Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

havetobe how are you finding this pregnancy? I feel like I'm getting massive already

Also putting off telling people

Once you get past 2 DC no one seems to say congratulations, some even ask why

Figgygal · 12/02/2016 07:15

Was awake between 3 and about half 4 this morning am full of nasty cold even worse than yesterday, ds started coughing at 5 as he's got it too so woke up again then he bounded in to our room at quarter to 7 god I'm glad I've no work today.

Allhallowseve · 12/02/2016 07:15

Hope all is ok and settled down bluesky
afreshstart that's funny I wasn't sure I would be ready for number 2 as ds1 has always been a bad sleeper . He's 18 months now . Can I ask how is the transition from 1 dc to 2 to those on dc3 or more?

OrianaBanana · 12/02/2016 07:21

Morning everyone! My EDD is October 23rd which means I'm not 4 weeks yet (can that be right?? Feels like ages). I've had some bleeding but it seems to have stopped. I'd been having blood tests as my hormones were at low levels and we'd been trying for a year but I'm hoping this is a sticky one! Whilst trying not to get too excited and buy nursery furniture...

We have one DS (he's 4) and I have only told a few friends who knew we were trying - embarrassed to tell my mum and dad as they'll know I had sex again Blush Besides I don't want to worry them with the bleeding.

Very sore nipples here too!!

xxx

SmwarbFirst · 12/02/2016 07:28

Hi guys. EDD 8th October. Just coming up to 6 weeks - but today symptoms seem to have slowdown/stopped. Breasts aren't as tender and bloating isn't there as much as it as been. All I've had is some light brown discharge when I pee. No pain or anything. Is this normal at this stage or should I be worried ?

Afreshstartplease · 12/02/2016 07:44

1-2 was interesting as DC2 was and still is a handful

2-3 much easier, older two one at school and one about two start they understood babies needs and as they are very close they are great at entertaining each other

Unsure how 3-4 will go as DC3 is a big needy mummies girl and I don't know if she will want to share, however she loves babies

bananafish81 · 12/02/2016 07:56

smwarb I have no idea what is normal and what isn't as I've never been pregnant before, but the sore boobs seem to have abated and don't really have any real symptoms per se - although on Mon I was panicking about lack of symptoms, and my third blood test came back having gone shooting up, so apparently rising hCG levels doesn't necessarily equal more symptoms!!

Would bloody love a bit more of a sign to know something is going on in there. Although rationally I know symptoms doesn't equal baby (as you can still have symptoms with a blighted ovum) in my head at least I would feel a bit more pregnant than I do! I'm EDD 10th Oct so 5+4

summeraupair · 12/02/2016 08:48

Hello, can I join in?

summeraupair, 4+4, apparently due October 17th.

Been TTC #1 for 18 months, thought I was out again when period started on Friday... But it all dried up on Saturday/Sunday when I usually have 6-7 days of hell. BFP turned up on Monday! I've been maniacally testing since then and they've all been positive. I was kind of reassured yesterday when the First Response One Step was clearly positive because apparently that's not a massively sensitive one and the line was clearer than on my earlier FRERs!

I went to my GP yesterday because I've got thyroid issues, and she bumped my dosage up right away and booked me in for a blood test next week. Ringing the midwife today to book in which makes it all seem very real...

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 12/02/2016 09:34

Fresh are you me in a parallel universe?

My dd1 was an absolute text book baby and still is a very easy child, ds1 was extremely wilful and hard work (I often say the first year of going from 1-2 was like descending into hell). Dd2 is also a mummy's girl, proper madam with it and is obsessed with babies!
I would say to those expecting #2 that after the first year I looked back and couldn't remember why I found it so hard. It seemed such a doddle I thought #3 was a really good idea and am obviously as deluded about #4!

I am struggling a bit with the fatigue as am already rushing around on school runs and can't get any naps during the day. I am lucky enough to be self employed so having a few weeks off but will be a struggleonce I am working again. Wish I could go to sleep and wake up at 12 weeks.

MrBensMrs · 12/02/2016 09:40

Hello new ladies Smile
I am 6 weeks today!! Symptoms mostly consist of this sodding cough and cold waking me up and waking up DH too Angry

Alwaysinahurrynow · 12/02/2016 09:57

I'm definitely the same on going from DS1 to DS2 in that I did wonder what I did all day, but DS1 had reflux and wasn't a great sleeper, so not comparing apples with apples. #3 is due bang between DS2's September birthday and DS1's October birthday, so will have 3 under 4 for a couple of weeks and will have had another section, so poor DS1's birthday might be a bit low key this year, whereas when DS2 was born, I made a 3D Thomas cake for his birthday 6 weeks after a section!

