OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

Congratylations pog FlowersBrew

Who has there C sectiom today or tomorrow?

NorthernChinchilla · 21/01/2016 13:07

Brilliant news pog! Take it you're doing OK? And welcome baby pogmina Smile

I'm in a bit of a ffs mood - baby has apparently, in one week, gone from totally free and measuring nearly 3 weeks under, to fully engaged and measuring 4 weeks over!! And MW told me I should have called triage and gotten myself to hospital to be assessed after the Monday night events.
Growth scan in next few days, and doubting whether baby us going to make her date!
Confused

IslaMann · 21/01/2016 13:15

I'm tomorrow newlywed.
Phoenix in the morning. I have to be there at 7, hoping I won't be too late in the morning but they've said that due to the GD I'll likely be first so I can eat as soon as possible.

madsaz76 · 21/01/2016 13:22

Hi all - signal terrible here or I would probably have been updating you through the morning.

All done and baby turned Grin

Totally irritating as lots of hanging around - they didn't really have enough space for all the activity.

Co sultan really emphasising it is painful and if I clench up it won't work etc. Begfining to think I will be a total wuss. Was actually a piece of cake surprisingly. I could feel everything. Consultant very experienced and deft.

Basically lifted baby up by bum and got it round to near transverse before touching head as she thinks putting torsion on head not safe. Needed a couple of deep breaths but not pain as such.

Felt it when she started to shift head so said "definitely going" which apparently made her day as she's never had someone aware of position before.

Serious shakes afterwards - I always get post adrenaline shakes and the terbutaline to relax doesn't help but DC didn't give a single damn and continued as usual.

Feel like I can eat and breathe now but pelvis feels odd. Turns out I am having mild contractions too (preprocedure) which I am not even aware of. I have no idea basically where I will end up but feel a bit reassured that I am not a total wuss

Waiting for a growth scan apparently and then I can escape - phew!

Pogmella that's fab news. I'm told it's a bit surreal when baby finally gets here because they don't do an awful lot. As many baby cuddles and as much sleep as you can?

madsaz76 · 21/01/2016 13:23

Oh and good luck tomorrow isla

Newlywed123 · 21/01/2016 13:56

Madsaz fantastic news, the waiting game for Labour now Smile

Good luck for your C sections tomorrow Isla I hope it goes swiftly for you Flowers

MaisieDotes · 21/01/2016 14:00

That's brilliant mad, so glad it went well.

Posey01 · 21/01/2016 14:06

Glad to hear all went well Mad :)

Posey01 · 21/01/2016 14:09

Congratulations Pog and Pogmini :) lovely news.

XingXingFox · 21/01/2016 14:15

pog that's amazing!! Congrats! Babies are starting to arrive thick and fast...there's 3 sections today and tomorrow is that right? Amazing!

mad that's brilliant news! Glad it wasn't as bad as everyone said! Good to know if this baby turns back again. Hurrah! Now posey and darth's babies need to get the memo. I'm sure they will!

It's making me really want this baby to hurry up and come. 37 weeks tomorrow but it could be another 5 weeks away, far too long!!

MaryEllen1 · 21/01/2016 14:39

Congrats pog so glad all is well and minipog is doing great.

Good luck for tomorrow isla!

Feel like I'm ages away from giving birth am 34+4 weeks and at midwife appt last week she said he is head down but definitely not engaged yet...

Sighing · 21/01/2016 15:09

Congrats Pog!

Phoenix80 · 21/01/2016 16:10

Hopefully you're first down then Isla.

Just been for my growth scan and baby's growth has dropped off slightly so I had to wait to see the docs. They're not actually sure if it has dropped off or if it was measured/plotted wrong last time but they have to treat it as though it has slowed down so I've got another scan next Thursday. Everything else is looking ok though and he's moving fine so no mega concern.

Phoenix80 · 21/01/2016 16:32

Today's scan pic. To say how many scans I've had this is one of the better photos because usually he doesn't co operate with scans 😀. The sonographer also said he has a lot of hair. Technology is amazing. My other boys' were born with lots of hair so it's not surprising 👶🏻💙

raviolig · 21/01/2016 16:39

Congratulations Pogmella.
And same to you Mad glad baby turned ok.
I am going to the birth centre tomorrow for my 36 week appointment. The midwife at my last appt couldn't tell if baby was head up or head down so I am wondering what they are going to say tomorrow as I can't go to the midwife unit if baby is not head down tomorrow. My bump is very tight and very painful to touch but it has been for a few weeks. Makes it hurt when they try and get the position.
Wow getting close for a lot of people now. Feels like ages for me, 4 weeks until due date but I went over with the last two so midwives have said maybe +6 with this one.
Ready for it to be over now but really scared of the next bit.

RattyCatty · 21/01/2016 17:17

mad that's great news baby has turned!

pog huge congratulations! Smile

isla good luck tomorrow! Will be thinking of you!

Rufus200 · 21/01/2016 17:32

madsaz that is great that baby turned and it wasn't painful. Nice for everyone with breech babies to hear a success story!

phoenix I love that they could see your baby's hair!!! My scans have come out with completely different measurements with only 24hrs between. It is so subjective where they take the points from. I've gone from measuring 1 week behind to 1 week ahead. Something interesting that I've been told at scans is that when baby is practising its breathing it isn't ready to come out. When it stops it is used as a warning that labour may be imminent.

isla good luck for tomorrow, I will be thinking of you

CalypsoLilt · 21/01/2016 18:31

I bought some of these: www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/121847357584

They are insanely comfy and a little bit sexy even if I do say so myself!

clumsypots · 21/01/2016 19:40

pog congratulations!

isla good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you, hope you do get seen first.

mad that's great news it worked, really pleased for you.

Saw midwife today everything's all good although struggled to get on and off the bed for measurements. About to restart work for the evening, really feeling shouldn't be doing overtime at the moment but only 6 more working days left woo hoo!

Newlywed123 · 21/01/2016 20:10

Everything seems to be going so well for everyone at the moment Smile

Slightly jealous of people having babies!

haquoi123 · 22/01/2016 04:00

Ooh they're nice calypso! Can I ask, are the sizes true? I'm usually a size 10/12 but can't bear anything tight around my ribs at the mo so had to buy the large Emma Jane mat bra rather than medium (and can't bear to wear even that...)

Been up since 2, eurgh. DH and I gave up on staying awake by about 8pm last night so only myself to blame! Might try to sleep now though.

It was the 1st anniversary of ds' due date yesterday and surprisingly was a lovely day. I felt fine until I got the afternoon post: my MIL sent us a lovely card and also I'd ordered a cord tie for bubs with a matching rainbow hat, and another little matching hat for ds. It was so beautiful to see them together, my two little boys. Had a good cry, but it was a positive one. I now feel ready to give birth!

Thinking of you today isla
