Christine I am actually in awe! I have a friend that has a 3yo, a 6 month old and mobility problems/pain and she STILL DTD multiple times a day! I wish I had even 1% of your motivation. (And think DH wouldn't mind either!)
taxxi out of pure nosiness, did you and your wife's cycles synchronise?? Is that a thing that actually happens or just a myth?! You obviously don't have to answer!- but I've heard about it and always wondered.
Lots of sympathy to the ladies worried about MC. Your chances are so good that all will be fine but I know it's impossible not to worry - despite 2 early scans I'm still spotting quite a lot and therefore still completely paranoid! We're all in it together though and this is a good place to vent to people who know just how you feel.

Christinedonna · 28/12/2015 20:54

It's when we wake up (which isn't quite as often these days as I wake up feeling extremely sick.) but then only when we go to bed. After the first time I say "you have 10 minutes to rest" il go to the toilet and then I'm straight back on it (excuse the pun). Il do that until I'm knackered. I can't really sleep lately so if it wears me out it happens!! He falls asleep after every time but that gives me a chance to get myself sorted and plus he loves me waking him up by "pouncing". As I said we've always been like it but the pregnancy has really made me want it even more. I just have to bare in mind that he works all day everyday and can't keep up anymore

MrsSantaClause · 28/12/2015 20:58

Wow! I just cba most of the time! How long have you been together?

SharyBobbins · 28/12/2015 21:03

Shock Christine!!
We've dtd only once since we found out Confused OH is feeling neglected but I've just not got the energy or the inclination... I think because sex ended up feeling quite regimented when ttc (& we did it much more than I'd normally choose to!) I just feel like I want a break from it all!!

Christinedonna · 28/12/2015 21:16

I can completely understand why it changes how you feel about things when you're trying to conceive. You'd end up relating it to stress and a routine which is not sexy! We weren't trying but judging by our little routine it is no surprise it happened! We've actually only been together 4 or 5 months.

Salene · 28/12/2015 21:20

We have not done it since finding out and won't till after the 12 week mark, too paranoid. OH away half the time anyway so used to going long periods without.

To be honest last pregnancy we hardly did it as husband said he found it too weird, putting his willy near the babies head 😂😂. Certainly not at all once I started showing.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 28/12/2015 21:25

Ah fair enough Christine that may have a bit to do with it, you still fancy each other Wink I had only been back together with DH a few months (after 2 years apart) when I fell pg with DD and we still DTD then but this time around I am old and worn out!
Salene it definitely gets weirder as you get bigger doesn't it! Will never forget the time I was ready to pop and DD kicked DH at the crucial moment Shock put him right off, haha!

Christinedonna · 28/12/2015 21:27

Oh my god I almost spat my tea out then😂😂

Eminado · 28/12/2015 21:43

I was very hurt in my 1st pregnancy as i was really up for it and dh went completely weird/paranoid/scared on me and wouldnt do it with me.

However what goes around comes around as he has clearly read a bit more basic anatomy/seen how indestructible our DD id and now he is totally fine this time. I, however, am feeling fat and sick as a dog ==> nothing going on at all.

Christinedonna · 28/12/2015 21:46

I was really frustrated as when we first found out, OH seemed to be taking it really easy and just being too gentle. That didn't last long

hgleslie89 · 28/12/2015 22:11

I don't think we've dtd for about 6 weeks as I've been feeling so sick and bloated. We didn't really do it that frequently before ttc, mostly due to mismatched rhythms, so I'm not finding it as tough as I might otherwise. Really looking forward to the nausea stopping though, hopefully the hubby won't be too put off although his "pregnancy for men" book seems to contain some horror stories!

Mummystar123 · 29/12/2015 08:40

I'm not having any symptoms except my misse period an a little bit of stretchy cramping, this is baby no 8 for me. My previous 7 are with husband who I split with 2 years ago and this baby is with bf who I've jut split with. Apart from feeling -tired- exhausted, I don't feel pregnant at all.

lilygirl81 · 29/12/2015 08:46

We have done it twice in 8 weeks which is appalling, but I had a tiny streak of pink after the last time so a bit freaked out and not done it since.

