation is the most dangerous thing and certainly exacerbating my low mood and general anxiety.

Also advised to start taking Vitamin D for low mood which is in Pregnacare.

So no magic bullet but at least I'm on her radar and have a repeat appt next Monday to review.

balalalala · 08/02/2016 13:02

Sounds like some of you are having a tough time. Hope you are all ok and scans etc go well.
I'm feeling a bit rubbish today. Really emotional and simply can't be bothered. I've got some random pains in my upper stomach that woke me during the night but I don't think it is anything to be overly worried about. I am a bit worried that everyone at work seems to be really poorly at the moment which is making me not want to go into the office (wfh today).

wornoutboots · 08/02/2016 14:02

i'm on the second (stronger) lot of antibiotics to try to shift this tonsillitis. the gp called to tell me there was an infection in my urine and that I needed to come in to get antibiotics to shift it.. lol

booking in tomorrow at home (coz that's what I need... a stranger stressing me out by coming in here)

I wonder what they'll want me to do this time.

ticken · 08/02/2016 15:07

Hi all,
Tea and sympathy to those of you who are having difficult times. I've been following but need to make more of an effort with my posting. Loving seeing all the scan pictures and desperately counting down until mine (18th Feb, when I should be 12wks exactly).
Have any other 2nd (or more) timers had movement yet? It seems ridiculously early but I can see my bump moving. Spend most of my free time staring at my tummy to convince myself that I'm not going mad..

nailsathome · 08/02/2016 15:19

Ticken is it wind? The uterus is still too low to really be seeing movement but my tummy definitely moves and I can follow the gas as it goes! The sonographer even commented on how much wind she could see on the scan!

genome · 08/02/2016 15:35

ticken I didn't see movement, but I felt movement from 12 weeks with my second. I thought I felt something last week, but I'm not certain yet!

OP posts:
ticken · 08/02/2016 15:38

Ha nails, wind would make much more sense, hadn't thought of that. Just looks so much like my movements from last time.. And there was me thinking I somehow had my dates wrong or that maybe it was (gulp) twins!

icklekid · 08/02/2016 15:38

No movement but a definite bump here!

wornout I wouldn't worry about booking in all boring paper work then urine and blood sample. Hope you feel better soon.

sausage hope you are OK today.

I'm still suffering with hyperemesis ano signed off work feeling sorry for myself but will keep that to myself (and the HG thread !!)

Annarose2014 · 08/02/2016 15:54

I just had a call from the EPU saying they could fit me in at 8.30am tomorrow if I could make it. You bet I can!

So at least I'll know soon if my foreboding is warranted or not.

Flowers to icklekid and all those with HG.

eckythumpenallthat · 08/02/2016 15:58

No movement hear but 8 or 12 weeks is a bit early. Didn't feel any till 20 weeks with DD and even then half the time I thought it was wind Grin

Been a bit emotional today. Putting it down to tiredness from 4 full on days of travelling. The last thing I wanted to do was go to a trampoline park this afternoon. But so glad I went! So much fun, brilliant exercise and was absolutely buzzing after an hour! Those that have the energy and not to bump prominent I'd thoroughly recommend.

Lilliana · 08/02/2016 16:53

Trampoline park sounds like so much fun but I just don't have the energy for anything. I fell asleep while DD was on the iPad - she had to wake me up Blush.

I booked in today and they managed to get blood out of me! She was lovely and has asked for my 12 week scan to be as close to 11 weeks as possible so hopefully I won't have to wait until 14 weeks for it and will save me 3 weeks of stressing !

No real bump, just flabby although I've had pains under my ribs for the last few days so hopefully that means things are growing and pushing upwards.

spacepoodle · 08/02/2016 18:54

Sorry to hear about the HG ickle. Hope you manage to get some respite soon

Had my booking appointment today. My midwife is so lovely, I'm really pleased! Went away with the most indiscrete A3 sized maternity folder (it may as well say "HEY EVERYONE! I'M PREGNANT!" on both sides.

Have been off work again today because as well as still having a throat infection I had terrible vertigo last night (which resulted in some spectacular projectile vomiting). I'm still feeling dizzy so have spent the whole day trying not to move my head too much. I must say having three samples of blood taken from me didn't really help.

