Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

I'm up for Facebook now, but it did kill the MN thread in my last antenatal group. I found FB much easier to keep up with.

We're not telling anyone until after the scan, it's so hard! I really want to tell my mum, but I'm feeling really cautious this time. Dreading telling work though. I work for a small business and was their first ever pregnant employee, they thought mat leave was only six weeks. Confused I specialise in a specific area so can't really be replaced, and I only went back in October so they're going to be disappointed I think. I am managing to get away with just pretending to be a bit weak and pathetic to get out of lifting duties!

Still no real symptoms, finding it hard to believe it's real as last time I was so sick. Just extremely tired and bloated. Bring on the elasticated waistbands!

Sausage2229 · 25/01/2016 22:12

Hey kitkatmonster, there is an app which I use but I think it does less than the webpage.
Trans-vaginal scan was fine, really doesn't hurt or go too far up or anything. I've another on Thursday so will update then as to the experience!!
Threw up yellow bile this morning! Was lovely! Seriously no one actually tells you about all the joys of pregnancy!
I did want to be a midwife before I got pg and I still do but I see a completely different side to it all now! This group is a wealth of thoughts, feelings and emotions too, pregnancy is so complicated!
Lots to think about! Hmm

icklekid · 26/01/2016 04:02

sausage bile is very normal here although horrific so lots of sympathy.

Gp sent me to hospital due to dehydration. Managed to get some more water down (not throw it up!) before I got there so wasn't so bad when got there. Got some more drugs and got to go back on Thursday. Ended up having to pick ds up from childminders and take him to a friends who put him to sleep. Felt awful for him 😯

My midwife appointment I will be 11 weeks but if your worried globetrotter do you have midwifes number (Google baby clinic and your local area) or gp surgery to follow-up.

TheVeryHungryMummapillar · 26/01/2016 06:40

Hello ladies please can I join? I found out I'm pregnant last week so it looks like I'll just squeeze into September 2016 with my EDD somewhere around the 23rd.

My little pickle of a DD is two and also a September baby and we've been TTC this time round for eight months with an early mc last month so I'm very ready to be preggers!

I'm going to do my best to keep up with this thread but I really struggled last time so I'd definitely like to be part of a FB group too. I love the one from last time round and we're all still on there and use it loads. Do I need to ask to be added to this one?

nailsathome · 26/01/2016 06:54

Kitkat the app is fine for posting.

Hello to all the newcomers.

DS has hand, foot and mouth so would only sleep whilst being cuddled last night. There is also limited evidence that it increases the risk of mc Sad the advice is to have minimal contact.

Lilliana · 26/01/2016 07:55

I see my mw at 8 weeks and Ive had to pick up my pregnancy notes from the surgery and fill in the first few pages before I go. Has anyone else done this? With DD I got them at the 8 week app and filled them in together but I'm with a different surgery with this one.

Sausage2229 · 26/01/2016 08:04

Woke up this morning to a tiny bit of blood in my pants but nothing when I wiped. Last time it was due to a cut but there doesn't seem to be anything this morning. Is this normal? I am so worried. I think I feel less sick this morning too. Confused

Fifi10 · 26/01/2016 08:26

lilliana for my booking appt I had to sit in the waiting room and fill in the first pages of my notes before they would see me.

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 26/01/2016 08:33

sausage I think that very very often it's nothing to worry about and very common but if you're worried I'd definitely get checked out. Flowers fx for you

genome · 26/01/2016 09:11

I've made a new thread as we are about to reach the 1000 post limit! Shock

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2557173-September-2016-Thread-2-Booking-in-and-12-weeks-scans-soon?watched=1

I hope that link works!

Butterflies100 · 26/01/2016 09:27

That link works but just thought I'd post on here as want to tell Sausage that it is probably nothing to worry about but if it happens again or if you are fretting then go get checked.

My anxiety levels have reached a new high...2 nights of waking at 4am and not getting back to sleep has done me in. Morning sickness seems to have stopped but my stomach is constantly churning- not sure if this is hunger, nausea or worry. DH is trying to be lovely but he's such an optimist and I'm the opposite. Keep trying to focus on positives- saw heartbeat at 6 weeks, no bleeding, so tired, sore boobs etc etc but can't seem to shake this feeling. Going to try to wait it out until midwife appt next weds and if she's no help might get another private scan straight after (I'll be 9 weeks by then).
Sorry to burden u all with my irrational fears but I don't have anybody else to talk to. I so want to enjoy this time but I'm finding it impossible :-(

icklekid · 26/01/2016 09:36

butterflies I think the anxiety is very normal but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. If scans reassure is probably worth spending the money

sausage if it was me and definitely not from a cut or otherwise I would go and see a gp (and did!) They took my bloods 4 days apart but I would push for a scan as you would at least have instant knowledge not waiting around worrying .

Thanks for new thread will go and placemark!

Sausage2229 · 26/01/2016 09:45

Hi Thank you for the messages. I have a second scan on Thursday so if I don't bleed anymore I will wait until then. Still feeling very sick. Will move over to the other thread now! X

sarahanne4 · 26/01/2016 09:46

Morning all. Unfortunately I'll have to come off the list. I started bleeding with cramps Sunday and a scan this morning confirms mc. Good luck to you all! Sarah x

Sarah I'm so sorry and hope you are doing ok. The mc boards are amazing - full of sympathetic and knowledgable people. I found them really helpful. Look after yourself and DH/DP Flowers

So sorry sarah Flowers take care of yourself xxx

sarahanne4 · 26/01/2016 12:45

Thanks everyone for your kind messages. Unfortunately DH is abroad with work, but I'm getting on with things and trying to stay positive! It didn't take long for us to conceive , so hopefully no problems there and we'll be looking forward to a better outcome later this year. May be this was my body giving me a trial run this time. All the best to you all, you've all be lovely and even though I don't post often it's been good to read through everyone's experiences every day! Xx
