Hi, not been on for ages and it all looks weird and different. My poor preggie head just can't cope!

Glad to hear a few of you have had scans now. Chooster, good that you saw the heartbeat, frustrating that you still don't know about the genetic concern yet. Still, Christmas will hopefully take your midn off things and the 3rd will be here in no time.

Have not heard a dickie bird from midwives. Have no idea when I would get a scan here (dorset) - conflicting reports from everyone who I have chatted to who have had babies here recently - but consensus seems to be between 16-20 weeks, so looooong way to go yet.

Feeling like I'm getting over the worst of the knackeredness and urge to eat my own bodyweight in carbs on a daily basis.

Hi to all new people - didn't have time to read back the old thread so am completely clueless as to developments, but hope you are all in fine fettle xxxx

twoplusone · 15/12/2006 11:27

wethreebodkinsoforientare - when i was pg with ds we lived in blandford,(dorset) I went private for the 12week scan as they did not offer them, my midwife told me 12 week scans were of no use!!! so the first there is generally about 20 weeks.. hth.

Just got ds and i ready we are of for a walk... need to post dh xmas cards.. have had them ready for a week keep forgetting to take them out with me... bless him... xx

wethreebodkinsoforientare · 15/12/2006 11:33

I'm officially blooming! 12 weeks today and my sister has just told me that my face has changed completely in the last two days. Which is exactly what i'd thought too this morning. Have gone from looking desperately tired and gaunt to rather rosy! Is complete change. Not boasting, honest, just very excited that I don't look quite so c**y any more. Wishing blooming on the rest of you in time for Christmas...

BrandyTutter · 15/12/2006 12:28

cakehead you give me hope

i'm 8+5 and look like shite

Hi all - And special wave to my July 25th buddies .

I've definately thickened and gained weight so my trousers are exta tight . Gosh, am I'm only just over 8 weeks!!!! I know it has to do with eating twice as much stodgy food, but at least I'm not constantly sick... Hopefully when I start eating healthier again in 2nd trimester, it will even out... Does anyone believe that as well or am I just deluding myself!? I just think I look like I'm 4 months PG already!

Thanks Abgirl for the roll call - Great you've managed to sort everyone out in the right order - You are a star! And yet again, it lovely seeing people at 11 / 12 weeks - It gives us all hope!

xx

aaagghgghhh just wrote a nice post cant remember what I was saying and ds deleted it!!!

cakehead- glad to hear you are blooming now. It is exciting that one of us has reached 12 weeks it means we are all nearly there....

Does anybody know what happened to the fairies that do housework etc as mine has gone on strike and I want it back!!!!
I have been going to do the ironing all week but the basket is still in my room with a mountain of clothes all over it.

Are you all ready for christmas?
The childrens pressies have started coming in from family in the uk now so feeling a bit more christmassy now. Must wrap up there pressies from dh and I might do that after I have done the ironing, washed up hoovered, walked the dog bathed ds, but him to bed...etc etc.. oh the joys... lol

looking at my walls ds has left some lovely little hand prints on them today with his chocolate fingers.... another job to do tonight. i think I will just watch a dvd with dd instead....

sorry long post just waughling ....

twoplusone · 15/12/2006 13:20

Sorry abgirl- also ment to say thank you for the stats you are a star

twoplusone · 15/12/2006 13:25

Firestar- I only eat cod from the fishy or fish fingers at the best of times... not a fish lover. I do like prawns and tinned tuna, but not really eating them esp the prawns

I have noticed that i am not snacking between meals and I going for fruit (clemintines ) if I do... which for me is very unusual as normally I love crisps...

I can never decide though what I want I am trying to decide whether to cook tonight or take the kids out for tea. I have puut the oven on to pre heat (dd finishes school at 14.30 on fridays and generally wants her tea by 3pm.) just incase. just dont know what I want to eat. i fancy veggies and cheese....

gingertoo · 15/12/2006 13:38

Can sympathise about the expanding waistlines! I found out on Monday that i was pg - now on Friday and my trousers are tight. I suppose I am nearly 12 weeks, but it seems quite bonkers that my stomach can grow that much in five days!! (DH says that i've just stopped holding it in!! How charming of him to say so!!)

By the way - I'm not totally daft not realising I was pg until 11 weeks!! .....Doc swapped me to 'mini-pill' because of migraine and said that I may not have periods. Didn't worry about the missed ones! Whoops!!! Maybe I am a little bit daft!!

I'm SO excited though - can't wait til scan on 29th so I can start telling people!!

Oh THERE you are! THanks FirstStar!!

Forget who said it - but I look like shite too! ANd an emotional wreck - ah the joys of pregnancy. Cant stop wanting carbs - what is going on?

Good luck on all first scanners - mine wont be for another 4-6 weeks - we dont get a scan until 12-14 weeks here.

snowytyphoonsmum · 15/12/2006 18:28

The whole layout of this has changed.

Just to confuse me.

Felt much better today. Too much better so I began to panic. Maybe the area of bleeding is something. Then I tell myself to shut up and stop thinking about it.

Nausea wasn't to bad today, only borked once, boobs not very sore - still sore tho.
I need to stop thinking too much.

Please take my mind off it.

Polarbeartime · 15/12/2006 18:45

Cakehead at the blooming - that never did happen to me last pg cos I was anameic. Just got paler and fatter!

Firststar - tesco healthy living breaded cod fillets aren't bad - with ketchup of course and fresh prawns dipped in horseradish mixed with ketchup 'nyum nyum' as ds would say

On the expanding waistline topic, I thought I was doing so good - they say 3-4lb the first trimester - i stayed the same the first 11wks and thought I might make it with no weight gain. then the last week - on went 4lbs! i think that might have been the four pizzas I scoffed in one night maybe?

Fresh pineapple and melon are sooooo good to me at the moment.

I might tell someone at church tomorrow even though my scan is Thurs, just can't keep it to myself too much longer!

fido · 15/12/2006 19:04

Hi all
haven't posted for ages, couldn't get round to catching up with last thread. I too have put on weight, am nearly 10 weeks, and put it down to too much bread and being too wrecked to move off sofa in the evening. The only foods that appeal at the moment are white bread and tapioca.
I remember quite clearly in last pregnancies that suddenly one day my jeans just would not do up. I think the baby must move up out of the pelvis one day and thats the end of the jeans.
I haven't got a scan appointment yet, suspect it will now be after the New Year.

giulia68 · 15/12/2006 20:02

hi all, just posted elsewhere as had a bit of drama. dh putting ds to bed mistook calendula cream for toothpaste and.... yes, ds swallowed a little slug of the stuff. i rolled my eyes but now dh says i should be more worried. any thoughts? it was organic... ( sceptical face goes here.)

other than that i am feeling SOOOOOOO bad i can barely type. sick, bloated, exhausted and weird pulling pain in lower tummy and even below ( blush face here.) can't do the emoticons, sorry ladies. x

lynneclynne · 15/12/2006 20:22
