Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 43rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 42nd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

sky glad your DP has seen the light and apologised. That bed does sound amazing though! X

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/12/2015 21:36

It is a truly fabulous home. It has even been in design magazines. I have a little bit of life envy but then if me and ally brood lived here it wouldn't look like this...

corgi88 · 22/12/2015 21:38

lil i know, I too can be a bit of a hermit sometimes. But it works much better than I thought it would originally. Sometimes I get a bit stressed about things like bathroom cleaning but it's just small stuff really.

Hobbit19 · 22/12/2015 21:45

Glad you are getting things sorted Sky.

Jelly if you are going to carry on stretching with DP I think you need to have a really honest chat with him about going slowly. It sounds like he is making you uncomfortable (in both senses!) I do love the epi no but it is really expensive. It is worth it for me personally as I figure that even if I do tear it will be less of a tear than if I hadn't epi-noed iyswim?

Hmmm, tricky one Corgi, how comfortable are you around your lodgers? And have you worked out what money will be like on mat leave? Remember that DH can take some of your leave if that helps? (If he is eligible).

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/12/2015 21:53

sky I'm glad things are looking up - did DD go to her dads? I'd be a wreck with DS in a house like that, he is thoroughly untrust worthy!

exactly carrot huzzah for the CS! (Put an f in front of the grin to get a Santa grin ie; [f/grin]

OP posts:
CarrotPuff · 22/12/2015 21:55

The main issue is bfing if you're planning to give it a go. Would you be comfortable to bf in front of them? Yes you can go to your bedroom when baby needs a feed, but they feed a lot in the early weeks, esp in the evenings, and when your whole world turns upside down with a new baby the last thing you want is to be locked away in your bedroom for hours at a time.

jellypi3 · 22/12/2015 21:56

Yeah I told him I don't want to do it tonight (my arse is a ring of fire tonight) and I'll tell him in to go easy if we do it again.

FeatheredTail · 22/12/2015 22:36

I just mentioned peri-vag stretching to my DH and he said he'd rather "buy me the balloon vaj stretcher" if that was ok by me.

I'm slightly offended.

corgi88 · 22/12/2015 22:41

pud dh is self employed so I don't think he can take any paternity leave alas. I do love our lodgers, they are really good friends. But not sure they should be subjected to a newborn!
Thursday that's what I'm worried about really, what if I really don't cope and have two other people besides dh and ddog watching me have a meltdown?!
carrot yes planning to bf if I can. Not sure how confident I'd be about people seeing me, but we have two rooms downstairs and the kitchen so I guess I could say the study was my bf'ing room?
Not really sure but I don't want to be irrational and write the idea off completely. Hence the now overthinking! Think will have a chat with them and see how they feel about it. Rather than just chucking them out....

Watching die hard.... Ooh Christmassy!

honeysucklejasmine · 22/12/2015 23:17

Feathered I would be offended too Wink

Sky glad things are sorted. And fantastic news about DSDs DM!

DH has a cold and is very snotty so I am doing my best to avoid getting it.

My ILs have an amazing house. They are self builders, grand designs style. In fact when they were away the other day BIL & SIL snuck in for a luxury night filled with four poster beds and roll top baths! (They live in a one bed flat with a baby, so a nice change for them!)

Baby is trying to escape my uterus. Or at least it feels that way. Laying on my right again because I am a badass and it is soooo much more comfortable.

fruitlovingmonkey · 22/12/2015 23:18

Corgi maybe they will make their decision for you? I would definitely not want to live in a house with a baby, even if it belonged to a close friend! apart from my own of course
I can't offer any more useful advice because I wouldn't really like lodgers anyway. I love having friends to stay but I'm glad to get back to being antisocial when they leave.
Sounds traumatic Jelly, tell him to take it easy.
Glad things are getting sorted Sky and that the ex is on your side.
Scan tomorrow for me, the last big one then I might allow myself to believe I'm having a baby and buy some baby kit.

pretzelpieces · 22/12/2015 23:28

Lol sky good idea. pud join me in the stable and we'll start calling you Mary. It was an immaculate conception, yes? Xmas Wink

corgi I wouldn't want anyone around but that's my feeling on it. It sounds like your gut is saying no though...

Today's delight from MIL was her sulking that baby will have my surname and that we won't tell her our names we've chosen. Not a serious sulk, but she really doesn't mince her words when she's got an opinion! I'd rather that than not knowing where I stand but sometimes it's hard to divine just what she's on about as she drinks a fair bit. Finding myself glad we don't live closer!!

pretzelpieces · 22/12/2015 23:32

We're going home tomorrow evening thank goodness. Another example, she SQUEALED when I suggested she visit during half term when baby is likely to be two weeks old. It's easy to arrange her coming from that far then because we know DP will be off school, and it is pretty early on in the child's life!

I should say that generally I feel like I'm getting on better with his family and we're all getting to know each other more and that's nice. The visit is going well. Just need to vent my discomfort with her somewhere.

MollyBloomYes · 23/12/2015 04:37

Thanks so much for welcoming baby bloom everybody! The cord round the neck thing would have been a problem in natural labour because the contractions would have squeezed it and caused deceleration sod heartbeat as well as potential issues coming through birth canal. Means it may well have ended up an emergency situation again so I'm really pleased I got to have my lovely calm c section from the get go instead! After pains proving to be rather nausea making but think that's a second baby thing as well!

