Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

Nah, with dd my positive line was even stronger than the control line and she's just her

melonribena · 28/01/2016 22:22

Busybee and wet snow, my last pregnancy I timed really badly with school holidays, ended up taking the summer hols as maternity leave as had to finish a few weeks before. Was shit! Was determined to try my best and do a better job this time!!

Twins run in my family, I wonder what the early signs are??!!

Georgina4 · 28/01/2016 23:10

Hi all, I got my bfp this week (well yesterday but feels like ages ago) and calculate would be due 4th October. This is my first and still early days so a bit apprehensive, I googled it (so it must be true ha ha) and I'm apparently 4 weeks but apparently the first two weeks don't really count, still trying to understand it all). DH is trying to keep me positive by saying all will be well. When did ppl go to the gp to confirm? Straightaway or after a few more weeks? X

melonribena · 28/01/2016 23:22

Congrats Georgina!
With my first I went straight to the gp to confirm. Firstly because I couldn't believe it and secondly as I wasn't sure of the procedure!

This time I'm ringing them in about a week, you usually have a booking in appt at about 8 weeks.

Georgina4 · 28/01/2016 23:46

Thanks melonribena x

wetsnow · 29/01/2016 05:19

Congrats Georgia
Yes last time I went to the Dr pretty fast... This time ill wait a few weeks I think.
Just poas again... still 2 lines... still in shock.

leoniethelioness · 29/01/2016 06:48

Thank you for the list!

missybct · 29/01/2016 06:57

Aww Merkin you star. Thanks for that Grin

Welcome wetsnow and Georgina - congratulations!

I'm not looking forward to being pregnant during the summer and hope it's a dull, cold one Grin.

I've got quite a lot of pressure pain around my butt this morning - probably as I was constipated (joy) and managed to go. Didn't sleep great either - OH came home from business meal in an absolutely foul mood and proceeded to act like a total arsehole, still not quite sure why.

Fortunately I'm working from home today as we're having our boiler fixed, and I'm waiting for DSS to be dropped off later. Kind of feel like telling OH to go loco and get the bus over to my Mum's after 'work' to watch a shit movie and moan Grin

melonribena · 29/01/2016 08:23

Thanks for the list merkin!

And missy, do it!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/01/2016 08:40

I seem to have the return of carpal tunnel in my thumb. I got it in first pregnancy in the third tri and didn't think it could start so early but it bloody hurts.

Part of me wants a wet cold summer and part of me thinks that would be hell cooped up with DD who is 2 in March. Maybe alternate days of sun and rain??!

missybct · 29/01/2016 08:51

ARGHHHH! We've already been a week without hot water and heating...today was supposed to be D-Day and I'd finally be able to shower/bathe in my own ruddy bathroom...but no. ANOTHER part is needed.

AngryAngryAngry

Not only am I working from home for no fecking reason (plumber went before I would leave for work) but now I can't even have a sodding shower Angry

Silver linings - I can stay in my PJ's Grin

soundsystem · 29/01/2016 10:26

Thanks for the list merkin

I had my work Christmas do last night (yes, in January) and I think I got away with pretending to drink. I'm now feigning a hangover (not difficult as I feel quite queasy!) and have eaten a huge fry up with my team Grin.

ditsygal · 29/01/2016 10:55

Hi everyone,
Can I join you? I got a BFP 1 week ago, 2 days before my missed AF. So I'm 4weeks 4 days today. Really early days and I'm really nervous that it won't stick! EDD is 2nd October.
This will be DC2 for me. I have a 3 year old DS and I am a stay at home mummy with him. I don't think I was this nervous last time, but I guess a few years and knowing of friends who have had early miscarriages is making me paranoid!
Anyway, all seems well so far, so I will stick to the mantra "today I am pregnant" and just try to enjoy it. Symptoms so far, some cramps and stretching feelings in my tummy, sore boobs, short tempered, occasional nausea but nothing bad yet.
I've told my Mum and sister so far, and we will tell DH's parents next weekend all being well.
Anyway Just wanted to say Hi! I enjoyed the November 2012 board last time so excited to join in with this one!

melonribena · 29/01/2016 11:11

Welcome ditsy! Congratulations!
I have a 3 year old ds as well!

melonribena · 29/01/2016 11:12

Does anyone know if we are allowed runny eggs? I didn't during my last pregnancy but I vaguely remember reading on here that they are now allowed if they have the lion stamp?

soundsystem · 29/01/2016 12:05

melon yep, runny eggs are ok as long as they are lion-stamped. Hurrah!

melonribena · 29/01/2016 12:05

Thank you!! Yay!

wetsnow · 29/01/2016 12:13

Welcome ditsy

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/01/2016 13:00

There's a brilliant book called expecting better which examines actual scientific evidence for things you should / should not eat/drink/do during pregnancy. It's evidence based and I found it a great read and a brilliant quick reference guide too - it's available on kindle so you can quickly jump to different sections

isthatpoisontoo · 29/01/2016 14:27

Congrats disty and georgiana. Consolations to the cold, grubby missy.

I loved Expecting Better, too. It's the only pregnancy book I've read where I didn't feel patronised. I've been using the handy miscarriage-rates-by-week graph to decide when to announce.

I've just taken a delivery of de-alcoholised fizzy wine, feeling slightly annoyed that I'll be the only sober person at my wedding. I'm finding the not drinking easier to navigate than I thought, though, feeling queasy I can honestly say "I don't want a drink," rather than trying to think up excuses.

I've filled in my info on the list:

isthatpoisontoo don't worry too much about your wedding, I found I didn't drink much at mine anyway! It's a wonderful day, but there is so much going on there and I just didn't eat or drink much which really surprised me!

Hello lovely ladies! Can I please join too?

Just got my BFP this morning and feel like my chat isn't very appropriate for the TTC thread anymore (it would probably be a little insensitive, actually).

My edd is 5th October, and I'm 4+2. It's my first.
