emma - great news!! You'll be able to sleep soundly tonight now :)

After a burst of girls to start with, the boys seem to be taking over!!

The hospital keep asking me to do repeat urine samples due to the previous one being "inconclusive". I've just been asked for another which will be a repeat of a repeat of repeat! It's a nightmare having to get to the hospital over and over again. Just make your mind up, do I have a UTI or not?!!

"You don't look fat anymore, you look pregnant" THANKS WORK COLLEAGUE

Wonderful scan news emma!

AltCarbon · 04/02/2016 16:41

Hi all and congratulations Emma! What a lovely scan pic. Smile I had my scan today too but baby was not being at all co-operative and was hidden deep in my pelvis so although we got a few measurements (which looked good) I have to go back for the rest of the checks.

Also (and I know it's silly) they couldn't get any pictures so I was sad that we couldn't bring a picture home for family and friends. I have to be sensible though and be greatful that they found nothing was wrong as I know the whole purpose of the 20 week scan is to check the baby's health. And on the plus side I'll get to see baby again soon.

Think I'm just being grumpy as sickness has returned with a vengeance and I haven't been able to eat/drink since yesterday afternoon.

strawberrypenguin · 04/02/2016 16:55

Sorry your feeling rubbish carbon
I didn't get any pictures from my 20 week either but to be honest we were so relived everything looked fine (lot of worrying scans with dc1) that I really don't care!
You'll likely get some at the re-scan anyway. Hope baby behaves next time!

Violet88 · 04/02/2016 20:54

Congratulations on all the brilliant scan results an thanks for the well wishes. I am fully recovered now after the fall an been very careful. Baby is fine too, have been regularly checking in on him with my Doppler for my own peace of mind though. Be safe all xx

Belleboo23 · 04/02/2016 20:57

Congrats on the scans from the last couple of days!
Who was it said they had a chicco next to me crib I was looking at the bedding o mothercare because it has 20% off bedding but I'm unsure if there are fitted sheets that fit it from there..any advice!!

JellyBaby26 · 04/02/2016 21:00

I have a next to me.

I think you can get special sheets for it but I just put a cotbed or travel cot sheet on and tuck it right down, and is perfect!

I would consider something for between mattress and sheet though. Some find it hard. We personally didn't with dd but may consider it if this one finds it uncomfortable as a newborn

Belvedere · 05/02/2016 07:08

I've just bought a second hand next to me. The sheets I've got are a little big but tuck in just fine.

This baby keeps waking me up at 6.30am with hiccups! So sweet.

BiffleRoo · 05/02/2016 08:04

Anyone else got a lazy baby? She doesn't seem to move much at all and it really worries me some days. I'm back to throwing up every morning now too which I could really do without.

How is everyone else doing? I really struggle to follow the thread so dip in and out.

LouLou030783 · 05/02/2016 08:23

Biffle I'm the same have been sick all week again (except this morning) and baby seems to go through sprouts of moving then barely doing a thing however I think midwives say they aren't in an established pattern until around week 25?

Eastend2015 · 05/02/2016 08:47

Yep Loulou same here- most active after food and in the evenings. Struggling with another cold which is really frustrating and I change jobs in 2 weeks so feel guilty taking time off sick when I had almost a week off for a cold not long ago. One of our cats woke me up early this morning trying to sleep on the bump. I gently tried pushing her off And rolling over but then she just climbed onto my hip instead. We went through this process several times between 5.30 and 7.30 and now I feel queasy again 😓

Torfhinn · 05/02/2016 08:57

I had a couple of almighty thumps from baby last night, actually made me cry out! Don't remember painful kicks with ds Shock

I was going to get a bog standard crib for this one but saw the next to me in JL and thought it was lovely. Thinking about splashing out for a new one Smile

Sorry to those still suffering with nausea Flowers

Belleboo23 · 05/02/2016 09:26

Thanks for advice on the sheets for the chicco bed, bit worried about the mattress though wonder what you could get to put in to make it softer but still safe.

Kicks very random here aswell but I noticed yesterday they seem to be getting higher up nearer my belly button.

Scan day for me today but not till later this afternoon Smile

Eastend2015 · 05/02/2016 09:46

Good luck Belle!

Eastend2015 · 05/02/2016 09:57

P.s re Chicco, others have said the sleepyhead fits in and I guess would make it softer? It's another expense but if it allows them to settle easier then could be worth it!

emma85x · 05/02/2016 10:03

Biffle Do you have an anterior placenta? I hardly feel anything but he was moving around like crazy during the scan. Sonographer said it's very normal not to feel that much at this stage.

Belle Good luck with your scan today! Let us know how you get on.

nehagarg · 05/02/2016 10:06

Good luck Belle

I am planning to go with a full size cot and a sleepyhead. Will put the sleepyhead in the cot, the first few months so the baby doesnt look so lost in the huge cot Smile ... Do really love the look of the next to me though. They are adorable.

DH had lots of fun feeling the baby kick last night. First proper kicks he has felt so he was very excited and talking to the baby until I fell asleep. lol.

Biffle, the only movements I feel are when I am relaxed and lying in bed. And I am 23+4 weeks. And that's only just started. Wasnt feeling much even until a week ago. My midwife also said to not worry about lack of movements until about week 26 since there is loads of room in there still and the baby can be facing your back and you wont feel his kicks then.

Something mine did while I was on holiday 2 weeks ago. Every time I exposed my belly to the sun, he'd kick at the sudden light. Then a couple of days later, all I felt was a rolling sensation in my tummy and then nothing. DH has the theory that the baby figured out that he can just roll over and face my back, away from the light, and go back to sleep. Grin

For the next to me and snuzpods a lot of people but a sleepyhead in and then have to fork out £150 or whatever it is on the grand as their babies can't sleep without it.

We will repeat what we have done this time and not buy one but may consider if he is a bad sleeper!

Eastend2015 · 05/02/2016 10:23

Haha Jelly yes that could be a problem!
