Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

Welcome orangeblossom

Yes my Feb 14 group are amazing.

melonribena · 30/01/2016 08:30

Hello orange!

I didn't join a thread last time as I was new to mn and didn't know they existed!! So pleased I've joined this one though!

I range up the gp yesterday and they booked me in for my booking in appt in s months time. They said it's a good idea to ring up a few weeks before as its a 30/40 min appt and times can get filled up quickly.

wetsnow · 30/01/2016 09:06

Yes they take blood at your first appointment. I remember because they couldn't do mine... I had to come back and go to the proper blood people.
Not sure if they'll need blood second time round... hope not.

LotsaTuddles · 30/01/2016 09:18

They still do blood 2nd time around. At booking at at 12 week scan here.

Did FRER this morning. Line is still faint, but DH thinks it's stronger than before (picture is bad)

Lotsa, I can see a line, definitely!

LotsaTuddles · 30/01/2016 12:07

Spotting and very slight cramps today, so may be out

ILoveYouBaby · 30/01/2016 13:37

Oh no Lotsa. Spotting here as well, it's incredibly common in early pregnancy so don't give up hope just yet.

missybct · 30/01/2016 13:53

Welcome shrops, orange and giggle - CONGRATULATIONS!

Lotsa - like baby said, spotting is SO common early on. Keep an eye on yourself, you said you had very light cramping so try to stay positive as much as you can Flowers

Forgot to say what I do for a living - I'm a data analyst so sit at a desk most of the time. Cannot wait for ML all being well, me and OH work at the same company - cue too many discussions about XYZ relating to work!

Today has been THE DAY FROM HELLâ„¢ Angry - OH was in a cob last night and finally let rip about work (ugh) - there is a lot of structural changes and he's been dumped with so much with a skeleton crew it's unreal. Doesn't help that one of the on call team has skived off again (apparently he has 'the epic shits' but put on FB about going to a birthday party, go figure) and OH is the only one who can take over. We get an emergency call at 11pm, OH has to go on site (45 min drive away) and is there until 3am Angry.

Had to pick up DSS as it's our weekend access, poor kid has gone over to work with Dad as I have to stay in for a boiler man that has FINALLY arrived. OH is shitting kittens, I imagine DSS is bouncing off the walls as the only food we have at work is mainly sugar based and cuppasoups.

RANT OVER. God I'd LOVE a glass of wine Grin

LotsaTuddles · 30/01/2016 14:00

Sounds stressful missy.

I don't know if it's counted as spotting anymore as the blood is actually red now.

Oh and to top it off. We're all round PiLs with SiL and nieces and my mum Hmm

SimileMilly · 30/01/2016 14:19

Big hugs lotsa - fingers crossed it stops and it can be put down to 'one of those early pregnancy things'.

Sounds very stressy missy. I am also office based so no real issue about telling work in terms of risk assessments but I'm glad my line manager knows.

We're supposed to have date night tonight - dinner and cinema. WIBU to cancel in favour of ordering pizza and watching netflix in our pjs? This cold has totally wiped me out.

daydream86 · 30/01/2016 14:30

Hello all, happily joining the October club! got my Bfp yesterday after our first month ttc, was in total absolute shock as have PCOs and was sure it would take months and months! estimated dur date 7th October! had 4 days of light brown spotting until yesterday and light cramps. was really worried about the spotting has disappeared today. tentatively happy because period not officially due til Monday (long Cycles) fingers crossed the with will stay away. horrible metallic taste in mouth today and feeling sicky on and off (is it too early for that?) boobs not particularly sore though x

melonribena · 30/01/2016 14:52

Oh lotsa, fingers crossed for you. And sounds horrendous that you are at your pil's.

missybct · 30/01/2016 15:03

Welcome and congrats daydream - nah, I had the sicky on/off feeling just after my BFP, it disappeared last week - think it comes in fits and starts especially in very early weeks as you're adjusting to hormones. Or that's what I like to think Grin

Oh god today has been one heap of stress Milly & Lotsa - will be glad when things quieten down and I can have a fecking bath!

Lotsa - keep an eye on yourself. Have you told DH what is going on? How much are you bleeding?

Mily - Same boat, pizza and Netflix, always.

wetsnow · 30/01/2016 16:43

Welcome daydream
Oh no lotsa keeping everything crossed for you xx

ditsygal · 30/01/2016 16:44

lotsa fingers crossed for you, that sounds stressful, but isn't always a sign of anything. Lots of people do have bleeds in early pregnancy.

Milly Definitely I would opt for takeaway and sofa over going out if you have a cold!

ugh ugh ugh sickness may be kicking in - either that or I am coming down with a stomach bug. I feel so nauseous this afternoon, just retched over the toilet. Really hoping its a short lived feeling and passes quickly! it's a bit early to be starting morning sickness already! I made it to at least 7 weeks without any last time.

melonribena · 30/01/2016 16:56

When does morning sickness generally start? I only felt nauseous last time!

ILoveYouBaby · 30/01/2016 17:44

Oh Lotsa, I hope your DH is giving you lots of tlc.

My sickness tends to be nausea here and there early on, picking up in week 6. But I think it's individual.

LotsaTuddles · 30/01/2016 18:56

Yeah he's looking after me. We left PiLs early, but my mum's staying at ours tonight again.

Not a lot really. I probably could've gotten away with 1 pantyliner all afternoon

ILoveYouBaby · 30/01/2016 19:31

That's the same amount as me. It's hard, but try not to worry x

melonribena · 30/01/2016 21:26

Thinking of you lotsa

Paige84 · 30/01/2016 22:40

Hi all

Still reeling in shock from a long awaited BFP on Thursday. EDD 9th Oct. First pregnancy and while I'm over the moon I'm also terrified it's not real or something awful will happen. I've tested twice a day since I found out and I'm still amazed every time I see that second line or the word "pregnant"! I'm not usually a stressy person at all so hoping it all sinks in over the next few days and I can just calm down a little...!! 😆

ashesandfire · 30/01/2016 22:51

Giggle your dd is 3 days older than mine :) number 2 is due end of Sept I think but dd had to be forcibly evicted 2 weeks late so I suspect I have another October baby here :)
I am pretty symptom free apart from total exhaustion but as I'm a teacher that's pretty much standard for me! Also keep picking up bugs and currently fighting off what I think might be a chest infection, getting it checked at docs next week.

ashesandfire · 30/01/2016 22:55

orangeblossom I'm a Surrey-based teacher with an Oct 13 baby too :)
lotsaFlowers
paige congratulations!

melonribena · 30/01/2016 23:19

Lots of fellow teachers on here! Great news! When's anyone planning on telling school?

Last time I waited until after the 12 week scan but my situation and class of children are very different this time

Paige84 · 30/01/2016 23:28

Thanks ashesandfire!

I'm a veterinary nurse on the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border
