Very sorry to hear your news Pipo Flowers

FourForYouGlenCoco · 15/01/2016 21:35

I'm so sorry Pipo, I was there too in August. The shittest thing in the world, the club no-one wants to belong to. Will be thinking of you. At least you can get some resolution now and start to process it all. Flowers

peamad · 15/01/2016 21:37

So sorry pipo can't even begin to think what you are going through. Flowers

LeoLemur · 15/01/2016 21:39

Sorry pipo Sad

OwlinaTree · 15/01/2016 22:02

quitecrunchy · 15/01/2016 22:36

So sorry to hear your news Pipo. Be good to yourself Thanks

PickleBot · 15/01/2016 22:55

It's a BABY! All looking good, limbs present and correct, normal nuchal fold measurements, strong heart beat and measuring 6 days older so I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. I'm suffering with really bad zits at the moment. Anyone got any advice about getting shot of them?

Sorry for your loss Pipo

Pipo I'm so sorry to hear your news xx Thanks

lilygirl81 · 15/01/2016 23:01

Pickle great scan photo, glad it all went well. No clue about the zits though, I seem to be keeping fairly clear.

Fly I'm considering getting one of those dopplers, think it will help in the time between the 20 week scan and the end!

I've gone to my parents for a few days to get looked after, give poor DH a break from having to do everything and worry about me.

hgleslie89 · 15/01/2016 23:10

Pickle That's brilliant. Got mine in Wednesday, can't wait now!

Pipo Really sorry to hear that. Thinking of you.

Christinedonna · 15/01/2016 23:13

So sorry to hear that pipo like you said, atleast you're not left in limbo anymore and can begin to move on. Best of luck in the future.
pickle a real baby! I've been saying how odd it is that at 7 weeks we had a blob, and now in 2 weeks we'll see a picture of a real baby! How many pictures do you get?

FourForYouGlenCoco · 15/01/2016 23:37

Yay pickle!!! It's a baby! So glad all went well, I'll be the first to hazard a guess - I think BOY! Are you finding out?
lily hope you get well looked after, I still go to my parents all the time for a bit of tlc. Hopefully you start to feel a bit better soon now the 2nd tri is pretty much here.
I soooo want my scan now! Just want a date at least so I have something to look forward to. DD looked like the Scream mask in the 12 week scan and a dinosaur at the 20 week one so am hoping for something a bit cuter this time round!

strandedabroad · 16/01/2016 07:37

I'm so sorry to hear, pipo. That's my worst fear at the moment, my heart goes out to you.

pickle that's a great shot! So exciting.

Last night we invited my PILs over for dinner to tell them. Figured I'm nearly 10 weeks and if things go wrong we'd probably tell them, so why not. They were very happy but it was a bit of an anticlimax as apparently they knew. The whole family noticed that I didn't drink at Christmas (I did pretend to drink but there's only so far you can take it) and that I looked 'a bit shit'. Thanks then!! Apparently some of them have been gossiping. I don't mind really, we got married in June and I'm no spring chicken, they all know we want children, so it was on the cards. Still it will be nice to tell my parents who haven't seen me since October, so there should be a bit more of a surprise factor. I have my Harmony test next week and then we can go over and tell them if the results are ok!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Mrs1986 · 16/01/2016 08:23

Morning everyone. I haven't posted for such a long time.
I felt that I was completely alone as what I've been through is so so rare, but I've just had a read through many pages and thought I'd give an update.

For anyone who doesn't remember:
I paid for a private scan at 7 weeks, and found out I was carrying triplets.
I called the midwife who booked me for an NHS scan a week later.
It was the worst week of my life. Spent too much time on google and frightened myself half to death!
At the NHS scan a week later, one of the identical twins had died. It's something called Vanishing Twin.
This sounds awful but I was so releived!!
I went for another scan at 10 weeks and all was OK with both of the babies.
I'm now 11 weeks, got my next scan next Thursday (11+5) and my worry is the combined screening tests won't be accurate.
As you probably know, there's the part where they look at your blood, and the part where they look at the babies via ultrasound.
I'm worried, because the Vanishing Twin means that my blood results will be skewed, which means they're fully reliant on the U/S - I mean, surely there's got to be a margin of error! One of the most frustrating things is that this isn't something that most people have to worry about!! And I'm sworn off Google!

Any supportive words would go down a treat!!! X

Mrs I'm so glad you've come back to us. I've heard about vanishing twin, sorry it's happened to you, but can understand why you feel the way you do. My sister is expecting twins just now, and her tests went fine, but I'm not sure how the vanishing twin might affect things. I'm sure the hospital probably come across this more than we would think and should be able to guide you.

Stranded what a shame about your PIL, they could at least have pretended! Hopefully your parents will have a great response for you. I'm starting the process of telling the wider world now, although I really should wait until the NT test is done on Friday, but our private scan was so clear.

I am being spoilt rotten, puppy is being walked and toileted for me (in fairness DH does that at home just now), drinks brought to me, shame it's ribeana not the traditional G&T, and my favourite food all cooked. It's things like proper macaroni cheese, which takes ages to cook so feel bad asking DH for it, but my mum just rustles it up no bother.

SharyBobbins · 16/01/2016 12:48

Just back from my private scan. No heartbeat. They were twins. I'm absolutely heartbroken.
Wishing you all the luck in the world ladies xxx

MamaB80 · 16/01/2016 13:06

Oh Shary, I'm so so sorry to read your post. Due to my lack of symptoms I booked a private scan with Babybond - it's this afternoon. I'm terrified. Ladies, please keep your fingers crossed for me. I don't want this to end. X

lilygirl81 · 16/01/2016 13:54

Shary I am so sorry, what a horrible thing to happen.

Mama good luck, let us know how you get on X

Showgirl109 · 16/01/2016 15:00

shary I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending you so much love. X

Eminado · 16/01/2016 16:13

So very sorry Shary,

Eminado · 16/01/2016 16:13

Sorry posted too soon - i hope you have someone with you.!

chandelierswinging · 16/01/2016 16:44

Shary What sad, sad news. Be kind to yourself Flowers

LeoLemur · 16/01/2016 16:56

Oh Shary that's the most unexpected shocking news. I'm so sorry.

mama good luck. I'm still trying to hold out for the NHS 12 week scan 20-days-to-go-I'm-not-counting though I'm close to giving into a private early one. I don't think a doppler will do it for me either as I have an inverted uterus- it's angled to my back rather than forward.

We're all keeping our fingers crossed for a pic like pickles!

Stranded I so agree with lily, I'd have faked it as news- it's such an exciting moment anyway! glad you're being looked after lily

strandedabroad · 16/01/2016 17:32

Thanks Lili and Leo. I don't mind, I was a bit miffed for 5 minutes but what can you do! We get on really well and I don't mind them being honest. Also it's their 4th grandchild so I guess for them it's not a huge deal.

I have an inverted womb too, so I've decided no Doppler for me either until at least after the 12 week scan. I would just worry sick - I don't need any extra reasons!

Leo, are we likely to show later with an inverted womb? Still no changes here apart from a bit of bloating (I'm nearly 10 weeks). I'm just curious if it actually bears any relevance.

So sorry to hear your news Shary. It's so unfair. Thinking of you Flowers
