Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

Welcome fresh

5k run done!

LisaTheGreek · 10/02/2016 21:57

Thanks Merkin, that's really helpful x

Bluecarrot · 10/02/2016 22:26

wondermoose I'm also a little heavier than I'd like ( but still 2lbs lighter than last preg starting weight!) and determined not to pile it on. I've been at slimming world for last wee while and plan to stick with it for at least the next 12 weeks. Hope I can stay focused! Ive done ok in the 4 days since I tested ( only 4 days?! Feels like I've been keeping this secret FOREVER!!!)
I'm going to do more research on what the optimal diet is.
I've got my fitness pal app and going to adjust it to pregnancy guidelines for nutrients and see if I can meet them.

Trying to cut out all sweeteners ( dilute juice been hardest!) and caffeine.

Bluecarrot · 10/02/2016 22:28

Also, I'm in the insomnia crew. Drifting off late and waking early but too tired to drag myself out of bed!

KaybeeL · 10/02/2016 23:18

Hello!
I'm new. Been lurking but decked I need to post! Got my bfp on Sunday. A bit of a surprise as we hadn't been trying long. I'm finding it really hard to be excited as I am so terrified something will go wrong. It's our first pregnancy and my DH is absolutely ecstatic as I should be!!!

I am just desperate for it to be 12 weeks already (Im 5+4)

Anyway - It's lovely reading other people stories on here! Tara for now
Xx

KaybeeL · 10/02/2016 23:19

*decided - stupid autocorrect!

wetsnow · 11/02/2016 03:38

Joining insomnia crew... ugh...

TheCake · 11/02/2016 03:57

wetsnow me too... Also I am impressed with your run. I was doing so much running before my bfp. In fact I unknowingly ran a 1:34 half marathon while pregnant! However, I've only been out once since I found out and I found it really hard going, and at the moment all I want to do is eat and sleep.... Hoping with half term next week my running mojo will return Smile

Shropitlikeitshot · 11/02/2016 03:58

Been awake since two. I miss sleep so much. Have never had a problem sleeping before.

Gigglebert · 11/02/2016 04:20

Also been up for about an hour! Hope this doesn't mean we are cooking babies who will be terrible sleepers!

IndiX · 11/02/2016 05:33

Bit late but can I join to insomnia gang too? Went for a wee, now can't sleep Sad

wetsnow · 11/02/2016 06:07

Managed to nod off then woken 6am by dd singing 'let it go' full volume from her cot.

cake I celebrated by eating a bag of wispa bites.... I was getting up to 7.5k pre pregnancy. We were aiming for a 10k by may. Don't think it will happen now.

Allhallowseve · 11/02/2016 06:11

Welcome kaybeel and congratulations! 5+4 here too am absolutely desperate for it to be 12 weeks too it can't come soon enough. I haven't told anyone yet , dh has told his best friend.

SimileMilly · 11/02/2016 06:11

I'm in the insomnia crew but try not to look at my phone in the middle of the night (learned this when DD was wee and never slept) in my head it's about 7.30am and I should be in the shower. It's only 6!! If I was at home id get up but we stayed over at my parents house last night and the whole house is still asleep.

Penguinpattering · 11/02/2016 07:23

Hello ladies,

This first ever MN post I've been a lurker for far too long! I have just had my bfp and my due date would be approximately 20th Oct I should be approximately 4 weeks! Very scared and excited at the same time, we've had a chemical before and this would be our 1st SmileSmile.

Northernlight22 · 11/02/2016 07:30

Gosh this moves fast! I was lying there wide awake at 4 last night! Only drifted off again at 6 and then husbands alarm went off!

My headaches and hip pains have subsided now, but that meant I got really upset and anxious last night. I had a mc last year and im desperately trying hard to be positive but can't help knicker watching and over analysing symptoms (or lack of!)

Midwife appt next week (6weeks because of loss last time) and should be an early scan shortly afterwards.

I've had to tell a few people but nothing like last time! I get a bit upset saying it out loud as it just reminds me I've been there before and I've had to do the bad news too.

I sound really negative today 🙈

Blueskygirl30 · 11/02/2016 07:43

Northern I'm the same, my losses have been early on and I have passed the point of my mc now but am still anxious. I've had to tell some people at work but when they congratulate me I don't want them to, I intrupt them and tell I'm still super early on. My scan is on Monday (6+2) and the closer I get the more nervous I am. I've not really had any proper symptoms except sore boobs, and that comes and goes! Massively bloated today but I think that'll have something to do with the huge pub meal I scoffed last night!

melonribena · 11/02/2016 08:34

Morning everyone! Congratulations and welcome penguin!

MrBensMrs · 11/02/2016 09:21

Hi penguin Good positive thoughts for northern and bluesky

melonribena · 11/02/2016 09:58

Northern, and Blue, fingers crossed for you both

mrsamerican · 11/02/2016 10:37

Well, it's been a fun few days. I had such a great day on Saturday that I was sure the HG from last pregnancy had been avoided. Then the barfing started Sunday. And yesterday I fainted twice. Yuck. At least my 4yo was there to hold my head.

I didn't have this fainting stuff last time. Anyone have this? GP wasn't worried about it except the falling.

MsFiremanSam · 11/02/2016 10:41

Really hard keeping up with this thread! 😀
Congratulations to everyone and especially the first timers. I don't know whether I'm any less worried third time - I know too much about what can go wrong. Trying not to dwell though and taking it a day at a time.
5+6 today and the sickness has really kicked in. This is the hardest bit I think - can't even get any sympathy for feeling so awful! Necking crisps and bread. Woman in my office wears hideous strong perfume which is making me even more nauseous too😷

MsFiremanSam · 11/02/2016 10:43

Mrsamerican just read your post and feel bad for complaining now! Poor you, that sounds awful. 💐

wondermoose · 11/02/2016 11:51

Aww mrsamerican that's really tough! Hope it improves soon!

msfiremansam I'm with you on the worry, really thought 2nd time I'd be quite chilled but I keep thinking about absolutely everything that could go wrong and getting in a flap!

MrBensMrs · 11/02/2016 12:36

Gosh mrsamerican that sounds scary!!

MsFireman I'm 5+6 today!! Felt a bit nauseous in the car on the way to work and generally feeling hot today but no real sickness - YET! I am grazing like it's going out of fashion though Blush
