Lovely scans today. I'm so jealous, mines not till over two weeks away after baby was naughty last week and we could see anything. Rubbish.

Emma - try not to worry. It's still really early and you may have an anterior placenta. I do, and at 20 weeks feel some movement quite low and to the sides but nothing like I did with my last ds. And its normal not to have regular movement till about 24 weeks. It's a touch time, I agree.

Weepants143 · 20/01/2016 18:35

Lovely scans today ladies - love how clear they are!! Counting down days to mine...12 to go! Emma I'm 18+3 and haven't had many flutters either. I had a similar day of feeling down and worried about it yesterday. I took myself to bed super early and felt much better this morning - think I was just worrying loads because I was hormonal and knackered. Like others say, try not to worry. I know it's easier said than done xx

laughingGnomette · 20/01/2016 18:36

biking - oh poor boy! Fingers crossed for you and DS. I've got another boy on the way and I'm dreading going through it all again!!

LaPharisienne - I'm London but North I'm afraid!

emma - please don't stress!

mrsmugoo · 20/01/2016 18:39

Still only the tiniest of pokes and prods here at 20+1 with an anterior placenta. I was watching my tummy move from the outside this point last time!

Dharling · 20/01/2016 18:46

So my device won't let me edit the sheet. First child due 07/06, team blue! I'm 28 and based in Hertfordshire. How exciting we are half way through!!!

LaPharisienne · 20/01/2016 18:50

Looks like it is just the two of us! I'll look out for your grubby Windows I guess Smile

LouLou030783 · 20/01/2016 19:06

My scans just over 2 weeks away still feels forever away

Belleboo23 · 20/01/2016 19:42

Had our 3d gender scan was so lovely, we are team pink!! She was stubborn at first proper little lady with her legs crossed! Lots of wiggling and we finally got a look, saw her making chewing type movements with her mouth and looked like she was boxing...getting ready to sort big brother out!! Dd is thrilled but ds was slightly disappointed but he's that laid back he wasn't really that bothered

mrsmugoo · 20/01/2016 19:57

Lovely pictures Belle!

dollydaydream84 · 20/01/2016 20:05

Gorgeous photos today everyone and a real influx of team pink! Still 3 more weeks until my scan. I too am impatient and worried that the kicks came at 16 weeks and then went, trying not to worry but its such a long wait between scans. Roll on feet in the ribs!

Eastend2015 · 20/01/2016 20:11

I'm East London (hence the name!) but north of the river!

Eastend2015 · 20/01/2016 20:14

P.s Lovely pics Belle!

MollieRos · 20/01/2016 20:30

Lots more lovely scans Smile

I have an anterior placenta but I feel like I've felt lots of movement. So I wonder what it would've felt like if my placenta was in a different position. I've been feeling very strange kicks the last few days, (TMI coming up...) it feels like he's kicking my cervix, and it sends kind of vibrations down my vagina Blush. It feels so odd! Has anyone else had this?

carrie1008 · 20/01/2016 20:34

Thanks for all the sling carrycot advice ladies! Lovely scan pics too Smile

emma85x · 20/01/2016 21:27

Wow. Lots if team pink! Congratulations on the gorgeous scans!!!

Thanks for all the reassurance ladies. Much appreciated. The doppler has arrived but is sitting in it's box in the hall. I'm an emotional wreck today, can't stop crying so DH said best not to use it tonight as not in the right frame of mind if we can't find heartbeat first time. Good advice from DH as always. Hate to say it but he is always right. My sorry nipples and I are in bed now... Early night to get these emotions in check!

Regarding using the doppler, do you find it easy to distinguish between your hb and baby's hb? Is there a 'knack' to using one as such?

emma85x · 20/01/2016 21:28

Hahaha I meant sore nipples not sorry nipples!! Grin

Belleboo23 · 20/01/2016 21:49

Thanks everyone it was a lovely experience.

Emma....I struggled at first. Lay down and use plenty of gel and you may have to aim down a bit because baby is still small. Babies heart beat is very fast compared to ours also I found the head phones it came with rubbish so used dh's and it works perfectly I couldn't hear a thing and got very ratty and emotional over it!!

Rose2806 · 20/01/2016 22:16

Hi everyone!

Have been away for a little while and just catching up, so great to hear about all the lovely scans! 18+3 here, nausea finally gone in the last 10 days or so, bump had also started appearing as well! Heard the heart beat with the midwife at 17 weeks, haven't felt anything yet though, try not to worry too much Emma I think it's still very normal not to.

Is anyone else getting the odd weird tight feeling high up in the abdomen around their stomach area, especially when they cough? I also feel like I get full and bloated more easily at the moment as well, can space really be that restricted in there already?!

Scan isn't until 21 weeks as we are on holiday when I turn 20, which was pretty bad planning! Frustrating as it feels like ages!

emma85x · 21/01/2016 02:09

Thanks Belle really useful advice! It's 2am and I'm stopping myself from using it now!! Will try in the morning. Thank you. Thanks to Rose also and everyone else for their reassurance. Must. Toughen. Up!! #EmotionalRollercoaster!! I hope you're all sleeping well.

jbiscuits · 21/01/2016 07:06

Glad to hear all of yesterday's good scan news!

I had a rubbish night's sleep here because of hip pain, and think I kept DH up tossing and turning too. Fortunately I've got nothing planned for today in a bid to rest more, but not yet sure how I'm going to keep the toddler entertained all day whilst I'm stuck to the sofa. Maybe I should think of it as practice for when I'm stuck feeding baby for ages!

BiffleRoo · 21/01/2016 07:46

mollie I've had the same. Low down vibrations but at my scan yesterday I was told she was head down in my pelvis so I'm not surprised. 19+6 now and getting far more movements although still quite gentle and sporadic.

bikingintherain · 21/01/2016 08:36

I am getting some movements but quite sporadically. When I had my scan it was really interesting that I could see the baby was kicking and moving yet I didn't feel anything. And yet there has been one or two times you could just about feel the movements from the outside.

JellyBaby26 · 21/01/2016 08:40

Sorry it's me who did the group! I'll just check my messages ...sorry!!!

JellyBaby26 · 21/01/2016 08:50

I'm still not really feeling anything...it's so wierd seeing them move on the screen but not being able to feel it normally. Have felt a few taps on my cervix but he is head down so that's probably where I'm going to feel most of my movements.

All messages and requests sent now!

carrie1008 · 21/01/2016 09:26

I thought I felt some movements around 16 weeks, but nothing since...been using my doppler a couple times a week though so I know baby is fine in there...I'd just like to get some proper movements, I'm so impatient!!
