Congrats on team blue iamdivergent! I was shocked when I found out this one was a girl - took a good couple of days to sink in!!

iamdivergent · 28/01/2016 20:30

Thanks mrsmugoo

cautiousoptimist1 · 28/01/2016 20:42

Congratulations divergent and earlgrey, 2 more boys in our gang!

emma85x · 28/01/2016 20:49

A boy!! Congratulations Earlgrey I was thinking of you! Very pleased for you. DH was just talking about decorating nursery - All boy ideas... We'll see, another week to go. I think it's a girl though.

You are all so organised with nursery waiting lists. Very impressed!

LouLou030783 · 28/01/2016 20:59

Congrats on all the scans this thread moves so quickly and I only get notifications sporadically x

MollieRos · 29/01/2016 08:23

Jellybelly same here! I've started taking two lots of sandwiches to work every day so I can have the first one mid-morning (after lots of fruit snacks through the morning). I suspect I'll be enormous by the time this baby comes Grin

emma85x · 29/01/2016 08:40

Anyone else going to the baby show? I've found a voucher code online it's: MFME and gives you 20% off ordering online.

I'm excited!!

nehagarg · 29/01/2016 08:50

I am gling to be there emma. Going on the sunday for deals. Deep in research right now so we know what we want when we get there. Smile When are you planning to go?

OP posts:
emma85x · 29/01/2016 09:17

We're also going on the Sunday! Fingers crossed will get a good deal on the Bugaboo Cameleon blend and also a range of freebies!! 😀 Just bought our tickets. £11.75 each with that voucher code. Not bad! Just need to look into parking as don't fancy carrying a load of bags on the tube!

Eastend2015 · 29/01/2016 09:29

Yes I intending to go too. Thanks for the voucher code Emma!

nehagarg · 29/01/2016 09:41

I wish i had a name finalised for the pram I wanted. So far my short list has 5! lol

I think the uppababy cruz is a strong contender for us, but other possible contenders are bugaboo bee and baby zen yoyo. It needs to be light but robust enough for long walks, easily foldable, adjustable handle for my SH, narrow enough for London buses and a reasonable basket.

Coldest · 29/01/2016 10:10

The prams are a nightmare to choose from. My main criteria was weight as I live in a flat with no lift. We bought a baby jogger city mini with the carrycot.

my toddler hates it because she cant see out the side but hey ho. I wish I had bought the bugaboo bee

Talcott2007 · 29/01/2016 10:27

So my scan went really well yesterday - looks like we are having a GIRL!!! More importantly everything looks to be the right size in the right place with no anomalies! I'm so excited! Think DP is still in shock...keeps mumbling about being out numbered and how he's got not hope against two of us!

mrsmugoo · 29/01/2016 10:46

I have an uppababy cruz Eastend! I've loved it and I really hope I don't have to sell it and get a double :(

So easy to put up/down and I love storage underneath.

I'm selling my carrycot for it though as my DS never liked it - if anyone is interested?!

jellybelly85 · 29/01/2016 11:12

Mollie today I've had cereal, fruit platter and sandwiches... and that was all before 10am. I think taking 2 sandwiches routinely to work sounds sensible!! Plus fruit - fresh fruit is so good right now.

eastend emma85 nehagarg I'm planning to go to - I live in Newham right now so luckily not far for me to travel! Hope to get a bit more of a clue of what things I might need to buy...

Off to Leeds to look at a house to buy, wish me luck!

jellybelly85 · 29/01/2016 11:13

Talcott - great news about your scan!

GrubbyWindows · 29/01/2016 11:49

Yay talcott and good luck house hunting jelly!
I opted out of pram dilemma last time and just used the sling, one of the advantages bring that by the time I was buying a pushchair, I was able to borrow some from friends to try for a few days with my actual life and child. The bugaboo bee I borrowed was glorious, but I found it tricky to get upstairs to my flat on my own. Big wheels help a lot with stairs! That said, my friend just lifts her bee right up in her arms and trots up to her flat. It's also one of the few you see with newborns in and with toddlers in round here

Eastend2015 · 29/01/2016 11:56

Hooray Talcott! One of my best friends has just got the all clear at her 12 week scan, so pleased for her.

Good to hear pram opinions. Yes mrsmugoo we would've definitely be interested if that's what we go for. What colour is it? Remind me are you in London?

We have an appointment at JL to look at nursery stuff later today to try stuff out, but are waiting for the all clear at our scan on Monday and the baby show to make final decisions.

mrsmugoo · 29/01/2016 12:01

It's a black one - I'm not in London but my husband works there loads so I could have it dropped off to central London easily.

It's literally been used twice - so let me know if you go for the crux :)

nehagarg · 29/01/2016 12:06

Eastend .. I'd be interested to hear how that appointment went. I have booked one for the 8th of Feb at JL too.

Congrats Talcott .. Glad all is well Smile

Happy house hunting jelly!

Fab- Thanks- how much do you think you'd sell it for?

Eastend2015 · 29/01/2016 12:09

Will do- DH is worried about baby arriving early so wants to be all organised by April. I'm struggling to catch up TBH- given previous losses I can't quite imagine this actually happening and am astounded to hear myself chatting to nurseries/ discussing buggies lol!

nehagarg · 29/01/2016 12:13

I knoooow! Same here. After my mmc earlier last year, this one just doesnt feel like it will go the distance. Even now that I can feel him wriggling around in there.

Have a growth scan the morning of the 8th and am utterly convinced, they will find something wrong even though the sonographer wasnt particularly concerned about the size of his head at my 20 week scan but booked us in just to be safe.

Eastend2015 · 29/01/2016 12:27

Did you have a private scan as well Nehagarg? My colleague had a similar issue with the baby's head being in 10th percentile then they had a private scan where it was in the 30th and were given the all clear. I think the NHS are still keeping an eye on it though. Didn't you say it could be down to ethnicity too? Hugs, I know how worrying it is!
