I really feel like a porker listening to you all mentioning your weight.. I am 5ft 7 and weigh more than anyone has mentioned!! before I was pg!!!..

Anyway.. someone told me to freeze grapes and have them if I fancied something sweet.. They are lovely, like sucking on a sweet and good for you..

Jennster · 24/01/2007 21:48

STOP TALKING ABOUT WEIGHT YOU ROTTERS

Went to Center Parcs last year when DD was 4 months old and it was hard work. Think lots of the sites are quite hilly and if you are pushing a pram it's quite exhausting. There are no activities other than the pool for under 5s. Was good but hard work. We were also sharing with another family with older children (5 and 2) who we are really friendly with. We didn't realise we had issues with their child rearing methods until we lived with them though....

boobunny · 24/01/2007 23:45

Wow, you lot are a chatty bunch!!!!

I had a bad few days and felt really very weird. Thought that once I hit 12 weeks I would start to feel better. Sure enough the MS seemed to ease but was replaced by a real dizzy feeling and I have fainted a few times! My journey to work takes around 40 minutes on the train and I had to stand on Monday and just fainted on my feet. My heart has been hammering in my chest and hvae felt very breathless! Very upsetting and I was really worried about it.

Anyway, all is normal and I've been told its a change in hormones and that my heart is working harder due to the pregnancy and extra blood flow...

And while I'm having a little moan (have also noticed I have been feeling very tearful and a little down in the dumps)...I had to go to an exhibition on Tuesday for my company and was on my feet for 10 hours. I asked one of my colleagues if she would mind if I go at 5 (the exhibition was on until 6) and she said that she wanted to go home early and that we should flip a coin! She knows I am pregnant and I thought it a little unfair....anyway, I left at 5 anyway and she was fine about it!

Im laughing out loud at the 'rabbit' comment! Wish I had the energy! and 'Yes' to increased hair growth! (I swear my tummy is looking hairy - Ewwwwww!)
I am completely in maternity clothes now! Definitely no going back! Have no idea how much weight I have put on because I don't believe in scales!

Twoplusone - You have a beautiful family! You look exactly how I imagined you! Very vibrant and bubbly and attractive! Thanks for sharing.

Good luck with the scan bubble...let us know!

Sorry for the long post and if I seem a little down in the dumps. Have no idea why I feel like this as have been very cheerful up to this point! Damn hormones!

Have a great day everyone.
x

Due 25th July. I had a nuchal scan last monday at the Fetal Medicine Centre in Harley street. NT was 1.4mm, nasal bone present, to leaky valves in the heart. Was all looking good (about 1 in 300+) until they factored in my blood results. VV low PAPP-A and high HCG gave me an overall result of 1 in 7. I had a similar experience with my DD last pregnancy. We opted for a CVS, performed by Nicolaides himself (highly recommended by me) and had an agonising 48 hours wait for the results. Everything is absolutely fine. I felt it would be but was preparing myself for the worst (spent 48 hours eating real rubbish, sort of not daring to look after my baby - all v strange). Very stressful time but I am glad we did it as I can enjoy the pregnancy now - oh and eat properly! We opted to find out the sex - it is a boy. We are thrilled. We found out that the baby is a CF carrier (apparently like 5% of the UK population) which means that either I or my DP must also be a carrier. My two older sons are from a previous marriage and I am pretty sure they were tested for CF after birth - that heel prick thing they do on babies of about a week old. DD is clear as she was tested when we had a CVS with her. Does anyone know anything about the ramifications of being a CF carrier? Sorry for long post!

Caroline1852 · 25/01/2007 12:24

Should have read NO leaky valves in heart.

twoplusone · 25/01/2007 12:43

Sorry caroline dont know the answer to the question about the CF.

Well a total mystery as to what ds has thrown all over the front room as I cant find the bottle.. the rooms he had done were the kitchen hall and frontroom, but the sustance is no were to be found!!!!have even checked the bin....

He cant reach the cupboard werre i keep cleaning equipment as even I have to stand on tiptoes to get to it!!!

typhoonsmum · 25/01/2007 13:04

Don't you love toddlers. ( Is she still a toddler at 4)
