Ahh I've just read a bit more of the thread and can see that it is not all good news. Thinking of those who are having difficult times.

Eminado · 31/12/2015 15:16

Welcome Lady and congratulations.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 31/12/2015 16:20

Welcome lady, congratulations!
waiting I'm so so sorry, really wanted this to be the one that worked out for you Sad
aldux so sorry for you too. It's such a crappy thing to go through. Not sure if you want anecdotes or not (have been on the wrong side of false hope before and it's horrible) but I have had spotting and a full major bleed this pg and all ok. Am still spotting with little clots now.
Will keep everything crossed for you both Flowers

Belager · 31/12/2015 18:14

Hello all, I've been reading all week and thought I'll come out from the shadows to introduce myself. Due 20/8/16 will be DC1. Found out Xmas morning which was a shock! Unfortunately I started bleeding on 28th, saw GP who thought it was a mc or ep. Thankfully scan today shown all is good. There were tears when I saw heartbeat. Was told bleed is prob implantation. Fingers crossed for all going through hard times. I know how horrible and isolating it can feel.

HazzaB89 · 31/12/2015 18:25

Hello all. How are we all this evening? It will be a quiet NYE here once we have put DC1 (14mo) to bed at 7. Anybody have slightly more exciting NYE plans?

FourForYouGlenCoco · 31/12/2015 18:48

All good here, couldn't find anything on Doppler this eve Confused sad times. Just got loads of static and not much else. I'm quite skinny too and found DD quite early so was hopeful but no joy. Am now feeling a bit paranoid and trying to forget about it! Nice evening tonight though, takeaway eaten, DD (3y) allowed to stay up as long as she can handle, nice chilled out night Smile bring on 2016!

Somnambulator · 31/12/2015 18:52

aldux and waiting thinking of you both during this testing time. As others have said don't lose hope just yet. Things could still turn around.

lily I'm guessing the first one was cyclizine. Ondansetron is really good if you run out of options with the other antiemetics and things get really bad but is a pricey drug so many clinics don't readily offer it.

glen don't lose hope with the Doppler yet :) did you try before and after peeing?

Eminado · 31/12/2015 19:02

Sorry Four

Feeling very sorry for myself this evening -
Nausea is here with a vengeance. Am hungry but cant think of anything to eat - just miserable

Jw35 · 31/12/2015 19:03

Adlux I hope everything's ok Sad so sorry Waiting Thanks

GlenCo I tried the Doppler today too, I thought I heard a faint allowing heartbeat right down low and left but the 2n time I tried just wooshing noises! How far are you? I'm 9+2 I think it's too early for dopplers yet really! I think I was about 15-16 weeks last preg when I heard it! Try not to worry!

Well I was going to come on here and moan about feeling sick but you know what I won't now because there's ladies who would give their right arm to be sick with no other issues or threatened miscarriage! Let's be positive! Happy new year everyone Smile

Jw35 · 31/12/2015 19:04

Sorry 'faint Galloping heartbeat' not allowing! Like a little pony!

Eminado · 31/12/2015 19:04
Blush
Jw35 · 31/12/2015 19:06

Oh sorry Emindo! Blush you must have posted at the same time! I didn't mean to be rude, just trying to be positive! X

Also pizza goes down well at the mo, what sort of things can you eat?

FourForYouGlenCoco · 31/12/2015 19:11

I did try before and after peeing Som but was REALLY desperate before so think I probably just heard my bladder Grin was completely silent beforehand then lots of rustling and static afterwards, with my heartbeat on both sides of pelvis and not much else! I'm tall though and have huge wide hips so lots of pelvic space, no hint of a bump yet either. Baby is probably just well hidden still. May try again in a bit when not quite so desperate for a wee. Didn't help that DD was next to me watching peppa pig and DH kept coming in to talk about mirrors and stuff (why?!). How long did it take you and Jw to find?!

Eminado · 31/12/2015 19:16

Didnt think you were being rude.

