Thank you everyone, it feels so exciting and real!
The only real craving I've had is still hot crossed buns... Oh and twix bars. Other than that I've mostly gone off sweet things when previously I had a real sweet tooth.

I normally have such a sweet tooth but I'm eating anything savoury at the moment! I'm really craving Mini Cheddars and find they help my nausea!

Oha - thank you it was lovely to see the letter this morning!

Only one slight problem. We can't get a sitter for dS so he will have to come with us. The letter says no children allowed. You don't really think that they won't let DH see the baby at the end do you? That would be really mean

Hi all, just catching up, there are so many messages.

Glad you're feeling a bit more positive somewhere feel free to vent away on here we're all ears. Glad you got your scan date peardrop

We had our appointment for the harmony test his morning, ouch that blood test hurt! Had a scan though and saw the lovely little heartbeat and arms and legs, so cool that you can see it all so clearly at just 11 weeks I have no idea how to upload a photo on here but will try in a minute, it looks like a little alien :)

Had my booking in appt on Wednesday too, was really apprehensive about going back to the hospital because I had so many problems with my first pregnancy (many an hour sat sobbing outside the ultrasound rooms) so I was really scared. But, the whole place has changed, the antenatal unit is in a completely different place, and is all new. It felt like a massive weight lifted and I now feel confident to go back there. Plus, today's scan was all good they said baby was healthy and developing well and measuring good for dates (phew). We've got the NHS nuchal a week today and then harmony results and private nuchal on 18th and we opted to find out gender so will get that on 18th too!! That is going to be a long 13 day wait!

Cravings are for sweet stuff, the more the better. Chocolate, sweets, hot cross buns, can't get enough of it

Peardrop they really don't let any children in at our hospital, partners have to stay in the waiting room with them

peardrop our hospital are pretty strict too, I have seen dads have to sit outside the scan room with the child while the mum goes in. They are fine with children at midwife appointments but not scans. Maybe you could call ahead and you might be able to agree it

Hey is anyone getting any pains? I'm 9 weeks and 1 day. I'm getting pains in what I think is my ovaries. Tiny bit of spotting. Anyone had this and then continued to have a healthy pregnancy? X

Hey sausage from your due date partner. I get plenty of cramping still, no spotting, but unless it goes on for too long, gets really painful or gets heavier I wouldn't worry too much. Ring your midwife for reassurance?

Sausage you could go to the EPU for reassurance.

I had lower abdominal pain last time. I was examined and they deemed it muscular. Just things stretching basically. Didn't have any spotting though but I know it's common enough in the 1st trimester.

Sorry you're getting pains Sausage maybe call your EPU for advice, they probably do a scan for reassurance

I have had bleeding from about 7 weeks. I had a scan then and baby was stuck with a heartbeat and I have been bleeding every day since. They aren't worried unless I soak a pad in an hour. I get the normal period cramps and the odd sharp twinge. I assume everything is normal and have 12 week scan on 17th and consultant on 11th.
I'm also having to have daily blood thinning injections because I'm overweight (lost none of my
Last baby weight and have pcos) and it's my 4th baby. My main issue this time is severe nausea and occasional sickness. I cannot look at food let alone eat it, I can't move, travel anything without feeling horrendous.
I'm only sick about 3 times a day and literally nothing stops the nausea. It's horrendous!

The nausea is so horrible kimbles! I'm similar, only a couple of actual vomiting episodes per day, but I just feel queasy the whole time. It gets worse when I'm hungry, but half the time when I do eat it just comes straight back. Hope this doesn't go on too long.

Measuring the right size and lovely heartbeat. There's a bleed which you can see on the right hand side which is why I'm spotting. She said it's old and I'll continue to spot until it's all out but nothing to worry about.

I had my early scan this morning. Baby is 8 weeks exactly and has a strong heartbeat. Everything looks fine! It was so strange to see it up on the screen. I was convinced I'd made it up!

Yay spacepoodle. I still feel like I've made it up!

Wow amazing to see all these scan pictures. Can't wait for mine but I'm only 8 weeks so ages to wait. May discuss paying for one with dh!!

Sausage how are you feeling today? As lots of people have experienced spotting can be nothing to worry about. It's horrible not knowing what's going on though.

Do you reckon you could get a scan if you went to the dr? I did with my dd when I was spotting at 6 weeks.

I've had 2 already. One last week. I really don't want to bother anyone and I know that if anything is wrong then nothing can be done
