Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 43rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 42nd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Good news Pud sounds like it'll be coming out before January anyway.
Congrats Feathered, mine went well too. Had an arsey doctor doing the scan though, she had a terrible bedside manner. It's a shame I didn't get to go back to the one who did my 12 week scan, he was lurvely!

5hell · 23/12/2015 15:35

Not me kate mine are boring n a bit thoughtless but not crazy or anything

Lovely pics feathered I guess boybee Grin

KateBeckett · 23/12/2015 17:11

Scan was great! Am walking on air right now Smile we are just out celebrating so will catch up properly later x

CarrotPuff · 23/12/2015 17:14

Pud I guess being so close to Xmas it's better that Xmas pud stays put for a few more days. Boxing Day bday?

Congrats on positive scans, sorry you had a grumpy sonographer Feathered.

Just had my WC. My arm is sore. DP is out tonight with work. I might just go to bed at 8 early.

CarrotPuff · 23/12/2015 17:15

Yay Kate, great news! Get hammered on OJ tonight! Xmas Wink

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/12/2015 17:18

I had mine on Monday carrot and my arm is still sore!

Congrats kate!

Hooray for healthy scans! (but not arsey sonographers)

Urgh, 5hell hope you've got a decent towel sorted now. Really can't be doing with student style houses anymore.

Tri - your SIL's behaviour is outrageous! Glad BIL's is better! Good grief....

Sky are you back home now? Hope all's well with DP. Glad DSD's Mum is on the same page as you - one less thing to worry about for potential future tantrums. At least you have back up!

Pud hoorah for uncomfy but not painful sweeps and a low/engaged baby head! GX you might get to eat your Christmas dinner before going into labour!

Jelly....enjoy nesting. Jealous. This would be an awesome time to start mat leave. Properly dark nights/snuggling and no impetus to leave the house!

Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 17:23

Ooh yet for good scan news all round!!

Yes Carrot, we are putting a pause on all baby inducing activity for a few days to try and get past Xmas now. I am a tiny bit sad though as I had pictured the three of us being together on Xmas day. A bit silly really!!

Now contemplating the big decision; prosecco on Xmas day, mulled wine at the village party on boxing day (tradition) or save the units for pain relieving G&T in early labour. Hmmmm. I am not an alcoholic I promise but I have missed it more in the lead up to Christmas!

FeatheredTail · 23/12/2015 17:25

Honestly though, the sonographer who found my gallstones years ago was more cheerful and interested! "Ooooh goodness, YOU HAVE HUUUUGE GALLSTONES! this is really quite unbelievable! You have...FIVE! that one is...10MM!"

Whereas this sonographer was all "........" And then some "......" DH "Is that the foot?" ".....Sigh.....yeah. That's a foot".

Ah, 2:1 boy v girl guess so far (DH and 5hell - boy. Me - girl)

FeatheredTail · 23/12/2015 17:46

Massive cross post! Pud I vote prosecco on Christmas Day and a G+T before labour....surely can't hurt on the way out!??

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/12/2015 17:48

All three obviously pud.
I don't think you can give a baby FAS after 40 weeks Xmas Smile!

jellypi3 · 23/12/2015 17:49

And I'm out of there!! Grin weirdly emosh finishing work!

Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 18:16

Ha ha loving your work there Thursday!

Wohoo Jelly!

Feathered I think boy based on absolutely nothing at all. Xmas Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 23/12/2015 20:25

Agree Pud. Fuck it! It's not going to hurt, go for it.

pretzelpieces · 23/12/2015 20:27

We're home and I've got straight into bed to be reunited with my preggo pillow for half an hour before I rejoin DP for some Jessica Jones watching Xmas Grin my hips are killing meeeeee

Aw feathered that's great news. I guess girl baby! Some sonographers are quite odd aren't they. The one we had for 20 week scan seemed off her rocker.

Yay for mat leave jelly!

Sweep sounds positive pud gx you go into labour boxing day morning or have a sneeze birth before Xmas day now. Don't want to miss Xmas din dins!

Congrats on good scans fruit and kate!

Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 20:31

Ha ha you lot are a bad influence!

Enjoy snuggles with Pedro Pretzel. Try a warm bath for the hips too, I find it helps a lot.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 23/12/2015 21:23

Hi all. Congrats on good scans and humbug to stroppy sonographers.

pud good news re sweep. According to the interwebs FAS is proven to be caused by more than 6 units in one sitting or an excess of 10 units a week. If you are unsure then don't do something that compromises your values. I swap mulled wine for non alcoholic versions and drink bucks fizz instead of champagne. To be honest sometimes sparkling water in a flute is enough for me...

I am indeed at home now... family drama smoothed over. We are just sitting in the dark with the children who are trying to wind down. Santa is coming tonight to ours and they are off to grandparents with other parents tomorrow... santa has work to do yet tonight Xmas Smile

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/12/2015 21:29

Glad your drama is no more sky -

I do hope it was obvious I was being facetious about FAS.

Of course Thursday. I am one of those types that thinks that a lot of the advice given to pregnant women is actually bogus and I prefer to inform myself. One of my BFFs is a PHD in public health with a focus on treating addictions in pregnancy so I have the benefit of her amazing knowledge and I also defer to a Canadian site a lot when it comes to OTC treatments vs what is reccommended in the UK. I try not to come across as all radical but it really boils my bunny how much pregnant women are yold innacurrate information here.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 23/12/2015 22:12

Oh gosh. I am coming across all earnest and North American aren't I? Too much Christmas baking I think... have made fudge, caramels, peppermint bark and have another round of butter tarts to do tomorrow... plus wrapping as Santa Claus comes tonight here... I may be losing the plot.

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/12/2015 22:18

No no I actually agree, from a 'feminist' point if view I suppose - but it comes from a much less educated place than you! I just follow my instincts Xmas Blush

mostly I just feel like all the 'guidelines' we have here are just another stick to beat women with, but that's my look out and you're quite right when you say pud should do what she's comfortable with Xmas Smile

honeysucklejasmine · 23/12/2015 22:35

Gosh Sky, you've been busy!

My fudge has so much alcohol in it that it's not setting very firmly. So I have melted some chocolate all over the bottom of it so hopefully the pieces will hold together!

Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 23:25

10 units?! Gosh I suddenly feel a lot less guilty for my very occasional very small glass of wine! There is meant to be a really good book on pregnancy research (can't remember what it is called!) that I kept meaning to read. I am always fascinated by the real research behind what we get fed via the media (pregnancy and otherwise). I also like to do my own research, Google Scholar is my friend except when it scares me

I agree that pregnancy and labour would be treated VERY differently if men had to do it!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 24/12/2015 01:16

Don't get me wrong... it is good to be careful. Babies need the best start in life and that means a healthy mum.

jellypi3 · 24/12/2015 02:49

Man I love pregsomnia Hmm