So many to catch up and failing miserably to remember but sky glad you've had a productive chat, pretzel sorry your mil is being an arse (you do what you need to do£ and corgi lodgers would have been really hard for me first time round as I tried to work out what the fuck I was doing with everything but I could probably Coke this time (and sort of will with the world and his wife loving at my parents house though they are family!) Hiwever, not having to worry about money during Mat leave would have been very appealing indeed so I see your quandary!

Must try and sleep, coming up to the 24 hour mark of being awake. Such a hungry boy! Who's next though baby pud it's time to come ooooooouuut!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 23/12/2015 04:56

NFMA The arserain cometh...

Ladies, I am no longer constipated Xmas Envy

corgi I think talking to them is a good idea. The extra money will come in handy and if you like being around them a baby isn't likely to change that. I felt the first few months as a new parent strangely isolating at times. You may actually appreciate the extra adult human contact.

CarrotPuff · 23/12/2015 08:07

Sky good to hear things are getting sorted between you two. Sympathies on arse rain, my bowels have been quite temperamental too lately - I can have rabbit droppings in the morning and arse rain in the afternoon.

lildottie · 23/12/2015 08:40

Morning all. I have a killer sore throat :( going to send dh to chemist to find out if there is anything useful I can have.

5hell · 23/12/2015 08:44

Oh ffs have to have a shower and wash hair with only a single hand towel for drying!!!!!!Angry the one large towel they gave us yesterday (to share) has vanished although one appeared on the floor outside the shower so looks like it was used for mopping up !!! I know this is a ridiculous first world problem but they are both nearly 30 and could really do with growing up, and there is never anything to eat except bread n cheese!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the rant, I should be more grateful for a place to stay but am also angry with myself not not packing my own towels (seems that's what I 'forgot' pretz)

5hell · 23/12/2015 08:47

Sorry to hear that lil
don't get your hopes up. ..we're not even 'allowed' stepsils! !

Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 08:47

Ooh good luck to those of you with scans today, looking forward to the pics!!

Of course it was an immaculate conception Pretzel, what kind of a woman do you think I am?! Grin Glad you are getting to know DPs family better. To be fair my in laws haven't batted an eyelid that baby is having my name, at least not in front of me anyway. But then MIL is a proper feminist so I think she gets it!

Congrats on the poo Sky but sorry about the bum rain. Hopefully your digestion will sort itself out soon!

Seeing the MW at 1pm, gx my cervix is doing something useful!

corgi88 · 23/12/2015 08:47

Thanks for the tuppenceworths viroids, really helps to get an outside perspective. Will see how the chat goes - they may well be planning to get out asap when newborn arrives anyway! Haha.
Hope everyone's bowels sort themselves out soon, arse rain is not fun! I have tended more towards constipation myself. Must eat more prunes.
molly has your DS seen his little brother yet?! Eeeee

Peenut · 23/12/2015 08:58

Eurgh. I have been struck down with the bum showers too. Weirdly, so has the dog. (I assume it's not from us eating the same thing.)

WHAT is this fricking annoying getting into bed and then feeling massively awake and twitchy thing all about? Took about three hours to go to sleep last night and then woke up needing a wee at 6am. Joy.

5hell, one towel? Sounds tres student. Do they have pot noodle on offer?

I was considering giving my second name (that I still use for work purposes) as a middle name as we are related to a well-known suffragette (distantly) ... not sure whether we'll do that though, people might think it's double-barrled and my name and DHs name sound naff as one name!

Good luck today Kate, let us know how you get on x

honeysucklejasmine · 23/12/2015 09:23

Oi Peenut, reply to my pm! I need to know which one you are so I can add you to FB group! stamps foot I did wonder about suffragette link when I saw your surname... It's not a coincidence then?

Sky sympathies to your sphincter. Flowers

Midwife this morning for my 31 week app. Can't imagine it will be very interesting. The rest of my day is sausage meat stuffing, pigs in blankets and apple crumble. All to be cooked in advance so can be re heated quickly at DBros house on Xmas day. Then I have a blood test AGAIN as apparently the bloods they took at 28 weeks haven't appeared on the system. It's just as well I am OK with needles.

KateBeckett · 23/12/2015 09:30

Jeez you've all be chatty while I've been asleep!!

5hell who are you staying with?! Any chance you can nip to the supermarket and buy some fuck off huge fluffy towels?!

sky yay for your Christmas miracle! Hopefully DSDs mum agreeing with you will be he kick up the arse he needs...

lil if you can stomach it, my grandad swears by a hot ribena with a mint tea bag, honey and a teaspoon of cider vinegar. Sounds foul but it's not that bad and seems to work for some weird reason! woo

corgi sounds tricky, part of me would like the company, and the extra money!! And part of me would want to hibernate all alone. When do you think you will chat to them about it?

pretz oh dear. I can't stand sulking!! Baby would have my surname if it wasn't for the fact dp is the last in his line with a v unusual (weird) name and it means a lot to him to carry it on...

pee I'm having my surname as a middle name, mostly because I'm not changing it when we get married (something which has caused no end of fuss from my family and friends- one of my friends asked me if it was legal!!!!! Angry )

fruit what time is your scan? Mine is at 4. I reckon they will be running late...

KateBeckett · 23/12/2015 09:52

Should not have had a lie in. So pukey. So so pukey Sad

Need food but the kitchen makes me heave... It's a daily dilemma!! Grin
