I read your other thread chandelier - hope you're feeling better! What did they give you? I've been taking Promethazine (Phenergen) since 6 weeks for nausea, not actually been sick yet (touchwood!) but had awful nausea and I'm emetophobic so GP took pity on me.
They're amazing! Haven't took them last couple of days though, it seems to come and go.

Took children on 4 mile walk today and to a museum, currently refereeing bath time then got a school meeting. DH not due home for an hour. I'm exhausted!

Good luck for all those going for scans!

Glad to hear it's not just me! I have to have carbs with every meal, whereas I was never too bothered before! Bread is my new best friend! I feel that I'm still managing to eat healthily, but I could just be in denial!

I walk the dog most days for up to an hour... That's my main form of exercise. I normally also go swimming but I took a break over Christmas as I was too busy holding my head over the toilet - I need to start again ASAP, I enjoy it and it relaxes me.

Well done on the scans and future scans - it's all so exciting.

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 20/01/2016 19:23

I also take the dogs for a walk every day and I'm actually also still horse riding. Which I'm not sure is a pregnancy approved sport but I love it and my old boy looks after me.

oh I'm an emetophobe too! I have been on buccal tablets for nausea and also have not yet been sick although I've come pretty close. I eat regularly every 3 hours or so to keep it at bay. If I don't I feel awful. I see you already have kids, how do you manage your emetophobia if they get ill? I'm worried about that!

My scan is Friday too bear ok equally nervous and excited!

I'm a complete bloody idiot! I've missed my booking scan!!! Got a call asking if everything is OK, as I didn't attend this morning, I would have bet my life on it being tomorrow, but nope, it was today, and no, there are no other appointments till the 10 February. My scans on the first. I've managed to convince them to take my bloods on Monday morning before clinic opens so I'll get my nuchal risk thingamy when I get my scan. What a complete bellend I am! Blush hopefully a fluke one off and not the start of baby brain!!!

OhShutUpThomas · 20/01/2016 21:50

alfie my thing is that I can't cope with being sick myself - if it's someone else I'm ok unless it's something I think I can catch.

So milky sicks etc weren't too bad, and they kind of ease you into it tbh! Food sick not so good, and DH works away a lot. We've had the odd time when they've just randomly been sick, like when DD had egg (turns out she's allergic!) and if DH isn't there I do struggle, but you just have to do it. I can't cuddle them when they're all sicky which does make me feel bad Sad but we've been SO lucky in that they've never (touchwood!) had a bug or anything like that yet, just colds etc. I don't know what I'll do if/when they do.

Making a plan helps me - I have bleach spray for the bathroom, and towels from bedroom to bathroom if I suspect anything, then it can all go under the hose then in the wash, and bleach everything.

Honestly though, since having children I have improved so much. All the milky sicks etc have helped, and also the fact that you just can't really get away from it. And I'm super conscious of not wanting to pass my fear on to them.

Ooops that turned into a bit of an essay!! Blush

New thread, hope it works, no idea how to do one of the nice linky things, sorry! Blush

FourForYouGlenCoco · 20/01/2016 21:59

Suzie don't worry about missing it, I'm sure they get things like that happening all the time! It could well be the start of baby brain though, it does a number on the best of us! How far will you be on the 10th? Good that they're doing the bloods for you anyway.

Suziesome1 · 20/01/2016 22:11

I'll be 13+4, so I think they had to do them before then tbf, just feel like such a muppet, and I work in the NHS so I know how annoying/wasteful it is when people don't turn up! Today i also washed up my breakfast tupperware, dried it, thought no more about it. Went to get my lunch from the fridge later on, and there it was, waving at me in all its empty glory (taking up premium space in the staff fridge).... What the heck am I going to be like in 5 months time?

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 20/01/2016 23:07

oh I've got a niece, nephew and a goddaughter so I have had milky sick when they were little and I can cope with that because they don't make a noise, which I find really difficult. We have had my nephew nearly be travlesick in the car though and I cried.
I'm lucky that DH doesn't work away so unfortunately he will have to do most of the food sick. Hopefully I will improve over time, I've had just about every therapy going to no avail though so not sure! Nice to n ow that somebody else copes though, I'm worried about being a bad mum.

Have we moved to a new chat or has everyone gone worryingly quiet?