I do try not to moan am just fed up today. Still no letter re early scan date and dreading work next week feeling like this.

Genuinely cant manage anything i can think of esp savoury foods. Have had scones with jam for dinner for 6 nights.

Currently working my way through a tray of ice cubes but not very filling Hmm

FourForYouGlenCoco · 31/12/2015 19:22

Eminado stick with what you fancy, I've been eating a lot of English muffins with peanut butter & jam - not ideal but a bit of nutrition at least! Could you stomach something like that? Or granola with honey & yoghurt? Stick with sweet stuff if you need to but just adapt it maybe?! Sorry if you've thought of all this!

Eminado · 31/12/2015 19:23

No suggestions welcome at this point, thanks!

Christinedonna · 31/12/2015 19:45

I have survived off of quavers for the past 3 days now. The OH and friends are having a Chinese tonight..I'm sat with quavers

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 31/12/2015 20:02

I'm miserable too I'm afraid. Nausea is awful and it makes me panic so much. I hate feeling sick, I want to sob my wee heart out but if I cry I feel worse. DH is being so patient, bless. I cannot wait to get to the second trimester. The first is dragging.

BuffaloCustardbath · 31/12/2015 20:22

Thinking of you both aldux and waiting - we are here if you need somewhere to offload.

No exciting NYE plans here - eating hot pot now in case we don't make it till midnight. DD is being a little monkey today, we were going to let her stay up till she crashed but I think it might be best for everyone's sanity of she goes to bed soon Wink
I'm just watching a bit of the Edinburgh Tattoo on TV at the moment and feeling extra tired.

The problem with feeling absolutely fine so far is that when I do feel tired or a bit rough DP is not used to it like he was last time and doesn't just use his initiative, lol.

PickleBot · 31/12/2015 20:56

I just ate and enjoyed a huge dinner - hooray! I'm also wearing my jeans for the first time in a couple of weeks and they have to go under the Christmas chub bump. Grin happy new year chaps! Here's to many a revealing discussion in the next 8 months and beyond!

QuCee78 · 31/12/2015 21:21

Hello - another lurker here coming out of the shadows! Currently 7+2, Due on 16th August... Sorry to see that some ladies are having a really tough time, feel very sad for you 😥

I'm also struggling with the roller coaster of symptoms, some days feel very preg (sickness, tired etc) and other days like today, nothing!
Drs appointment isn't until the 12th when I think they just confirm pg and then refer to midwife, so no idea when scan will be!! A few more weeks to wait I think until we find out if everything is ok...
Happy New Year's Eve to everyone 🎉

alduxbury · 01/01/2016 10:19

Happy New Year ladies. Thankyou for the well-wishes, I now have a scan booked at the EPU as this is day four of the light brown spotting and I'm getting anxious. Mentioned it all on the phone and they couldn't have been nicer. Not feeling too hopeful but at least we will know one way or another.

I'm going to bow out but wishing you all the best for your pregnancies Smile

SharyBobbins · 01/01/2016 10:28

Good luck alduxbury Flowers

hgleslie89 · 01/01/2016 12:29

Happy new year everyone! Despite the morning sickness, this is probably the best I've felt on New Year's Day for about a decade Blush

Hands up if it's your first pregnancy? I find myself turning to Google in a panic whenever I feel a little twinge or change in symptoms and I've no idea whether what I'm experiencing is normal or not. Anyone else in the same boat?

taxxigirl · 01/01/2016 12:30

Hi and happy new year ladies, I'm sorry to those of you who've had bad news these last few days and wishing you all the best for the future.

I'm relieved to be waking up today without a hangover, but feeling sick isn't much fun!!!

I'm wondering if I can get any advice - I just can't convince my brain everything is ok - I am still poas every few days and it's actually stressing me out. From people who aren't on their first pregnancy, how did you convince yourself it's real whilst you were waiting for first scan? I'm 7+4 and it's driving me mad :-/ thanks in advance :)
