Oh my gosh Lily, if your mums soup is going down well then just stick with it. CN you manage anything like bread or crackers to bulk it out a bit?

I've been out shopping today, managed about 4 hours with a half an hour rest in the middle & I'm shattered. My legs are aching and I have a stitch like pain in my side. Surely this tiredness/discomfort should be at the other end of the pregnancy when the baby is much bigger!!

SharyBobbins · 30/12/2015 15:19

*can

Christinedonna · 30/12/2015 15:29

Also maybe try and see if you can push it a bit. Soup with bread, a pasta & sauce of the same flavour? Pasta bake? Something easy to go down

RoRosie · 30/12/2015 15:55

Hello can I join?
Was over at pregnancy section wondering why there was no chat like this going on. Found you a couple of days ago and nearly caught up.
I'm 7+4 according to my 2 scans (one today and one at 5+6). Periods a bit irregular so going by scans with a due date of 13th August. First pregnancy. I'm in Ireland.
Glad to know I'm not the only previously sane woman now worrying ever time I go to the toilet and wishing for nausea!

WaitingforaRainbow07 · 30/12/2015 16:48

Thank you for the lovely welcome! Would love to have people to talk too as we are not telling anyone because of all the previous losses.
Just rang surgery and my hcg is 1198. Does that sound ok for 5 weeks? I know it's irrelevant until we find out tomorrow's results. Going to have to wait until Monday though as the doctors are closed Friday, so unfair :-(.

Lily I had hyperemisis with my previous successful pregnancy, my only girl, so I can sympathise. It was absolutely horrendous and I still weighed a lot less at the end of pregnancy than the beginning!! Nothing worked with me apart from being admitted and having iv fluids and meds. It started improving after 12 weeks but went by 20.

lilygirl81 · 30/12/2015 20:50

Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it. I can manage small amounts of other stuff, but it's tiny. Drinking lots of milk though to try and bulk it out that way. Waiting that's good to know yours at least calmed down at 12 weeks. I am on anti-emetics, and not really being physically sick, it's just this constant nausea and the feeling that I will be dick if I eat more. Due to a stomach operation s few years ago, it's actually physically difficult for me to vomit, I wonder if that's partly my problem as I'm scared to let it get to that point.

Has anyone heard from bergamotmouse recently, not sure if I've just missed her posts

FourForYouGlenCoco · 30/12/2015 21:02

Hi Rosie, glad you found us!
Waiting sounds normal to me but I'm no expert, how annoying to have to wait til Monday! Hope it flies by for you.
Not heard from mouse for a while, there are a few people who seem to have gone quiet at the mo though - was wondering where Som was but then she posted! And no word from mrs & the triplets for a while either. Think people are just busy with other stuff at the mo rather than surgically attached to their phones like me expect it will pick up again once normal service resumes in the new year.

Somnambulator · 30/12/2015 21:24

I was busy being all vommy so went a bit quiet Smile

lily what medications are you on? You can always chop and change as there are few things the docs can try. Also it's generally the low blood sugar that makes you feel more nauseous so lots of little snacks of what you can keep down is good!

Cracked out the foetal Doppler tonight and found the little bean. Helps with the constant anxiety that I'm imagining being pregnant.

9+4 today. glen excited that there is a group for September now!

Anyone have plans for new year?

Biscuitswithtea · 31/12/2015 07:18

Sorry, I went awol too. All fine, just knackered and energy is being used up by excited toddler and visitors. DH is being brilliant and thank heavens he is off work too this wk!

I had my booking in appt yesterday. It was fine and because this is a subsequent pregnancy, quite quick because the system remembers a lot of the info from before. Anyway the most comical bit was that I am apparently taller. I think the height measure was incorrectly attached to the wall. I have NEVER been 156cm in my life. Closer to 151cm... Can a 34yo have a growth spurt??

I hope everyone is okay and muddling through :)

prettyflowers111 · 31/12/2015 08:06

Haha I wish I could have a growth spurt Biscuit!!
I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and not yet booked in with my midwife or been to gp. Does anyone know if I may be better off just contacting the midwifery team directly rather than wasting an appointment at the doctors. I know in my area they don't confirm the pregnancy and just refer you straight over. Seems daft to take an appointment space up for that.

Had a horrendous night sleep last night, worrying about stupid things like a drip in the bathroom (plumbing not through the ceiling!), needing to clean the windows and the fact that I still haven't delivered my last christmas gift. I'd didn't help that DD, age 3, came into us at 2am saying she could hear someone saying 'hello'..... creepy!

M2B816 · 31/12/2015 08:19

I'm not surprised biscuit, we had health fair at work a couple of days ago and 4cm have been added to my height! I wonder where did that come from! Nice to hear someone in an exact situation Grin

SharyBobbins · 31/12/2015 09:28

prettyflowers my GP didn't see me I was just told to fill out a form at reception for a midwife referral. Maybe just phone the surgery & see if you can collect the form without an appointment Smile

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 31/12/2015 09:30

pretty
I didn't even have to fill out a form just phones reception and said, I'm pregnant and they booked me I'm with the midwife. I would do it sooner rather than later though as a lot of us have found it takes a couple of weeks to get an appointment.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 31/12/2015 09:36

pretty yes just book direct to midwife, and agree better to ring sooner, I called at 7 weeks and the first appointment was at 11.5 weeks! Sorry you're not sleeping well, hope you have a nice chilled out day today. Not sure how many of us will make it to midnight tonight!
biscuit glad you're doing ok, your sudden magical growth spurt made me laugh Grin
Som that's awesome that you found baby on the Doppler, so reassuring! Did it take ages? My friend is lending me hers today so will be having a go with that tonight (9+6). Keeping fingers crossed I find baby, am over a week from last scan and starting to worry a bit again Confused God I can't wait to get past 12 weeks!

