Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

Morning again everyone 5.15am start again here with ds not doing wonders for pregnancy tiredness. I used my connecta carrier most of ds first year and now he pretty much refuses to go in the pushchair so I am contemplating just slinging new baby and not buying a double is this crazy ? Ds will be 2 years 3 months when new baby due. I am eating loads too I have breakfast then I'm starving again by 10.30 and start feeling nauseous. 6 weeks here ! Going to attempt the gym this morning wish me luck

wetsnow · 14/02/2016 06:12

With you hallows dd up bright and early. Im a zombie.

Alwaysinahurrynow · 14/02/2016 06:33

We resisted getting a double initially as we thought the almost 2 year old would be fine on a buggy board. We lasted a five minute walk before realising it wouldn't work. Definitely worth it for us especially as we did a few classes about a 35 min walk away. Used it up to about my eldest being 2 &3/4 for big trips. They generally have a good resale value.

Allhallowseve · 14/02/2016 06:53

Oh thanks god I'm not alone wet
Yes I think I am perhaps being slightly unrealistic always perhaps a second hand one and then if I don't use that much it won't be a big deal.

kittyvet · 14/02/2016 07:02

Close caboo good for newborns and less faff than a moby. I have a manduca which I love but borrowed close caboo from library early on. It's very individual so library lets you try before you buy! Also hoping not having to buy another pushchair just a buggy board.

Hi all,
Parents eve put me out of action last week and I'm struggling to keep up! This thread moves so fast!
All ok here, not many symptoms.
I keep forgetting I'm pregnant- it was all I thought about last time- now I barely remember.
I am hoping to get a sling this time. Good to hear recommendations.
I also see there's quite a few SE London ladies here. I had DD at the oasis at the Princess Royal at Farnborough and hope to go back again xxx

Figgygal · 14/02/2016 07:39

Blue carrot we have a baby jogger from 4yo ds we going to use again it was my best baby item we have the carry cot ds was 9lbs it didn't last long was very slim. I am def getting a car seat this time that can attach to it. Ds screamed for 9 months in the baby jogger so ended up carrying him most of the time def want a decent carrier this time had a baba sling but never quite got on with it will research sling libraries

wetsnow · 14/02/2016 07:50

And yes I keep forgetting too!!

Hello everyone,

4 weeks today! (Found out at 3 so it seems like ages). Still bleeding but still apparently pregnant - I'm going to try and go to the EPU and get seen as no one else will help Sad Alternately positive and proper upset about it all xx

thistlescot · 14/02/2016 08:06

Congratulations Orianabanana, and sorry you are having such a scary and stressful time. Bleeding in pregnancy is one of the scariest things, and even though there are lots of pregnancies that have it and go on to have healthy babies, it doesn't stop the worry does it.
I hope the EPU will see you, and you can get some reassurance. I'm sorry that at a time like this there hasn't been the support there, what did the doctor say?

melonribena · 14/02/2016 08:14

Sorry to hear that oriana, hope you get sorted. Must be a nerve wracking time for you

Afreshstartplease · 14/02/2016 08:19

I had a big bleed at 16 weeks with DC2

Very scary

But was apparently nothing, no explanation given

He's now six , I carried him to term and he is perfectly healthy

OrianaBanana · 14/02/2016 08:54

Thanks guys. EPU won't/can't help as there's no doctor there at the weekend and a scan won't show anything. My only option is out of hours GP - I know I have low progesterone I think I just need a supplement but no one is helping me Sad

missybct · 14/02/2016 09:08

Out of Hours isn't too bad Orianna - they will be able to prescribe you the supplement quicker than A&E or EPU I imagine - either give your surgery a call, or ring 111 and make it very clear to them what the problem is/what you need - 111 can arrange OOH GP appointments.

melonribena · 14/02/2016 09:10

Oriana , is there a walk in centre near you? We received excellent care at ours when ds was struggling to breathe.

OrianaBanana · 14/02/2016 09:20

I'm getting a call back in the next two hours from OOH GP.

Is it just me or have they set up so many barriers to actually SEEING SOMEONE these days? I've been advised not to go to EPU, can only get phone appts with GPs during the week and need a call back to talk to someone before I can go to the OOH clinic...

fish88 · 14/02/2016 09:39

planeteer we moved house when I was 10 weeks pregnant last time. It wasn't too bad but we didn't have any other children and because we were moving from rented accommodation we had a week overlap to move everything. We are going to view a new house next week so may end up moving house again this pregnancy.

hallows really depends on your toddler. Mine is 2 years 3 months now and refuses to go in the pushchair most of the time. He also doesn't want to go in the sling. He will be 3 when the new baby comes and I'm not getting a double. Will have new baby in either a sling or pushchair.

SimileMilly · 14/02/2016 10:00

Hope you manage to see someone oriana. The level of care we received when I MC'd was appalling. Despite being 8wks at the time and in a lot of pain they were very reluctant to let me go in and actually see someone.

I've moved house at 6 months pregnant and again with a 1yr old into rented accommodation and then again when she was 2 into the house we bought. When pregnant no one let me do anything other than boss them around. Both times after she was born my parents took her but the last move was by far the most stressful (never move into a house with no floors or heating on New Year's Eve!!) I don't think there is an easy time. We will eventually need to move again but hoping to wait another 2yrs when we'll be in a better financial position. Plus this house puts us in the best catchment for the school I want DD to attend.

DP is asleep after nightshift and DD has bribed me to take her swimming. We've compromised on soft play but I feel so sick this morning and can think of nothing worse right now. Eurgh.

Afreshstartplease · 14/02/2016 10:15

I had a double with DC1&2

They were 16 months apart, used it until eldest was two and a half then had to stop as I could get it up hills anymore

DC3 will be 3.6 when baby arrives so she will be fine walking. She walks a lot now we know use buggy on long trips

Blueskygirl30 · 14/02/2016 10:35

Oriana I really hope you get to see someone today. There is still this problem at weekends when you need to see a GP. Finger crossed for you, it's a scary time.

Reluctantnympho · 14/02/2016 10:54

oriana I really hope you get seen and that you are ok

OrianaBanana · 14/02/2016 10:58

I went to OOH clinic in the end after a call back earlier today in response to a message I left with midwives yesterday. While here I got a v grumpy GP calling from 111 - when I said I'd come here as advised by the midwife team she said, 'Well they're not going to do anything, are they?'

Afreshstartplease · 14/02/2016 12:27

Hope all is OK Oriana , GP sounds a right cow 🐮

woodpigeon123 · 14/02/2016 12:47
