I'll message you today jelly - I think I need to friend you first as I've got my privacy settings up high and I think I'm unsearchable.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 21/01/2016 09:50

Emma we always find mine down very low right above pubic bone. My little one is alway in left hand corner for some reason. Must like it there. Don't despair if you can't find it at first it's very hard first time. Rather than just moving Doppler around your tummy, when you find an area you can hear something just tilt it in all directions. Also watch you tube clips of others doing it can also help. I also find having a full bladder also helps me. Guess it also depends on what Doppler you have. I have the angel sounds one. Not the best out there but it does the job. Good luck and I really hope you find it so you will feel better. If you find what you think is yours just feel your pulse and it will confirm to you that it's yours. All the best

Lovely scans yesterday ladies.

I'm also not feeling movements, I think I've had 2 flutters in the past 3 weeks but nothing I'm sure of and not for days now. I'm 19+1. Someone at work asked me yesterday if I'm sure I'm pregnant as baby must be hiding! I can see her point, I'm a size 8 and still in my regular work trousers!

I can't wait for the scan next week, I want to make sure all is well before buying anything. I have a nursery theme idea now and I'm really excited about it!!

GrubbyWindows · 21/01/2016 10:58

Ouf, working from home today and just came over all weird, I thought I was about to faint!
Having a lie down, not sure how much work is going to get done...

Potkettleblack2 · 21/01/2016 11:15

Grubby that's happened to me a few times-it's such a weird feeling! I think it's often related to blood pressure which is usually at it's lowest mid-pregnancy.

Lovelybeano · 21/01/2016 11:40

Absolutely cream crackered again today pffffttt where's my pregnancy glow ???

Snowflake16 · 21/01/2016 11:44

Grubby it happened to me an few times between weeks 17-19. I tried to rest more and increased my protein intake and I've been fine for the past 2 weeks now.

cautiousoptimist1 · 21/01/2016 12:07

Grubby I've had the same a couple of times too but my BP has always been fine as I assumed it was that. I'm in an unusual position of my sister being a midwife and I mentioned it to her, for me it was only happening in church with all the sitting then standing and she suggested having something salty rather than sweet. I was always having cereal before I went but this week replaced it with a sausage sandwich and was fine! I did have to break it my DH that he'd probably have to get up every Sunday to cook me breakfast though!

GrubbyWindows · 21/01/2016 12:35

optimist I'm loving that solution! I just had toast this morning, I have been having eggs or something too lately, so I think that's the trick.

Thank you both! I thought mid preg low BP too, which is actually great, since I'm at risk of high BP and preeclampsia...

GrubbyWindows · 21/01/2016 12:37

I mean thank you all three!!
(beano if you find that glow do tell us where it is, it's in short supply round here... Ugh!!)

nehagarg · 21/01/2016 12:53

Wow this thread moves fast. I am travelling right now so really hard to keep up.

I am in North East London too. Not South, sorry.

About baby show. Sorry forgot who was asking but I am thinking of going. Scared first timer. Blush

Mmmmm sausage sandwich, sounds like a delicious answer to a low bp. I saw my mw today and have got a high bp, so she has ordered me to massively reduce my salt intake.

So now I'm on a low salt and low sugar diet. To me that sounds like all the good stuff has gone.

iamdivergent · 21/01/2016 14:23

I came over all faint yesterday, I thought I was going to drop. Heart was going mental, I was sweating, pale and felt so sick with black seeping into my vision. Had a sit down for 10 minutes then I felt fine!

emma85x · 21/01/2016 15:34

Hello lovely ladies! I used my doppler this morning as soon as DH walked out the door! I got the heartbeat straight away! :) HB of 154. I am sooo much happier, very relieved! So pleased I bought it as 20ws still isn't for another 2 weeks! I hope you're all having a lovely day!!

GrubbyWindows · 21/01/2016 16:43

Yes, that's me today divergent! Feeling a bit guilty for having a bit of a skive... We've all got colds, me less than DP or DS so I've been picking up slack and am pretty knackered.

So as you are feeling calmer Emma!!

LaPharisienne I refuse to believe it is just you and me in SE postcodes!!! Not sure what distinguishing features I can look out for to spot you- a tower??? Do you live in the crystal palace transmitter??? Not sure my grubby windows will stand out among the competition in grubby London...

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 21/01/2016 16:49

That's fantastic Emma so pleased for you. It is so reassuring to hear isn't it. I'm still waiting for my 20 week scan too. Mine is 1st feb

GrubbyWindows · 21/01/2016 16:52

So GLAD you are feeling calmer emma (not as!)

MollieRos · 21/01/2016 17:36

Glad you're feeling reassured Emma

Sorry to the people who've been feeling faint- never good! But sausage sandwiches sound like a pretty delicious solution... I might have to try that myself even though I haven't been feeing faint, just in the interests of warding off any potential fainting you understand Grin

LaPharisienne · 21/01/2016 18:19

You can spot me by my immense girth GrubbyWindows ;) Girth has no connection to the name although I suppose it could imply a wine/ white bread binge... Lol at living in the crystal palace transmitter though!!!

I had to laugh at a message I saw on this site the other day (might even have been this thread) saying that no-one believed the poster was pregnant because she's still in her size 8 skinny jeans... I, otoh, have to walk forwards because if I walk backwards that funny beep starts. And I still have five and a half months to go!

Do you know where you'll have your baby?

emma85x · 21/01/2016 18:27

Just dropping in to say... You ladies are wonderful! Love this group! Grin

Rosi393 · 21/01/2016 20:52

I just had my private scan this evening and it's a boy! Was great seeing baby again. It's so reassuring.

mrsmugoo · 21/01/2016 20:56

Congrats Rosi!

emma85x · 21/01/2016 21:35

Congratulations Rosi!

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 21/01/2016 21:45

Congratulations Rosi

Osirus · 21/01/2016 22:06

Congratulations to everyone on their scans!
