Firststar - The haircut made me feel so much better....they were really sweet to me and all wanted to know about my pregnancy and made me tea and gave me biscuits and the girl who washed my hair gave me a lovely head massage!

I came out with extremely shiny hair and feeling very relaxed...heaven!

I would recommend it to anyone who feels a little washed out!

Giulia - Thinking of you still x

Happy friday everyone!

Kyte- Have mine on Tuesday...I've never wished a weekend to go quickly but hope this one does!

Glad you have some cute pictures to show after your stressful time. Thats a wonderful idea to send pictures out. I will do that too as my MIL lives abroad.

Firststar - Its definitely worth doing 'the hair thing' to make you feel better! Worked for me! Sorry to hear you are tired today. I still couldnt get past the 3am mark! grrrrr.....

Kyte - I really think it helps the guys too. My DH said it doesn't feel real to him at the moment, so I am sure it will help him. I just want to see it to make sure I haven't been imagining all this!
I really think you should speak out to make you feel better and also for other mums who shouldnt have to be punched to get the scan! HOpe you feel better today.

Well, I had no clue what I wanted for lunch so went for a walk. I stumbled across an Asian take away and am now sitting at my desk the proud owner of a Thai Green curry and rice.....this is the best thing I have tasted in weeks! I just hope it sits okay for the afternoon!

Big hugs to all!

Cakehead · 12/01/2007 13:42

Ooh, Myfairone. That sounds good. Might need Thai take out for dinner....

Cakehead - What with all the MS (or should I say 24 hour nausea!) I havent felt like eating anything but today had this huge craving for something spicy! Its soooooo nice!

Kyte - I hear that! I really should be watching my pennies because I don't get paid for another 13 days!!!!!! But, I figured it was Friday and Im worth it!

Miaou · 12/01/2007 14:12

myfairone, I live in the Highlands, west coast of Scotland. I can see Mull from my living room window, so that gives you a bit of an idea! It's very beautiful but very remote - I am a long drive from the hospital when I go into labour. Depending how fast it all begins we may decide to sit tight and have the baby at home rather than risk delivering in a lay-by!! (neither of which would be my ideal scenario!! )

You are so right! I know the curry was really spicy because everyone was complaining about the smell (Whatever, pregnant woman needing to eat. Sorry!)

I just know my DH will feel more involved when he has seen it. Plus, it will hopefully make up for all the whining I have been doing about my MS!

Miaou - Wow, your home sounds beautiful! I hope that you don't end up in a lay by! I am sure it would be a beautiful lay by but not the ideal place really! ALthough, all that said, your hospital sounds lovely so I guess either way for you it doesnt matter! As long as you can get there!

Miaou · 12/01/2007 15:50

Just to give you more of an idea, here is my village

Hmm yes re. going to hospital, any of you who were around 18 or so months ago may remember my stop/start labour with ds - I was admitted to hospital 4 times before I finally had him! Impossible to do that this time - I lived 30 miles nearer to the hospital then!! I am determined not to worry about it at this stage though

I am sooo I have no heating or hot water..... my oil has ran out...they told us it will last 6 months and it has lasted just over 2.... just spoke to a neighbour and apparantley we have to wait a week for delivery........

I know they will tell me i is my fault for not checking the levels but why would I chck when as far as I am concerned nothing needed to be done till April May time!!!! aaaaagggghhhhh

Somebody is getting it in the neck from me tonight...........

I just want to sit and cry........

justbeme · 12/01/2007 16:42

Ohh twoplus one - Its horrible when that happens - I remember having no heating when it was really icy out - we all went to bed wearing hats and lots of layers!
Can you borrow some electric heaters to get you by?
Or else the hot water bottles will be on the go constantly......

Myfairone · 12/01/2007 16:42

Miaou - It looks beautiful! I am assuming that most locals know how to deliver babies seeing you are so far away from the hospital!

Twoplusone - Please don't sit and cry! Take some deep breaths, relax and then call someone and cry and scream and tell them you are pregnant and need heat nowwwwwwwwwwwww!

Have a great evening everyone! big hugs

Thank you...

The repair man is here.. my engine had gone so he is replacing it now..

quick service..
he has just left and boiler is fixed...
Took dog to vets earlier...that was entertaining.. she wouldnt go in as there was a dog near the door way..(my dog likes clear door ways hates squeezing through or walking over anything!! she wont even push a door open if she wants to come in the front room!!..) so vet and I had to carry her (37kg of dog!!) which vet then told me off whe she realised I was pg.. when we put her down it was next to two cages..boith containing cats..which my dog hates...so she started to get excited and we had to litterally push her into the examination room... she was good as gold for the Vet had her injections no probs so that is us for a year..unless she is ill... As we were leaving the vet said I think you should leave via the back door....lol alot easier for me..

So have had an entertaining day... oh and DH phoned
