Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

Raises hand on the EATING crap. Gah. 5+5 is too early for baby brain surely?! Confused

thistlescot · 13/02/2016 17:20

I dunno bananafish I had a few wtf are you doing moments yesterday at work and my colleague said you're being a proper plonker today! I don't know if it's too early for it or not but something is definitely going on

SimileMilly · 13/02/2016 17:33

OMG yes to the salty carby crap! I've eaten an entire tube of salted Pringles today and absolutely craving KFC (which I normally wouldn't eat if you paid me).

LisaTheGreek · 13/02/2016 17:38

Planeteer - hello to another SE Londoner! Grin

Any reason why you didn't choose Lewisham? Is it just that you prefer Kings? (Just trying to see if there's anything negative about Lewisham)

Giggle - yep, loads of diarrhoea over here too. Soooo much fun.....

LisaTheGreek · 13/02/2016 17:39

Oh, and another one here for the salty carby crap! Wink

goldenpineapple · 13/02/2016 17:43

Yes! Crisps, crisps and more crisps! And I'm usually a sugar fiend but I can't face the idea of chocolate, which I think is the first time ever in my life! Bought some salty rice cakes today to attempt being slightly healthier!

wetsnow · 13/02/2016 17:45

Yes to cap eating too.
Had a nap and just back from a play date with 3 toddlers.
Dd has been such hard work today. We did baby ballet and she was awful.
I'm panicking about dealing with two!

Waves to plant nice to have lots of near by people!

Investigate prams properly before you buy
Last time I bought a second hand on and dd wouldn't go in it plus I hated pushing it as it was massive.
Then we bought a different one but it has no carry cot so will need to investigate new born options. I'm tempted to just sling till old enough to go in the seat.

Dd is just 2 but completelying refuses to go in the buggy now. Such a pain.

Georgina4 · 13/02/2016 18:07

I am fully eating crap also, DH is trying to get me to eat healthier but all I want is pizza! But I'll have a salad with it, so that's ok Wink

Figgygal · 13/02/2016 18:28

I went through a massive vinegar phase last time round

kittyvet · 13/02/2016 19:16

Yes I had dreadful cramping and diarrhoea 2 was ago.
I am also craving carbs and finding veggies hard to eat. I am mainly eating bread and crisps. It was the same last time when I existed on a diet of white foods for about 6 wks. Trying to drink fruit juice and eat some fruit to balance out lack of veggies!

Urgh yes to the diarrhoea, had it for a week or so, but ds has just started with it too so maybe it's a bug,
I'm scoffing salty stuff like a mad woman too!

I've not been looking at prams because we still have the last one and I'm a bit of a sling addict 🙈

wetsnow · 13/02/2016 19:49

Wondermoose I was late coming to slings with dd so looking forward to using them from the start with new babba.
Loved wearing dd.
I have the lillebaby so need to see if newborns can go in it... also have a moby wrap but a faff.

MsFiremanSam · 13/02/2016 19:55

Carbs only here too! Was determined to be super healthy this time but the sickness is SO grim 😞 Am existing on bread, dry crackers and kettle chips. Bleurgh.
Tried to get some emetrol today which is supposed to ease nausea and is safe in pregnancy, but no luck. Pharmacist gave me some sea bands which haven't made a jot of difference. So tired and achey too, feels like Ive got flu 😬
Sorry others are suffering too!

melonribena · 13/02/2016 20:08

Hi!! I'm into salty stuff too. Gammon is my current favourite! Trying to eat healthier though so attempting a fruit salad too!

Saw the gp yesterday, over a non pregnancy issue. She was lovely and checked me over. Said my uterus was right for being 6+6 pregnant.

melonribena · 13/02/2016 20:12

Interesting reading about slings. Can anyone recommend one? I had a wrap last time and never felt ds was secure. Thinking more of a structured baby Bjorn type if anyone can suggest one
Thanks!

wetsnow · 13/02/2016 20:16

melon you are best going to a sling library and trying them.
I love my lillebaby. Friends have the Ergo and say it is good.
Bjorn isn't supposed to be good for hip placement.

Reluctantnympho · 13/02/2016 20:17

I've gone off a lot of things so I think I'm loosing a few pounds! No booze and no chocolate has got to make a difference. P'd on a stick today just to check! Line came up really quickly and darkly! Next week I will pluck up the courage to get one of those tests with the weeks indicator on. I was worried that I'd tempted fate because I'd subscribed to prima baby and ordered some mat tops! The first few weeks are so stressful Sad

wetsnow · 13/02/2016 20:18

Lillebaby was recommended to me at a sling library because dd was 100+ percentile baby and it's supposed to be good for heavier babies.

melonribena · 13/02/2016 20:21

Thank you Wetsnow, Ds was on the heavy side! I'll look into a sling library!

Gigglebert · 13/02/2016 20:43

We have the stokke carrier and I love it, my daughter can still go on our backs at 2.5! also used a fabric wrap around the house that I passed on so will need another.

Also only really eating carbs... Husband bought Apple pie for dessert to try and cheer me up, didn't really fancy it but cooked it to humour him, the smell made me boak :( now off to bed!

fish88 · 13/02/2016 21:09

Yes to the salty carbs. I normally have such a sweet tooth but craving crisps and bread at the minute. We ordered pizza Hut takeaway for tea, yum!

I'm also a sling addict! I have loads that I was planning on selling now my toddler wants to walk everywhere but instead I'm being tempted by wraps for the new squish.

wondermoose · 13/02/2016 21:26

Ooh melon yes try a library, carrier wise I have a tula and a connecta, connecta is very soft but the tula is more padded, the baby bjorns arent meant to be very good for their hips, you want smethng where their weight is on ther thighs not their groin, but i think their newest one is better
I have about 10 woven wraps and at least 6 ring slings 😂 ring slings are amazing for nipping to the shops/gp/children's centre etc, I only got into them when ds was 7m but they would've been so much help when he was squishy

Planeteer · 13/02/2016 22:22

Have gone from feeling excited about telling parents to anxiously symptom spotting and convincing myself I've jinxed it. Lots of cramping tonight, but probably partly due to me stressing myself out. Gaaaaah! Someone have a stern word with me please, I'm driving myself bananas!

Haven't heard anything bad about Lewisham Lisa, just researched Kings first and really like the look of their birth centre. We might well be moving before October rolls around though, so who knows where I'll end up!

Anyone with dcs have experience of moving house while pregnant? On a scale of 1 to absolute nightmare, how was it?

Also joining the salty crap train! Since you guys were talking about mcds a Big Mac is ALL I want to eat. Bye, waistline!

MrBensMrs · 13/02/2016 22:39

Just got back from a hen do meal - girls tried to convince me to go out for shots in vodka revs - politely declined and bigged up my cold - man can't wait for 12 weeks when everyone knows and you can be normal about it!

Bluecarrot · 14/02/2016 00:51

Other than sleep issues I'm thankfully still symptom free at 5 weeks ( no symptoms in previous pregnancies either)

I've been looking at prams, slings, cots, neutral clothes . While reminding myself that we already have all these things! ( might get carrycot attachment for our baby jogger as long as this baby isn't predicted as another 11lb'er) So instead I'm looking to get things I was on the fence about for toddler dd- a wee playhouse, a balance bike etc cause now it will be used by two kids (all being well)
