Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 43rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 42nd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

5hell you might have to patiently explain to them that a hand towel is only enough to dry the bump!! Oh dear.

corgi is your MIL due to stay over Christmas too?! Eep. We are escaping back to the South East today!

kate that's our reasoning too! DP has two younger brothers who are likely to have kids whereas I have a cousin with learning disabilities who won't and a sister who changed her name when she married so niece has BIL's surname. I'm the last of my kind!

pee my sleep is shot, but I think it's worse cause I'm away from home and seeing outlaws is always a bit brain buzzing.

34 weeks today! We're going to see star wars and then heading hoooome!!!

Good luck for sweep pud and to those with scans! Looking forward to pics (of the scans, not pud's cervix). Xmas Grin

FeatheredTail · 23/12/2015 09:57

20 week scan at 1130.....breathes I'm excited/nervous/excited again etc

Will catch up properly with the thread once it's over!

KateBeckett · 23/12/2015 10:05

Good luck for your scan feathered ! Are you finding out the flavour?

Peenut · 23/12/2015 10:29

Sorry Honey! I have just identified the location of personal messages on here! I love that there is another one of me living in London and originally from Bolivia! Ha ha!! (I do have an aunty living in London with the same name.)

Kate That cold remedy sounds defo like something a grandparent would think up! Ribena and a mint tea bag! I can see that might be soothing though!

And yes, people go weird over last names don't they. Is it legal! No! If the law find out you'll be banged up! [Shock] I do use Dhs name in some places and mine in others. It's getting a bit confusing! I got giddy after we got married and changed my name on facebook, only to realise that was a dumbass idea as I partly use it for work too. Changed it back and DH got in a huff in a moment of 1950s husband-ness.

Good luck Feathered, hope all goes swimmingly for you this morning x

KeepTheHope · 23/12/2015 10:31

Quick catch up as I'm doing my last minute bits of packing to fly to DH's family tonight for Xmas.

Gx for all the scans and cervix poking today. It's a busy day! I hope you all get the results you're hoping for.

5hell · 23/12/2015 11:11

kate we're staying with sil and her boyf, off to see another sil now via supermarket to buy her some washing powder Hmm so dh suggested getting towels to cheer me up Xmas Smile

Can't believe we have 3 scans today...fruit, feathered & kate? !!! How exciting, hope they all go well, on time, and with plenty of lovely pics.

fruitlovingmonkey · 23/12/2015 11:47

Ooh it is a busy scan day. I'm in at 2pm. Gx for you Feathered and Kate. Hope the nausea stops soon.
Shell how do people live like that? When I met DH he had crap towels (although lots of them) and scratchy sheets, I didn't tolerate it for long princess
Hope your sweep goes well Pud come on out xmas pud!
Try to switch off Pretz, surely the baby having your name is the default option if you're not married anyway, I don't know why they're surprised. If you are married and haven't changed your name then you can choose. It really isn't that hard to understand!

KateBeckett · 23/12/2015 11:53

Just had my last wee sob now need to stuff myself full of liquid before 3pm.

I need the loo already!!

Gx fruit and feathered !

Ah I see 5hell are they the ones who went batshit while you were out or was that someone else?

pee I know! He's adorable, he has a book about the magical properties of cider vinegar, I think he'd do shots if he could stomach it!

pretzelpieces · 23/12/2015 11:56

Exactly, fruit! We're not married (DP's choice) but if we were we'd likely keep our own names as we're each published under them.

pretzelpieces · 23/12/2015 12:01

Also his title is Dr and mine is Ms so we'd never be Mr and Mrs so and so anyway.

kate I wouldn't worry too much about wee levels. Advice varies wildly by hospital and I didn't have to hold my wee at all.

honeysucklejasmine · 23/12/2015 12:03

Yes Kate, don't do yourself an injury! A pint an hour before is plenty.

lildottie · 23/12/2015 12:12

Yep also advised a pint an hour before here. Then they were late and I sat chugging in waiting room and had to let some out before they started and she was still shocked how full my bladder was! Made it easy for her tho!

KateBeckett · 23/12/2015 12:16

My letter says 800ml Shock

YogaPants · 23/12/2015 12:21

Yes, go find yourself some nice towels 5hell. If you are feeling exceptionally generous you can gift them to your hosts at the end of your stay in a 'Merry Christmas, have my dirty laundry' sort of way.

Gx for all the scans today. I drank a pint an hour before and was definitely past my comfort point for my first scan so don't think a 3 hours wait is strictly necessary.

FeatheredTail · 23/12/2015 12:54

All healthy - apart from the baby was being lazy and wouldn't move to allow for it's spine to be checked, so I have to go back for spinebifada check. Didn't find out tr sex, but sonographer was a knob - I asked of she'd have a look round the willy/fanny area and she said she would and would tell us what she saw. I asked if she would just have a look so we could see and guess - and she said "why would I do that?" And that was it! Weirdo!

FeatheredTail · 23/12/2015 12:56

Anyone want to take a guess?! Body shot and smiling face shot!

Beautiful pics feathered! Lovely and clear!
Sounds like your sonographer was a bit odd, but I'm glad everything's looking good.

TriJo · 23/12/2015 13:09

I wouldn't drink too much before the 12 week one - chugged a 500ml bottle of water on my way to the hospital for mine and was sent out twice to pee as a result!

Ended up staying with BIL last night - what a difference! No crap, no abuse, no stupid games and everything left well alone. Heading out to my family this evening. I still kinda want to just bail on Christmas at home but it should get better.

jellypi3 · 23/12/2015 13:15

lovely scan pic feathered :) scanner sounds like a dick though!

So...today is my LAST DAY OF WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/12/2015 13:19

Woop jelly!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 23/12/2015 14:01

Yay Feathered! My 20 sonographer was a knob too. Person who did the rescan was lovely though.

Jelly! About blooming time! Yaaaaaay for mat leave!

Right... Been napping on sofa. Time to do something constructive.

Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 14:47

Yey Feathered! That's great! You would think that healthy pregnancy scans were the fun bit of a sonographer's job, instead of scanning kidneys etc, some of them sound like they need to cheer up a bit!

GET IN JELLY! That's great news! Celebratory nap!

Have been for sweep. All good, cervix is effaced and a tiny bit dilated so she could feel membranes bulging. She could also feel baby's head which is just weird! But cervix is still v high/posterior (told you I had a long fanjo) so she could hardly reach it and had to 'pull it down a bit!' (Oof!) She said she doesn't think labour is imminent but that when it happens I should dilate quite well (gx!) and that it is somewhat favourable so she would be v surprised if I get to my induction date without having had the baby - so good news really I think. It was uncomfortable but not painful. Next sweep booked in as a special boxing day treat. Lucky me!

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/12/2015 14:53

Oh man pud! You masochist!

I forget (and didn't link the stats oops) but when is your EDD? And when would you expect to be induced?

OP posts:
Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 15:04

EDD was on Saturday and would potentially be induced on the 2nd Jan. Gx not going to need it though as I would have to go to hospital for that, might not be able to use the pool, wouldn't know the midwife etc. So baby needs to come before then!!!

Hobbit19 · 23/12/2015 15:06

Oh, and interesting info, mw said first sweeps with first time mums were often unsuccessful but allowed for a better 2nd sweep, which I hadn't heard before.