Mummy welcome, oh my goodness you will have your hands full! This early I only had the stretching pains, how I miss those days now

Well according to the midwife dates, and my last scan, I am 10 weeks today which is a little terrifying, just 30 more to go. Seeing the doctor tomorrow to get my sick line extended as still pretty unwell and no way I can manage a day in the office.

prettyflowers111 · 29/12/2015 08:58

Morning all! I've been feeling super anxious the last few days. I'm only 5+4! We are meeting parent in laws at whinfell centreparcs at the end of the month and would like to tell them then as we only see each other once a year. I'm considering an early scan before we go at around 8 weeks to give me a bit of reassurance before spilling the beans.

Anyone had an early scan yet? How was the experience? Would anyone mind sharing a picture so I know what to vaugly expect?

Basketofwool · 29/12/2015 09:35

prettyflowers I had an early scan at 8 weeks at a place on Harley Street, we wanted reassurance so we could tell family at Christmas. The scan was great, they did it transabdominally (non invasive, which was nice!) and it picked up the heartbeat and showed the blob of baby, yolk sac etc. It was nice to see. I've uploaded a picture. The big blob is the baby, the small blob at the top right is the yolk sac. They sent us pictures and videos afterwards. Cant wait for the next scan now!

Christine you 2 are definitely in the honeymoon stage of your relationship! It's going to change with a new baby around I'm afraid! Grin

Feeling crap as usual lol x

FourForYouGlenCoco · 29/12/2015 10:07

mummy wow, 8 kids! We want a big family but not sure we'll be as brave as you! And agree with lily, stretching pains were all I had early on too. Sorry you're still poorly lily, hope it's all a distant memory once 2nd tri arrives! Only a couple more weeks!
prettyflowers I had a couple of early scans for various reasons, both with the dildocam but mine were NHS - think if you go private they are more likely to stick to transabdominal! Mine were 7.5 weeks and 8.5 weeks

I have a scan today at 12 but at the moment I'm throwing my guts up and feel like dying

Christinedonna · 29/12/2015 10:15

According to what they said last time I think it'll put me at 7 weeks. Has anyone got their 7 week scan to hand so I can see what to expect? I don't want to go in expecting arms and legs and see a blob

FourForYouGlenCoco · 29/12/2015 10:29

Christine my first scan ^ (on the left) was 7+3 and it is a bit blob-like tbh, but she struggled to get a decent shot. Think baby was at a funny angle! The pic on the right was 8+3 by my dates and the difference is huge!

prettyflowers111 · 29/12/2015 10:49

Wow thanks basket and fourforyou! Haha at the 'dildocam'! That was one of my concerns but seeing you had an 8 week as an abdo then fingers crossed. The place I'm looking at doesn't specify online which method they use so I'm assuming transabdominal to be honest. I'm glad you found it a positive experience, to be honest I'm such a bag of nerves that I'm just using his parents as an excuse to book in. How far in advance did you need to book Basket? I want to book now for 3 weeks time but I worry that something may happen between now and then, don't want to get too presumptuous!

Basketofwool · 29/12/2015 10:55

prettyflowers I think I booked about 2 weeks in advance. I wanted to get a convenient appointment time. I really wouldn't worry about something happening before then - firstly worrying won't change anything and also, the odds are in your favour! Go for it.

prettyflowers111 · 29/12/2015 11:19

You've convinced me! Off to work right now but as you say I need to get an appointment that fits in around us all and my nearest one is about 40 minutes so will probably need to book a half day in work too (not that I've told them yet, naughty naughty). I'll book tomorrow. I've not told ANYONE yet, not even my mother, but I'm so excited to tell his parents they will be so thrilled.... last time we visited they were on our case about when we plan baby no.2! I was living abroad last time and unfortunately really struggled to get access to medical care and so came home at 14 weeks when I had my first scan, and I just don't remember being this anxious about it all. Perhaps because the last time wasn't a planned pregnancy and we weren't ttc. Best accident of my life though! But you're right, worrying won't change anything, what will be will be!

SharyBobbins · 29/12/2015 11:31

Some reassurance scans are internal?! Confused I didn't even consider that!! It wasn't mentioned when I booked mine so maybe if it's not stated it's 'external'? Here's hoping!

prettyflowers111 · 29/12/2015 11:53

That's what I'm hoping SharyBobbins!! Although at this stage in the game if we're worried about internal scans then how an earth will be cope with examinations, sweeps, persseriers and birth haha. This is baby no.2 for me and to be honest I think I just pretend to have dignity at my down below region Grin
