christine he sounds very sweet and committed to you.

Has anyone had their scan dates through? I'm starting to panic as I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and I'm sure they need to do the nuchal fold test by 13 weeks to get the result needed.

I'm feeling a bit rubbish again today, hoping it's not the drugs and drip from Saturday wearing off, I've been in bed since 6.

If I explained how I chose my nickname I'd out myself!

hgleslie89 · 04/01/2016 21:49

I've got my booking appointment tomorrow (10+1), so expect the scan to be arranged then or shortly after.

My nickname's pretty dull - my initials and surname along with the year I was born.

SharyBobbins · 04/01/2016 21:50

Oh sorry ladies quick (random) question! You can eat scrambled eggs when pregnant can't you?! Because the white & the yolk or cooked? Been invited for breakfast & don't want to look suspicious by avoiding all eggs!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 04/01/2016 22:30

Yes course you can Shary, enjoy!

Flybynight1 · 04/01/2016 22:32

Lily nope nothing yet. I saw the mw on the 23rd though and what with the Christmas/NY holidays I suspect things are delayed. Have you had your second mw appt with bloods?

Flybynight1 · 04/01/2016 22:39

shary yep scrambled eggs are fine! fried eggs are fine (if done both sides and cooked through-just the way I like them!) and technically eggs with the Lion stamp are salmonella free anyway but I guess we are following the guidelines until changed!

Hi guys, for those with one larger breast apparently left breast larger = girl. Right side larger = boy. So we could start a three way split now team blue/team pink/team yellow. I'm secretly feeling it's team pink at the mo. Anyone else want to put their bid in?

Work was OK today, told my bosses and they were fine, happy for me etc. Boss actually said 'family comes first'. So that went quite well. Just a struggle to keep eating steadily through the day to keep feeling OK.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 04/01/2016 23:28

Team yellow all the way here. My intuition is amazing at telling me when I'm pg, amazing at telling me if it will be a successful pregnancy or not, CRAP at telling me sex of baby! I have no idea either way with this one, and was 100% convinced DD was a boy Grin We're not finding out this time (hopefully, if I can hold out) so will be team yellow til birth!
Owl that's good news it all went ok at work, your boss sounds really nice. One less thing to worry about!
Fly sorry forget to reply earlier, the Doppler I have is a Sonoline A, borrowed from my friend. It is very good, but I had one of the cheap Angelsounds one when pg with DD and found her hb at a similar stage with no trouble at all. Neither of them are professional level afaik but it doesn't really need to be I don't think as we're not trying to diagnose anything, just having a listen!

quitecrunchy · 04/01/2016 23:39

Ooh Owl I do like a good old wives tale! So my left boob puts me in team pink. Me and DH have both had a feeling from the start we've got a wee girl on the way too. No doubt all this means that baby is actually a boy but I'll call myself team pink for now!

I'm 6+4 and feeling rank today. Not looking forward to going back to work on Wednesday!

Christine aww he's one of the good ones!

laura2602 · 05/01/2016 00:13

Hi ladies, bit late to the party and waving a very nervous hello! I'll be 7 weeks on Thursday, due 25th August. Already have a 3 year old and have had 2 miscarriages. I started bleeding (bright red, not good I know) for about an hour on New Year's Eve, and been spotting brown ever since. Still have sickness though so don't know whether it's pregnancy related or a bug? Have a scan on Wednesday, fingers crossed!

lilygirl81 · 05/01/2016 01:22

fly I had my 2nd appointment a couple of weeks ago, so had hoped my scan letter would have come by now. I'll maybe give it until Friday and then give the midwife a quick call.

For some reason I think we are having a boy, but no reason behind it. We are going to find out as soon as we can though, I'm rubbish at suspense!

Pipo1704 · 05/01/2016 04:52

Christie he sounds as though he really adores you.

Laura hi, I think we're around the same sort of time :)

Right slightly bigger here but I'm sure it always is! We're unsure if we'll be team yellow (I probably won't be able to resist not knowing!)

Awake at this ridiculous hour with a dull ache / crampy / windy / bloated. Always a night!! First day back at work too :(

Flybynight1 · 05/01/2016 07:57

I spoke to early re sickness... Maybe it's just back to work nausea but this morning I am gross :-( none of my work clothes fit, I just look fat! My boobs are huge and shapeless in my sports bra-I can just get away with a strapless bra which has always been a bit big but I can only find one strap so now I'm going halti to work... Talk about classy!! WAAAAAAAHHHH :-( the weather is terrible, my normal route to work is flooded, I feel like everything is telling me to just go back to bed....!!