Grumpelstiltskin · 12/02/2016 09:59

Hey everyone, happy Friday! 6 weeks today here and, like some of you, symptoms seem to have dissipated over the last couple of days- boobs not sore today, am sleeping better and bloating has gone. Of course, rather than enjoying feeling ok, am getting anxious about it (hooray for being able to do my jeans up again, though!)
*
Smwarb as banana* says, symptoms can sometimes come and go and a bit of brown spotting, so I've read, is often nothing to worry about, especially if there's only a little. We seem to be quite similar in how we're feeling at the moment! Hope you're ok.
I'm attempting to have the mantra of 'today I am pregnant' which I used to find incredibly twee and annoying, but now rather like its day-to-day way of thinking.

Bluesky also hoping things are ok with you and it's just one of those pregnancy things.

Waves to everyone else!

wondermoose · 12/02/2016 10:41

I've just been to the gp because I spent all night waking up hot and sweaty, I've been shivery all week so I was a bit worried, seems to think it's just a virus, might be masking any of my pg symptoms I guess,
Have called the mw and am waiting for a call back,
I'm feeling very nervous all of a sudden 😕

I'm hoping I'm more prepared going from 1 to 2, ds has terrible reflux and cmpi so his first 7 months were an awful sleep deprived mess, I was in such denial and so unprepared for ds! Lol :)

Blueskygirl30 · 12/02/2016 11:00

Smwarb my EDD is also 8 October, 6 weeks tomorrow. The only symptom I've had is sore boobs, which comes and goes and needing to pee a lot, which is still here. Maybe TMI but I noticed some pink yesterday on toilet paper but that stopped quickly and has been a small amount of brown since then. I'm waiting for a callback from the midwife. I did another test today on clear blue and it came back 3+ which cheered me up slightly. I've got a scan booked on Monday so I'll know either way then. Even if it's all going wrong there's nothing I can do about it but I'm trying to remain semi-optimistic for now.

SmwarbFirst · 12/02/2016 11:36

Blueskygirl.

Omg I could have written your post myself I am same ! Even with the doing another clear blue test today and getting 3+. I don't know how I can contact my midwive cos I am still waiting for a letter with my booking in app. I haven't had any bleeding so I am trying to remain positive just think I need a scan to ease my worries maybe. Is this your first btw ? X

goldenpineapple · 12/02/2016 11:38

summer I'm just one day ahead of you - EDD October 18th!
Can't imagine how thrilling it is to have a BFP after 18 months - we'd only been trying for 5 and it already felt like forever. Massive congrats!

Blue fx for you for Monday, hope the midwife can offer some reassurance. i'm totally new to all this, but it seems a little bleeding in early pregnancy is normal- although i can imagine its scary nonetheless.

wonder hope the midwife can reassure you too - hormones all the over the place + nasty virus isn't a very nice combo at all - hope you're managing to get lots of rest.

This thread moves so fast I can't keep up! Today I have had salt and vinegar crisps and peppermint tea for breakfast.... if I'm this nauseous at 4+5 does it mean I'm going to be stuck with it?! Also keep waking up at 4am, needing to wee, and not being able to get back to sleep - which is fine this week as I'm on annual leave so can snooze in the daytime but bit worried about being back to work! Feel ridiculously exhausted already.

Northernlight22 · 12/02/2016 11:46

12 week scan letter arrived today - 29th March.

Suddenly very real, although I'll have an early scan before that because of the loss last time x

summeraupair · 12/02/2016 13:11

goldenpineapple Thank you, it really is - and terrifying too, I just find it really hard to believe I can get through the next 12 weeks without something going wrong. Trying for the positive thinking!

By the way if anyone's as paranoid as me and keeps peeing on sticks 'just to check', Debenhams is doing CB Digital (the one with the weeks), double packs for a fiver!! At least they are in the Manchester city centre one, might just be that they have a close-dated batch or something but could be worth a look.

wondermoose · 12/02/2016 13:34

Ooh I work I Manchester summer :)

Blueskygirl30 · 12/02/2016 13:46

Smwarb this is my third pregnancy but the first was ectopic and second was mc at 4-5 weeks. I've got the early scan booked already due to the potential for another ectopic, although I don't think this on is ectopic due to the fact that my hcg levels seem to be going up more normally, going only on the home pregnancy tests. If the midwife calls back I'll let you know what she says. I'm struggling to be hopeful at the moment for some reason.

Georgina4 · 12/02/2016 13:52

Ohh, maybe a daft question summeraupair but which department in Debenhams are the pregnancy test offer in? My DH works nearby so may send him to get some! Smile

summeraupair · 12/02/2016 14:03

They were up in the Mothercare bit, right by all the nursing bras!

Figgygal · 12/02/2016 14:32

I have tempted fate today by picking this up in boots

Thank you summeraupair!

fish88 · 12/02/2016 15:57

Wow, this thread moves so quickly! Turns out morning sickness isn't starting, I've actually got a sickness and diarrhoea bug Envy But after running out to be sick at work all my colleagues are asking if I'm pregnant.