We told our parents at the weekend so it's finally feeling real!

Anna good luck for tomorrow.

eskimoflo · 08/02/2016 19:46

Glad to see that there are other sharing my due date My SIL is American and when I texted her to tell her I'd had the scan and everything was fine, she texted back saying 'what good news! Crazy due date though!' I didn't even consider it until DH reminded me about 11th Sept. Now, he's set on calling the baby Porsche, as it was conceived in Stuttgart, during the time we visited the Porsche museum, plus there's the Porsche 911. Erm... no! Confused

Anna and Sausage Good luck for your scans tomorrow. Hopefully you'll both be reassured Flowers

Lilliana and space I had my booking appointment today too! I got the huge A3 size folder, gave blood for what seemed like an age and attempted to pee in an impossibly tiny little pot (I ended up handing in a thimble sized amount as most of it missed completely!) The one I got given for next time is bigger, so hopefully I won't have the same problem!

My 12 week scan is booked for 1st March, when I'll be 12+2. Exciting times!

My nausea has returned. Last night, I threw up in the bath... whilst in it! DH came in and tried to hold my hair back, but it was all greasy with conditioner. I pulled the plug in a desperate attempt to not have a bath in my own vomit, but I wasn't quick enough. Sad, sad times. Grin Grin It's a relief to have it back, as it's been gone for a week and was replaced by a horrible cold and cough. Now it's back and it's not nice, but comforting all the same.

x x

Fifi10 · 08/02/2016 20:03

ticken my scan date is 18th feb too!

I'm very confused at the moment as I haven't had my 12w scan yet, but have already been sent appointments for consultant obstetrician for week 17 and week 20 (two different consultants and neither is a scan). Not sure if it's an admin error, I didn't think they would schedule me in for further apots until they had met me. Its DC1, no previous mc or gynae history. I think its a bit OTT to be honest Hmm

SockQueen · 08/02/2016 20:16

Oh gosh eskimo that sounds grim! I realised about the Sept 11th thing straight away, but a)I think a lot of the stigma around the date has faded now - it'll be 15 years - and b) very few babies are actually born bang on the due date anyway. It's actually our 5th wedding anniversary on Sept 10th, so that might be a nice date!

eskimoflo · 08/02/2016 20:47

I think you're right Sock plus, I think they may move my dates a bit as I progress. According to the dates at the moment, conception most likely took place on 20th December. We DTD on 12th and 14th December and no more after that, so my DH's sperm would have been hanging around in my tubes (playing cards and watching Netflix) for around 6 days. Unless he's got extremely long-lived spunk, I think it happened earlier Wink Grin

peardrop2 · 08/02/2016 20:59

I can't keep up. I'm normally really good at keeping up with threads Confused I think it's your names...some of them are so long I can't remember Smile

My gap maternity tops arrived today. Silly me for thinking I could fit into them now Blush Still, I'm very happy to have something in my cupboard waiting! Only one of them has to be returned. The white t-shirt is very transparent through but I'm keeping it as it's very comfy and hopefully with a vest top underneath it will be passable or I will just use it as a comfy pyjama top! I've ordered it in black now too because it's so comfy. If anyone is buying from gap remember their sizes are huge! I'm size 10-12 so I went for xs and small.

I've also got a massive shout out loud "I'm pregnant" folder. I made DH hide it under his coat as there was no way I was walking home with that in sight!! The writing so big the elderly can read it from across the road Shock

eckythumpenallthat · 08/02/2016 21:18

Huge maternity folders ?! what on earth is in it? 4 year ago I just had the a4 ish sized green maternity notes that got stashed in my bag and were full of additional pages (cos I never saw the same midwife twice. Talk about continuity of care. NOT) and were a right dog eared state by the time I had dd! Grin this scares me. I work in the health centre that the community mw do the appointments in. I don't want to be outed. I'm not telling work till the last minute and when I really have to

Sharesinpampers · 08/02/2016 21:31

Glad booking ins have gone well. ickle can't imagine how you're feeling, I'm struggling with run of the mill nausea.

Tip for collecting pee sample. Cut the top off a water bottle and pee into that. Then pour it into the ridiculously small tube they give you. If at a clinic, use a water cup from their machine. Smile
