OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

So I was wide awake at 3am and did a bit of googling about my bump going into a rock hard lump above to the right of my belly button. I thought it was baby sticking his bum out but it seems it's probably BH's?!?! And I thought I wasn't getting any. They're not painful just mildly uncomfortable. Who'd have thought a third timer could be so clueless lol 😂.

Gingergen2013 · 21/01/2016 08:43

May I de-lurk please? Am 37 weeks tomorrow with DC2. Have loved reading about the first arrivals, how excited everyone is and how you're all coping in the last few weeks! Like the last one, this pregnancy has been very uneventful and straightforward (for which I am very grateful!), hence I haven't felt like I've had any useful input to either Feb 2016 thread, but now want to join in the fun!
Feel like the next 3/5 weeks are going to really drag but bet they won't really! Reflexology booked next week, which will be wonderfully relaxing if nothing else!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 21/01/2016 09:05

37 weeks today 😋

monkerina · 21/01/2016 09:15

Hello to de-lurkers/returners! And great news XingXing Smile

Phoenix, I'd assumed the hard lump to the left/right of my bellybutton (he likes to spin, I imagine breakdancing) was bottom poking out too- who knew!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 21/01/2016 09:19

Calypso I had the sweats last night for the first time! I'm always hot in bed, but not sweaty. I know it can mean hormones are on the change. You get then after you have the baby and the milk comes in, you also get them after a miscarriage sadly. Hopefully in this instance it means the body is preparing for labour.

Posey01 · 21/01/2016 09:34

Yippeee Fox - that's great news about baby turning - and hope for the rest of us :)

We had our first NCT session this week - it was a lot better than I thought it would be! (we really have no clue what we're doing) and darth they suggested the frozen peas on top of baby's head and shine a torch/play music down below to help turn baby!

HandbagFan · 21/01/2016 09:40

Morning! 37+5 today and off to see the midwife later this morning. Wishful me speculates this could be the last time, but realistic me reckons I'll be there at 40 weeks and 41...

Finally settling into this may leave thing - have decided I don't need to get up with DH in the morning as I'm not going to work and it makes the day longer, but that I should be up and showered by ten. Trying to get sleep while I still can! Also finding that our shopping habits have changed already - we used to just do online orders mainly for dinners plus bread/milk but now the fridge is full of lunchtime stuff, the cupboards have biscuits and treats in them, and I've actually been going to the shop to stock up! I've only been off since last Friday but already find a mid-afternoon slot for chocolate hob nob and raspberry leaf tea time!

Pogmella · 21/01/2016 09:59

Our little girl made a surprise entrance at ten to midnight! Currently watching her sleep and wondering what on earth to do when she wakes up....

Phoenix80 · 21/01/2016 10:10

Wow congratulations Pogmella 😊💖👶🏻

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 21/01/2016 10:11

OMG congratulations Pogmella 😀😀😀

CalypsoLilt · 21/01/2016 10:19

whoknew I wake up with sweat dripping off me, so grim. And my milk is already in so wearing breastpads to bed. Sexy.

I have a hard lump in my belly too to the right of my belly button. At Christmas I told all the children it was babies bottom, turns out it's my massive fibroid!! Oops.

CalypsoLilt · 21/01/2016 10:20

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh congrats pogmella!!!! Misread your post sorry!!

Everything go ok?

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 21/01/2016 10:22

Interesting about milk already being in! When I did my recent breast feeding class it said that the placenta detaching from the uterus is what stimulates the milk coming in. But they also said that sometimes the milk is there beforehand, I have no idea why that's the case though but it could explain the night sweats! Pregnancy is confusing!!!

CalypsoLilt · 21/01/2016 10:33

whoknew right now it's colostrum, it started just before Christmas, if I don't wear breastpads I have 2 embarrassing wet patches. The best one was when I was blow drying my hair and milk just gushed all over my bump!

goodnightdarthvader1 · 21/01/2016 10:35

haquoi mind's drifting back-to-back too. I've looked at Spinning Babies and tbh really can't see anything useful. :(

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 21/01/2016 10:44

I have to say I was expecting my milk to come in early as this is baby 2 and I breast fed DS for a year with no problems. As it is my boobs are completely milk free it seems.

HandbagFan · 21/01/2016 10:45

Congratulations Pogmella! What do we do with these babies once we actually have them??? Confused

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 21/01/2016 10:55

I'm laying in the bath at the moment and getting regular pulsing sensations at the top of my vagina. I can feel the baby squirming and I've noticed I've had these sensations on and off for about a week now. Not quite as regular as this though. Anyone else have these kind of sensations?

MaisieDotes · 21/01/2016 10:58

Wow pogmella congratulations! Flowers

How did the birth go?

BlueKarou · 21/01/2016 11:04

Congrats Pogmella!!! How does it feel to be on the other side?

Rufus200 · 21/01/2016 11:04

Congrats pogmella

I had colostrum but it completely disappeared last week! My Dr had no answer and just looked confused as to why it would stop. I'm also having night sweats, not helped by puppy training pads (only waterproof thing I have) under my mattress protector. DH asked if they were incase I wet myself again Smile

Thought I was being really good and swapped chocolate for lychee, only to realise lychee is really high in sugar and nutrition pages have a warning for diabetics! No wonder I love them so much!!! Dr and I agreed I should reduce carbs before baby comes to try and reduce his risk of hypoglycaemia. Particularly as I'm going to have to pay for any medical care for him as my stupid insurance excludes any babies born with fertility drugs or medication during pregnancy. Nasty hidden small print!

IslaMann · 21/01/2016 11:17

Aww congrats Pogmella! Hope you're feeling ok.

I've been doing the last few bits of prep before my big day tomorrow. It's such an effort tho, still no nesting instinct! Just need to remember to pack my phone charger and blood sugar monitor in the morning and I'm good to go. Scary and exciting at the same time.

Phoenix80 · 21/01/2016 11:34

Good luck Isla. Are you in a morning slot?

haquoi123 · 21/01/2016 11:40

pogmella congratulations!!! So excited for you!!! :D how big is she?

handbag that is organised! I woke up this morning, had breakfast, put the washing back on and then went straight back to bed. No motivation here!

clarabellski · 21/01/2016 11:45
