Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

Wonder. Thanks! Can't abide lucozade so fingers crossed they have another option! ;-)

Vivi: I'm planning to hold off telling work as long as I can. But that's mainly because I'm going for a promotion and I can't help but think it would harm my chances - however well-intentioned the recruiting manager is, subconsciously they won't want to go with the option that means filling the post again in 8 months time!!

MrBen I think the insomnia is the worst. I'm usually such a sound sleeper and the "waking up evry hour" malarkey is getting old very quickly!!

Reluctantnympho · 09/02/2016 20:51

I had the gtt last time as my previous dd was 9lb 4. I'm fully expecting to have it again this time. Sent dh out to get me some fanta today and I said make sure it's not diet fanta... He replied don't get fattening yourself up too soon! Angry then I said that I didn't think we would be able to keep it a secret until 12 weeks as I'm bound to show before then (it is my 5th baby!) his lovely reply was... Well just suck in Angry Mr sensitive he is not!!!
I felt a bit stressed today, apart from feeling tired (and with 4 dc and a job I always feel tired) I haven't had any symptoms. I went out and brought a wee stick (which is still showing positive) but I didn't have the courage to buy a digi ... I'm just so scared it will say not pregnant.

TheCake · 09/02/2016 20:53

I feel like a fraud... I've been following this thread from the start and I haven't posted yet because I have been too nervous. I've had a few early misscarriages and this is the furthest I have got with any pregnancy (I'm 6+4 today). I was going to wait until my early scan until I posted, but that is not until next Wednesday and I couldn't wait any longer! My EDD is 30th September, this will be DC1 and I live in Cheshire. I'm also another teacher! I'm meant to be doing the London Marathon in April (I'm going to defer until next year now) and this pregnancy was an accident- we decided to take a break from TTC after all of my miscarriages and I was waiting on my period to go back on the pill! I can safely say that the rhythm method does not work as contraception! :))

Just wanted to add that my heart goes out to all of the people who have had early losses. It is just awful.

And again- sorry for being a silent stalker for so long! Smile

daydream86 · 09/02/2016 21:06

got a social dilemma here! I can't decide what to do about my 30th birthday next month, I'll be exactly 10 weeks, and I've planning to go for a lovely meal with 15 or so friends and family, some of them are already egging me on about dragging me to a new gin bar and having a mega night out, I was thinking maybe it would be lovely To can announce my pregnancy at the birthday meal, a small handful of my friends already know, but some
don't. I likely won't have had my scan yet so I wouldn't be sure that everything was 100% OK. but then I'm usually a total booze hound, never known to turn down a G&T! argh what to do! was thinking maybe get an early private scan but then if something is wrong with baby (that anxiety eh!) well id have to go through my 30th birthday knowing that. please tell me
I'm over thinking this!

Figgygal · 09/02/2016 21:06

Aw welcome cake hope it all goes well for you. Welcome everyone else too

I had some diet irn bru today felt sooo naughty

BritneyBitch · 09/02/2016 21:11

Hello everyone. Just joining you all as I'm 6+2 and starting to feel excited. I have a 1 year old DD and this new addition was a happy surprise.

Blueskygirl30 · 09/02/2016 21:14

Leo if you're still around then I'm so sorry. I know exactly how it feels from my own losses.

reluctant my gosh, that's the sort of thing my DH comes out with! Hopefully, like my DH, he didn't mean it in a horrible way. However, he should definitely pay for that! Wink

5+3 here and all I have is super sore boobs. I was in training all day today and had a huge headache by the end of the day. I had a massive craving for milk so bought a pint of semi-skimmed and chugged it in my hotel room. My BMI is 31, really annoyed at myself now that I never lost the weight I wanted to lose before getting pregnant again! Blush

Welcome to all the new posters here!!

fairgroundsnack · 09/02/2016 21:17

daydream I would book yourself in for a private scan before your 30th party and then announce it there!

SimileMilly · 09/02/2016 21:21

Hi to all the new posters Smile

Nausea seems to be really limited to the morning here, it was 24/7 with DD. I woke up this morning though and didn't feel pregnant at all - I got myself properly flustered but then the nausea hit this afternoon and my boobs ached most of the afternoon. I can't believe how anxious I am. 1 more week and I'll be further than MCs and a week on Sunday until my early scan. I am literally wishing the days away!