Christinedonna · 31/12/2015 09:42

I just had to re arrange my dating scan now that I'm not as far along as we first thought. 2 more weeks added to the wait😔 Although it will be my 4th scan so I shouldn't complain. I do have a picture of my little blob. I just can't wait to see how much it's grown!

Somnambulator · 31/12/2015 10:31

glen it take take a bit of time, but have had lots of practice as previously worked in a GP practice with lots of pregnant ladies! Also my scan dates put me forward a few days so may be more like 10 weeks..... Still not had my booking though!

quitecrunchy · 31/12/2015 10:52

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't said hi to all the new folk over the last couple of weeks yet - hello!

Morning sickness has eventually started for me, joy. After reading what everyone's been going through I am not looking forward to the next few weeks! Hope you're all coping ok.

Pretty I just phoned up the GP surgery and after some um-ing and aw-ing and being put on hold (you'd think I was the first woman in my area to fall pregnant) they told me to just phone the widwife unit. If you know the GP doesn't confirm pgs in your area I'd probably just phone up the maternity unit directly and see if you can refer yourself.

Happy hogmanay everyone!

alduxbury · 31/12/2015 11:18

Hi all - hope everyone had lovely Christmas periods. I'm 10 weeks today but have gone a little quiet as we are currently on the edge of possibly bad news. Don't want to go into too much detail but brown spotting, typically upon wiping off and on since Tuesday, with the occasional tinge of pink & a small red blood clot. Rang my GP who advised I ring the EPU. They advised that unless I get severe cramping or a bleed that is like a period then to just assume all is normal. (?!) They can offer me a viability scan but not till next week so we are just seeing how we go on and will call back if need be.

I also feel decidedly less pregnant these past few days - nausea almost gone entirely, boobs are no longer agonising and don't seem as swollen and I've slept through the night without needing to wee so we aren't feeling too positive at the moment.

I don't want to bring the mood down so will sign off for now.

Good luck to you all!

WaitingforaRainbow07 · 31/12/2015 11:35

I'm also on my way out I'm afraid. The brown spotting I have had for 2.5 weeks turned bright red during the night. I suddenly don't feel pregnant anymore and my self protective barriers have shot up!! I had such a good feeling about this one but looks like miscarriage number 7 is happening. I have been out and bought massive pads and strong painkillers and have my hospital bag packed ready by the door (had a massive haemorrhage last time and was taken in my ambulance).
Good luck to you all xxx

SharyBobbins · 31/12/2015 11:45

I'm so sorry Flowers Thinking of you both xxx

prettyflowers111 · 31/12/2015 13:02

Awww no ladies I'm so so sorry. Do keep us updated if you have the energy or time. Flowers it's not over until it's over though so try and keep a glimmer of hope if possible.

Thanks ladies, I'll call the hospital directly. Unfortunately I don't have an epu in my area so I'm guessing to just ring through to the maternity ward and see if they can direct me. Fingers crossed it'll be nice and straight forward.

I still haven't got myself dressed today Confused but I have hoovered, taken down the Xmas Dec's and cleaned the windows. Currently watching a rubbish film with dd and contemplating digging the iron out. My ironing pile is starting to look more like a mountain range!

Eminado · 31/12/2015 14:18

I am so sorry Waiting and Alduxbury

Sending you all my good wishes and hope

Xxx

lilygirl81 · 31/12/2015 14:32

Som I'm on stemetil (Prochlorperazine), was on another beginning with c but it did nothing.

Aldux don't give up, my boobs are much less sore and the sickness is meant to calm down towards the 12 week mark. Keeping everything crossed that this is just one of those bleeds that passes.

waiting I'm so sorry, I really hoped this was it for you

Having said I've hardly actually vomitted, this morning made up for that, barely able to keep water down for about an hour, still feeling fragile.

M2B816 · 31/12/2015 14:51

So sorry waiting and adlux, I wish you both well Sad Thanks

I am feeling rubbish today, braced myself to go grocery shopping with OH. I ended up sitting in the car with puke bags! Not sure how am I going to be able to stay up till midnight, nap is very much needed now.

Hope everyone here have got nice plan for the countdown. Happy new year and hope little bean is kind to all mummies out there!

LadyBundleBrent · 31/12/2015 15:02

Hi everyone and congratulations! Can I join please?! Due on 21 August - God feels weird even writing that. Looking forward to an early scan on 13 January. Christmas period has been a bit of a nightmare as I am usually found tucking into the booze so I think everyone suspects! Off for a cake to deal with my afternoon sickness xx