OP posts:
peamad · 05/01/2016 08:51

fly I can totally sympathise! I haven't been too nauseous the last week but this morning (first day back in office) I suddenly felt sick halfway through my porridge. Also planning to make a trip to m&s tomorrow to try on new bras, it's so obvious wearing my far tight ones under my work clothes! From the flooding can I guess you are in Yorkshire? I am too Smile

Pipo1704 · 05/01/2016 09:44

Fly sounds like you're having just as poo morning as me! I am shattered! Starting to feel sickly and crampy at my desk. The cramps worry me the most!

WaitingforaRainbow07 · 05/01/2016 09:44

How's everyone doing today?
I managed 3 days with no spotting At all but it's back to brown again today, driving me crazy!! I literally feel exhausted like I have ran a marathon when in reality I have hardly moved from the sofa!! I have a scan tomorrow at 10:45, soooooo nervous!! Sickness seems to have gone today so that's not a good sign :-(
Trying to keep positive though, really hoping I get to stay with you ladies!!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 05/01/2016 09:45

The lack of sleep probably doesn't help with the nausea. Good luck keeping the boobs contained fly and pea!
Welcome laura, sorry to hear about your previous MC, it makes early pregnancy very fraught doesn't it. If it helps, I had a big, bright red bleed just before Xmas and the giveaway (for me) that I was still pg was that my symptoms carried on just as bad as before! Have you spoken to your GP/EPU to arrange an early scan or anything? Will keep fingers crossed all is well for you!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 05/01/2016 09:47

Sorry waiting cross posted, will keep everything crossed for you as well! So so hope you stay here. They need a crossed-fingers emoji thingy on mn!

quitecrunchy · 05/01/2016 10:41

Hi laura, we're due date buddies SmileBest of luck with tomorrow's scan!

Keeping fingers crossed for you waiting

I wish this rain would let up. I really need some exercise but don't think I could face anything but a gentle walk but can't face going out when it's tipping down! Someone was talking about pregnancy yoga the other day, how is that going? Sorry can't remember who that was!

hgleslie89 · 05/01/2016 10:43

Just had a chat to a very nice midwife from my EPU. As this was my second episode of spotting I'm going for a scan tomorrow afternoon. Very excited but also quite apprehensive now!

chandelierswinging · 05/01/2016 11:29

Sorry for being so quiet ladies. Welcome to newcomers and Flowers for all who need them and Chocolate for those who can stomach it!

Waiting Special un-MNetty hugs for you at this challenging time Flowers

Like several of you, I'm also waiting to be seen at the EPU, but my GP surgery is being particularly crap at referring me! My consultant wrote to ask them for me to be referred long story early in my next pgcy, so I rang last week to get the wheels in motion. I was told it had been noted as a "red flag" task for my GP... but when I called to check, it hadn't been done! I was then told it would be done by the duty Doctor... which it wasn't despite being red flagged again but it would be done yesterday... Surprise, surprise; it's STILL not been done! Wondering whether to go direct to my consultant or the EPU now. WWYD? I am approx 5.5-6.5 weeks (PCOS and post-mc dodgy cycles!) and news to be seen in clinic at 7/8 weeks.

chandelierswinging · 05/01/2016 11:30

That's good hg Have everything crossed got you.

Christinedonna · 05/01/2016 11:42

chandeliers just pester them!! They'll get sick of you ringing/ turning up and sort it. That's how I've always dealt with things. Although at my EPU they've always said "your appointment is on this day but if for any reason you need to come before, just turn up!" So maybe it's worth doing that? They're all women there (at mine anyway) they won't have the heart to turn a worrying mother away! Even if they say "we can't fit you in today, come back "...." Good luck!

I went to my GP this morning as said this sickness is just too much, it's non stop and I can't do anything. He gave me cyclizine, anyone had any experience with this? I also said how I get really light headed and faint and feel like I'm going to pass out and he said it was to be expected as your blood pressure drops in pregnancy. I thought he'd be concerned and maybe look into anemia but apparently not

Christinedonna · 05/01/2016 11:52

Is a bowl of spaghetti covered in salad cream weird?

lilygirl81 · 05/01/2016 11:56

christine eat what you fancy, no matter how weird it seems to others. I've had cyclizine, it worked reasonable well, just wasn't quite right for me.