MsFiremanSam · 09/02/2016 21:23

Hi everyone,
Can I join please?
I'm 5+3 with DC 3. My others are 5 and 2. This was sort of planned in that we'd discussed a third, but it happened literally first try so I'm a bit 😮!
Symptoms have kicked in big time today - feeling really sick and tired.

fish88 · 09/02/2016 21:24

I'm having the opposite issue. I want my pregnancy to be midwife led this time, not consultant led but my bmi is too low. Even though I got discharged before the birth, they still wanted to continuously monitor me until I had a bit of a strop Blush

soundsystem · 09/02/2016 21:24

kitty do you not have to have the GTT at all this time round then? I'm so jealous! Where I am everyone has to have it. I'm taking my own chiled Lucozade this time for sure and trying not to puke it up all over the hospital car park

TheCake · 09/02/2016 21:27

daydream86 I would probably pay for a private scan if I was you. You could wait a bit until you were about 8 weeks, I think if you see a heart beat then the chances of miscarrying are pretty low.

BritneyBitch · 09/02/2016 21:30

simile I had a similar experience today, was a bit upset this morning as it really felt like my symptoms had gone but they came back with a vengeance mid afternoon!

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/02/2016 21:40

fish I had to see a consultant after booking appointment last time because I am mildly asthmatic, and I saw at the appointment the midwife had also written in my notes referral because of low bmi. No mention of it to me about that! I would've argued it was nonsense. Anyway the consultant agreed I was absolutely fine and put me back on midwife led care. I wasn't actually underweight at all, bmi was just under 19 at booking. I don't know what your situation is. I put on 1lb a week throughout the first trimester. Official advice is no weight gain in 1st trimester and one gp told me off for putting on weight too fast - you can't win!! But I just wanted to give you hope that it is possible to put the weight on and it all be fine. And you can ask to speak to someone else if you aren't happy with the decisions/advice. Do you have any reason why it might be tricky for you to gain weight appropriately?

MrBensMrs · 09/02/2016 21:43

I agree daydream we have booked a private scan when I will be 7+2

My bmi is 34 so I am awaiting all the lectures and extra tests and monitoring - i have put on 2 stone in 2 years after losing loads on slimming world Blush

Walkthroughthefire · 09/02/2016 21:49

Hi, tentatively poking head in...

Got the BFP on the 2nd, EDD is the 7th Oct so 5+4. So far no real symptoms except tiredness. This is my 3rd baby.

melonribena · 09/02/2016 21:49

Mr Ben, that's my bmi too, am I likely to have extra tests and bits?! Worrying about being told off for being too fat!

Welcome britney and The cake!

MrBensMrs · 09/02/2016 22:03

melon this is my first so I am just assuming. I was waiting for the doctor to shout at me today about my weight as have been beating myself up over letting it creep up again Sad She didn't say anything so will see what the midwife says x

Congrats and hey to all the new posters! So excited to share this with everyone!! first baby giddyness

wondermoose · 09/02/2016 22:05

I can't remember what my bmi is but it's high, I lost loads of wait bf my son but put it all back on once e stopped,
The mw/consultants I saw were generally quite supportive, I had to have an anaesthetic consult too to check they could give an epidural if needed and she freaked me out completely unnecessarily! But everything else was fine, and you get extra scans which is nice :)

melonribena · 09/02/2016 22:20

Thanks ladies! You've really put my mind at rest!

Blueskygirl30 · 09/02/2016 22:46

Now I'm panicking about my weight!....must stop googling stuff!!! I also have had really itchy shins pretty much since my BFP and just googled that, one option covered in my search also included death...consulting Dr Google was a terrible idea before going to sleep!!! Blush

melonribena · 09/02/2016 22:53

Blue sky , I was just scratching my itchy shin when I read your post! How odd! I didn't realise it was a pregnancy symptom!

Lollieoftheflowera · 09/02/2016 23:38

Welcome cake. Sounds like a lovely surprise. Wishing you all the best!

daydream I would go for the scan and double up the celebration. The night could feel like a let down if you don't drink and no doubt people will cotton on if it's a change of habit.

Lollieoftheflowera · 09/02/2016 23:40

Also anyone else suffering from insomnia? Got a long day at school tomorrow and just cannot sleep. Never, ever have this problem, usually out like a light!
