Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

I will be surprised if no-one guesses tomorrow both sets of patents are coming to us for NYE and I won't be drinking, eating my favourite foods or getting in the hot tub! I have told OH if either if our Mums ask I won't lie...

RifRafia · 30/12/2015 18:43

Hi ladies, can I join you? Got a strong BFP yesterday, and am apparently due 9 Sep. I already have 2 DS, age 3 and 5. I had a MC in between the 2, so like some of you am really anxious about this happening again, but am just trying not to allow myself to focus on it. All seems a bit unreal at the minute...

sparklystars20 · 30/12/2015 18:53

Welcome rifrafia and congratulations! Thanks

shopaholic85 · 30/12/2015 18:58

nevlet, ickle and sparkly, join my 'Winter 2016 babies' thread on the TES pregnancy forum.

And congratulations to all the new people who have joined!

sparklystars20 · 30/12/2015 20:27

shopaholic I'm slightly put off by the TES one that anyone can read the posts without any form of log-in?!

shopaholic85 · 30/12/2015 20:57

No problem sparkly, though I think you can do the same on here?

icklekid · 30/12/2015 21:06

Oh gosh been a long time since I've been on TES board...since they changed it all! Will have a look though...

foxes don't feel left out!

I don't plan to tell anyone although if did miscarry would probably tell both sets of parents anyway but still...

sparklystars20 · 30/12/2015 21:14

Oh yes shopaholic!! I hadn't accessed this from a computer/web browser so assumed it needed a log in (I'm using the app on phone!) Blush

GuessHowMuch · 30/12/2015 21:48

Hi everyone, hope it's ok if I join? I'm a fellow teacher so couldn't resist joining! Definitely loving the timing with the summer hols. I'm 32 and this is DC 2 for us. I only got my BFP this afternoon and I'm already worried about mc. I remember being terrified last time and came across the mantra on Mumsnet: Today I am pregnant. I got told just to focus on that and enjoy each day. Easier said than done though. I haven't told my DH yet - I really want to surprise him at midnight tomorrow Grin

sophied1983 · 31/12/2015 08:40

Congratulations everyone!!!

Took these this morning...

It'll be my first and we've been trying for 7 months.

Cycles have been so long since stopping Pill so not sure how they will date me?!

I had a hunch as my boobs have been so sore.

I am over the moon! But also scared about all the things that can go wrong!

foxessocks · 31/12/2015 09:17

sophie I had that problem with my first and they took the date of my last period and sent for an early scan to be sure. Even though I did tell them when i thought I'd conceived they wouldn't take my word for it! (I guess they have to be sure)

Congratulations to everyone!

shopaholic85 · 31/12/2015 10:20

Congratulations sophie and GuessHowMuch!

fruityb · 31/12/2015 10:20

BFP here! Due early Sept. And I'm a teacher too lol. Been trying for a long time so just remaining calm for now but it's all very exciting. We've not told anyone yet.

mistletoeprickles · 31/12/2015 11:02

Can I join?
I got a very faint BFP on boxing day and have had darker ones since.
I'm only about 4 weeks.
It's a fertility treatment baby and I'm very apprehensive after m/c in October at 5+4 and in may at 4+3.
I'm also taking a progestrone pessary daily so everything is crossed

sparklystars20 · 31/12/2015 12:12

Congratulations to our new BFP buddies!
Had an awful night and bit of a scare so spent the morning in the docs but hopefully all seems to be ok for now Confused

rachywhite83 · 31/12/2015 12:44

Hi girls
Joining after 2 BFP'S this morning. It's bitter sweet after a mc last new years eve. Thinking I am about 6 weeks. This will be DC2. I have got a beautiful 2.5 year old little boy.

I'm also in education as a teaching assistant in a school for children with autism. Glad the final slog will be in the holidays !

Fingers crossed for sticky beans girlie's !

genome · 31/12/2015 13:26

Congratulations for all the new bfps! Hope everything is ok sparklystars
Hope everyone has a lovely sober New year! More of this Brew than this Wine! We are staying in and hopefully I will make it till 12, but i'm knackered!

foxessocks · 31/12/2015 15:08

Congratulations to all the new bfps lovely to see lots more. Hope you're ok sparkly

Happy New year to everyone. I've got a special sparkling apple juice to toast the new year Hmm me and dh had both signed up to dry January back in early dec so at least after tonight we'll be not drinking together! We've just got some nice nibbly bits for tonight as we've got 2 year old dd so we won't be going anywhere.

balalalala · 01/01/2016 07:55

Hello - this is my first post having been a lurker for a good year or so because I got a BFP on the 29th! By the online calculations that puts me due on the 2nd September. Very excited, but very nervous!

SewSlapdash · 01/01/2016 08:53

Morning all. Faintish line on a pound shop cheap test this morning. DH wants to get a "better" test to confirm, but a line is a line, right?! EDD 9 September. This will be DC2, we have a DS who is 2.3.

Congratulations all!

Nevlet · 01/01/2016 10:43

Morning all congratulations to all the new bfps over the last couple of days! Have been having af like type pains since yesterday am... Making me quite worried

GuessHowMuch · 01/01/2016 11:38

I've been having similar Nevlet. DH is telling me I got the same last time though so trying not to worry (I must have blocked it all out from last time!!). Hope everyone is having a good New Year. Anyone having to perform miracles to hide the fact they're not drinking?!

shopaholic85 · 01/01/2016 12:01

I've read that af type cramps are quite common at this stage Nevlet so don't worry. I've had the same pains on and off since bfp.

kimblesj · 01/01/2016 13:47

Can I join? Pregnant with dc4 a bit of a surprise as I have PCOS and still breast feeding but we are so happy. This will be our last baby. Feel absolutely sick as a dog, worse than ever before! Due 4th September. Am 100% certain as we only dtd once this month!
